The final episode of the sitcom was not particularly happy as it was the
first of a two part episode - the final part never being made. Part Two was
supposed to have been an NBC Special even if they didn't commision a fifth
season. So ALF was just captured at the end of the sitcom. Thankfully we
had a happy ending at the end of Project ALF.

Could anybody tell me whether the syndicated versions of this episode
carry the words "To Be Continued" at the end of it?
Thanks ever so,
Sc
In Australia, we saw up to the point where ALF was standing under where
the ship would have picked him up, and he stood facing the Alien task
force agents.
Project ALF has never aired over here. I get the impression we haven't
missed much

Before you buy.
The episode shown in Britain on Sky One which I gather would be the same
version shown as any other english speaking international countries did
indeed have the words 'To Be Continued' at the end.
I have no idea as to the U.S syndicated Version though !!

It's certainly better performed and written than some of the weaker season 4
sitcom episodes where I felt the writers were running out of original ideas
for the Alfmeister. It was a way to finish off the sitcom story whilst
seeing if ALF could work without the tanners. In my opinion - he can -
fuscos performance was top notch as per usual and the film was well
shot/filmed & cast.
I do agree though that it wasn't as strong as 'classic alf' - ie:- blowing
up the kitchen, rigging the ratings, both the christmas episodes and of
course, putting cat fish in the talking toaster !!!
Toast Up !!!
