Antonella will soon, IMHO, be done

The local Fox channel in DC, tonight, reported that the less racy
pictures of Antonella shown on the web....were taken on the grounds of
the World War II Memorial.

Reportedly, one of the larger, if not one of the largest, groups of
World War II veterans (along with their survivors) are now taking this
very personally.

This crosses the line, IMHO, for TPTB of AI. She's going, I think, to be
gone in the next week. She may get so hammered for performance that she
leaves, or they may remove her....but taking on WW II veterans who are
offended by a desecration of the memorial dedicated to them, I think, is
just too much even for AI to handle.

Also, it is clearly posted that one is not to go into the pool etc. at
the museum. The markings of the pictures on Fox, appear to clearly show
her in violation to that.

I couldn't care less about the racy pictures or other crap.

She's a crappy singer who should never have been selected top 24. She
should have been gone this week.

I have a really bad feeling that she's going to be another Ace -
punishing us for a long time before being uncermoniously booted.

Speak for yourself!!! If you didn't like Ace that's your own business,
but he had (still has) a very large fan base that loved him, and was
VERY sorry to see him leave in the 6th spot last year. You sure can't
compare Antonella to him. Even my husband saw it on the news about her
tonight and told me it looked like one of the women contestants was
leaving the show, but I think she would this week regardless whether she
had posed with hardly anything on in the middle of Route 66, or was seen
out in public, with a floor length gown that had a turtle neck and showed
next to no skin at all. I'm not condemning her, as I don't know the
facts, but she maybe should have used better judgement, especially since
she planned to try out for American Idol. And...here they turned Tommy
away cause he had a DWI on his record!

Here is what i would like to see

Ryan: We are sorry but you had the lowest amount of votes this week
.... (pause) .... but the good news is you're going to come back next
week! Because Antonella Barba has been disqualified from the
competition.

She made the mistake of having the picture taken, she made the mistake
of blowing a guy in front of a camera. Now she has to take the
responsibility for it.

Remember that black kid that could sing in TX? The one who got busted
for weed and disqualifed before Hollywood week ?

How about the one girl who got eliminated for being in a porno last
season ?

If AI does not treat Antonella the same as the rest i would say that
would open the door for potential lawsuits based on discrimination.

You don't know what you are talking about. Blowing a guy in front of a
camera? There are no pictures of her doing that.

I suspect that a lot of the opposition to her is from people who still think
that is her doing the BJ.

Her singing in the audition was pretty good. Her singing last week was good
in spots, bad in spots. Lets give her more time to see how it pans out.
There are other women who should go before she does, all things considered.

Do you think she deliberately was trying to offend WWII veterans? Do you
think reasonable WWII veterans would be offended? Do you think WWII veterans
even follow the show to any sizeable degree? (LOL these folks would be in
their 80s.)

So she violated a sign that said not to go into the pool. Throw her in
prison for 10 years!! LOL

I haven't looked into this thing but are we even certain that the conclusion
is correct that that was the pool. Is the proof indisputable? Even if so --
much ado about nothing. She did not intend to offend veterans I assure you.
LOL In fact, the vets I know - my fathers generation, would get a kick out
of seeing the pics.

While I didn't like Ace's singing at all, I could mute the tv, look at him,
and still get through his performances. For me, it was Paris that lasted
way too long. Now *that* was punishment.

It was so common for soldiers in World War II to keep pictures of sexy
girls pinned up in their quarters that's how the term "pin-up" was
popularized.

Let's honor those who died to protect our freedom and way of life by
performing a high-tech lynching on anyone who exercises a bit of it, eh?
Come to think of it, that sounds more like the way the enemies of our war
dead would have run things.

Personally, I think that if you thought Ace could sing - especially
when he was doing the falsetto - you should have your hearing tested.

I even listened to his album, and finally just had to turn it off
because it was just so bad.

Maybe - just maybe - if he'd sing an octave or two lower, he'd have a
good voice. As it is, he is just plain terrible.

