BS...The Raiders will trade Jamarcus for Eli any day. :-)

Are you on a suicide watch? <G> Seriously, in losing to the Rams and
Seahawks, and looking typically awful in both, the Lions have blown their
last chances for a second win this season. You can sharpie them in for 1-15
right now.

BTW, who thinks the Bucs should go back to the orange and red color scheme
next season?

We'll absorb both contracts. We'll take Eli, they take Jamarcus. Forget the
cap, Al has lots of money.

Her point is, E Manning isn't a backup QB.

The Dolphins would also take him...although it looks like Henne might
end up being a damn good QB. Hard to tell though when the fucking
"receivers" can't catch the ball though!

You can't be serious.

Over 3,000 yds and over 20 TDs for 4 straight seasons.

Other teams have figured out how to beat Eli. Blitz him early and often. He
gets rattled.

That said, he didn't lose the game yesterday. He didn't commit the holding
penalty on the 4 yard line after the big interception.

Same way to beat a LOT of QBs, including the "great" Tom Brady.

However, again, he did not play anywhere near up to the potential of the
highest paid QB in the NFL. That's the norm for Eli Manning.

Seriously, if the cap year gets blown off next season, the Giants should
strongly consider making the bold move and letting him go, or try and
squeeze him (if allowed under the NFL-Union agreement) to sign a
overwhelmingly reduced contract.

Oh dear. Well, I suppose this makes sense considering he's a fictional
character. It really falls right.into.place.

But hey, at least he's from a Pulitzer Prize winning novel. Gotta be
pleased with that.

Hey, if it weren't for salary caps, we would have won 5 more
Superbowls! The salary cap was our downfall.

So could the Raiders with JaMarcus or Cinci with Ochocinco...take your pick.
For those of you who think an uncapped year means someone will attempt to be
football's version of the Yankees, think again. This recession will have
the opposite effect because if the salary cap goes, so does the salary
floor. This means more than a handful of teams would gladly all of let
their high-priced veterans go and field a team of nothing but rookies and
low-level free agents next year.
