Stephen J. Cannell dies aged 69

Stephen J. Cannell was the prolific writer-producer of
dozens of TV series that included "The Rockford Files",
"The Greatest American Hero", "21 Jump Street" and
"The A-Team". In recent years he had focused on
writing books, many featuring Los Angeles detective
Shane Scully. He died at his home in Pasadena from
complications of melanoma on Thursday, 30 September,
2010.