Ace coasted by on his looks for way too long. Considering how his
album tanked, I'd say that his fan base only likes to see him and not
hear him.

Bill O'Reilly is reckless and I think can be fairly called a fool. Remember
when he said that that kidnapped boy likely enjoyed his captivity, and that
is why he didn't try to escape? LOL

Now he is asserting that those BJ pictures are really Antonella? Like I
said -- reckless. Actionable slander? Her lawyer should look into it, if he
in fact said the above. At least on Olbermann last night Olbermann took the
angle that the pictures are fake.

I think it is Fox's way of building her up. They are going to go for
the extra demographic of people who have no interest in a singing
contest but want to see the naughty babe. I'm telling you, this kind
of controversy attracts viewers. Prudish viewers won't stop watching
either because they will tune in to heap scorn on her for the way she
dresses, the way she sings, and for all her past transgressions,
whether they were fakes or not.

I agree with the poster who said 10 years imprisonment for violating
that no wading sign at the Vet pool, and if she pee-peed in that pool,
they should give her life and throw away the key, but sell water
samples to raise money for the VA.

On top of that, Antonella has more talent in her left breast than Ace
had in his whole body. Yes, he was about as cute as AI contestants
get, but come on, his singing was pretty blah.

Now let me focus, I'm bracing myself for another meltdown by the men
tonight, and I have to clear my mind in preparation for my dear
Antonella's next performance. I feel I must do something to counteract
all the negative, judgmental bile that is being squirted on her.

It doesn't matter her intent, she did it. There are, evidently, enough
around that their organization is upset enough to speak out.
Additionally, it seems to permit descendents to be a part of it and they
have started to speak out (much like the American Legion). I don't see
a lot of LOL in this, no offense personally intended, as these folks are
the ones who made our world as we know it available for the rest of us
through their sacrifice.

Of course not, but it does, IMHO, show that she knew she was desecrating
a national monument.

She appears to be sitting in one pose on a portion of its reflecting
pool that has a reference to WWII on it. Say what you want about
national Fox news, the local DC outlet is sharp on local stories. Add
in that it is the local Fox outlet that broadcasts the show which
contains her as a "local college" performer, and it's not hard to
appreciate that they would have a tough time going after this story. As
for the vets you know, ask them their thoughts.

People who are inclined to get their panties all in a bunch about some
little thing (and this is little) will do so. People who have more of a
sense of humor and lighter outlook on life won't. There are plenty of Vets

Now *here* you might be on too something. Maybe this has all been a
set-up from the beginning. I mean, it would explain why she was put
through into the top 24. If they were passing on people who forgot their
words, then she should have been passed over too, but wasn't. And it's
not like she's a good singer. I had no idea this story had found it's
way to Big News. Seriously? This is news?

Yes! And.....may I remind YOU, that how you feel about Ace is just
you're opinion too, and obviously in this NG we ALL have opinions, or we
wouldn't be posting, I don't suppose. Because you say say "Ace was a
lousy singer" does not make that a factual statement either. Antonella's
audition WAS good, I'm not denying it wasn't, and I'm not comparing her
to Ace (I was only replying to Jewahe's statement he made in this
thread) but I could almost guarantee she would never make it to the #6
spot on A.I., even without all the bad publicity that has surfaced.

Ace's voice didn't appeal to everyone, just as Taylor's, or Elliot's,
Katharine's, etc. (I didn't care for any of their voices that much) but
there were many that also liked Ace's voice (yes, AND his looks didn't
hurt! ha!) as I would go to the American Idol site daily and read the
discussion boards for several, and Ace was right under Chris' for the
number of posts and threads about him....he had a very large following,
and were all favorable towards him. Many loved his falsetto, as I did,
and yet on here people were merciless at how "bad" it was....and that's
why it took me 4 months of "lurking" around the NG, before I would post,
as thought several were SO hostile about Ace and Kellie in
particular..sure hasn't seemed to change much either, even though a new
season has begun! :-(

They're all frequently thoughtless.

