I always thought that Beverly Mitchell was younger than Jessica Biel. I
mean Jessica just looks so much older than Beverley and Beverley doesn't
look like an 18 year old she looks more like a 14 or 15 year old that
hasn't matured much yet. Well, that is my opinion what do y'alll think?
let me know and keep me posted!
I was surprised to learn Beverly was older at first. I thought she
looked even younger than her character. But once I found out her age, I
started to see that she DOES look 18 at lot of the time, especially when she
wears certain styles of make-up. However, I still think Jessica Biel looks
older than her age and older than Beverly. Before I knew Jessica's real age,
I figured she was several years older than her character. I still think she
looks 19 or 20, as opposed to the 17 she really is.

Beverly was on a clip on KTLA news a few weeks ago and I noticed that she
looked a lot older than she does in the show, but I think it was partly just
the way she holds herself up is more mature than on the show, I think it's
evidence that she has some good abilities in terms of her acting. Although
knowing that she's older, I can look at some episodes and see how she might be
"trying" too hard to be younger (when she's upset with her parents are the
times when I notice things like that, it might be bordering on a bit cliche
or something), but in general I don't feel that, it only shows its head at
select moments.

For example, the first half of the episode "nothing endures but change" she
spends screaming at her parents because they won't let her go in a car with
her friend or something trite, which granted is normal for teens, but it was
the sort of cliche way she was yelling that bothered me. However, in the
second half of the episode she did a 180 and impressed the heck out of me
when...well, I won't spoil it in case you haven't seen it, but it's a fabulous
episode (and if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about).

There have been more than a few episodes when she's done some impressive
acting I thought, but also some the other way usually, as said before,
involving more trivial storylines.

Anyone agree? Disagree?