Somehow I can't picture her waking up one day and deciding

Thoughtless yes.
Deliberate desecration ? hardly.
The term Swift-boat comes to mind.

True, 'SS' - but IIRC, Williams wasn't "just" photo'ed in a wet tee;
the girl was "picking fruit" and "laying carpet" if yaknowattamean.

Your avoiding the question.

We're all quite clear now, about your opposition to Antonella
taking a dip in the water fountain without wearing a bra.
You've made *several* posts now, voiceing your discomfort.
We're all quite clear now on your postion.

I asked why you have failed to voice your opposition to the
low-life idiots who are spreading phony BJ pictures on the web.
And you avoided the matter.

Nslookup shows www.antonellabarbapix.com has an IP
address of 208.109.226.16, a quick check with arpanet shows
this address belongs to godaddy.com.

So lets start with ab...@godaddy.com.

One question Bob, one simple question and it has nothing to do with
your balls.

How many letters are you planning to write to godaddy.com today?

Odd then, that you'd ask about hanging "photoshoppers" up by the balls
- when you have no problem with them. No?

No, I don't need to "remind you" of anything, the same as you don't need
to go "reminding" me of anything on this thread...you came on and
replied to me in a post that I made to Jewahe, and his was the only

on here and chastise someone (in other words, you can dish it out, but
can't take it?) and I never said that because I feel a certain way, that
it's a fact, and not just my opinion, so now you're trying to read my

And...since when did it become a NG law that one is not to use capitol
letters to emphasis a word?

She should've been tossed LAST WEEK.

But given how much Fox wants to play with the military propaganda, one
really has to wonder how much more of this Fox can take, permission
given or no, before they disgrace themselves.

Sadly, these photos probably would, in a legit vote, otherwise make
Antonella _a_ frontrunner, if not _THE_ frontrunner.

Definitely. Especially given the lack of real stars in this field,
you are looking straight down the barrel-head of trying to explain how
she went out (lacking a DQ en masque) in the final four or something
like that. This has nuclear train-wreck for Idol written all over it.

There needs to be a Vonzell Solomon, who should have gone out WAY
earlier but who makes it to the top 4 or better every year. She may be
it this season. (note, Elliott was that person last season, despite his
fans, no offense but he really should have gone out much earlier)

There a HUGE difference between what Davis did, for which she should,
rightly have been bounced and everything Antonella did...until she used
the WW2 Musuem as a backdrop. Now, she must go. Davis was a clear
decision that shouldn't have taken 4 minutes to make.

Hey Calli' the IMDB does state;
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449059/trivia
"Abigal Breslin wore a fat suit for the part of Olive"

And have you seen her in the Hewlett Packard commercials?
She's a sweety; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZtGdjcHBx4

Well, since I am Taylor's real gf, and I am Moni and you are Moni too, then
in a weird way, you are Taylor's real girlfriend.

Thought the show was hilarious - funnier to me because my own son did
a similar dance at 10yo during a school play of the musical 'Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory'. Mine was Oompa Loompa No.7, the one doing
the "Ride And Smack The Pony's Ass" move on stage. Really.

A Nikki McKibbin, a Scott Sabol, etc.

The real problem is, in a legit vote, eventually, one of those people
has to win the whole damn thing. And, lacking any real buzz for a lot
of the others, what's to say it wouldn't happen this year???

That reminds me of another thread I'd like to start... I'll get to
that in a second after I finish responding to you.

Elliott was a matter of look -- that's it. He was clearly more
talented than anyone in the field, and may have needed one more year,
because, clearly, all the talent in this field is clearly not a sight
for eyes to have much pleasure for.

I consider them one in the same. I don't see much a difference
between the two, myself.

Davis got paid to pose for a porn site. Big difference.
Antonella (apart from desecrating a national memorial for which I want
her gone) has done nothing more, to date, than what you see in the SI
swimsuit issue.

Now, wait a minute. It takes all my time to simply be everyone who posts
