Zak, Nick and Aaron are the best ghost-hunting team on television. Courage
in the face of ghosts, even friendly ghosts, is rare. But to deliberately
chase after and taunt angry ghosts of violent psychopaths? Fuggedaboudit!
I remember their first special on the Sci-Fi channel. After that amazing
evidence, it was obvious they would land a television series.

I actually agree with your assessment of GA vs. GH on most points. The
TAPS GH team have gathered a wealth of compelling evidence over the years
in their series. Their credibility seems generally irreproachable, though
healthy skepticism of some of their conclusions or interpretations of the
evidence is "to err on the side of caution." Truth and fact, to me, are
like sunlight. You can definitely see the sun in a clear sky if you dare
look at it. You can feel the sunlight warm your body, and see the sunlight
gradually tanning your bare skin. That's the benchmark of what I consider
to be absolutely solid, conclusive, and irrefutable evidence. It's real.
Ghost-hunting deals more with what I would call the dream world. Fact is,
most of the ghosts I've ever encountered, including my own, was in my
dreams, usually when I was in a deep "rem" sleep, though occasionally when
nearly about to awaken from a dream. Dreams are real. Lucid dreams are
even more real, more than a full moonlight is real. Ghost-hunting seems to
be a scientific field of investigation by gathering and analyzing evidence
in an attempt to bridge the greater world of sunlight with the lesser world
of moonlight, as to evidently connect the real world with the dream world.
Their fancy high-tech equipment has helped tremendously in doing just that.
GH seems to have run its course. They had a good run, but time to move on.
To me, it's like they hit a brick wall of coming to rely solely on evidence,
and that's what made a previously unpredictable series become predictably
unexciting and repetitious. Locations change but the song remains the same.
It is obvious that the GH team are getting "cabin fever" with the tedium.
The GA trio have very interesting personalities. I used to respectfully
refer to Zak as "the angry jew!" With age and experience, he's toned down
his rhetoric and posturing a bit. Some people use weightlifting routines
for exercise and body building. I get more exercise in one day than most
people get in a month, yet weightlifting has never been part of it. But I
digress. GA is, overall, more interesting and fast-paced than GH. I would
compare GH to GA, as I would compare a patient, stealthy, stalking mountain
lion to a charging hippopotamus. If deer are plentiful, mountain lions will
rarely attack anything else, even if they're nearby or just passing through.
They really are shy and hermitic, and about as innocent as a newborn infant.
I know this from personal experience (talk about seeing a ghost!), and from
reading up on cougars after the fact. The hippopotamus, on the other hand,
if it's in the mood, will pretty much charge down and destroy anything
sizable that it sees and can outrun. Unbridled aggression is their middle
name. Zak, while restrained, always does seem about one inch away from
going ballistic. It's just his personality, although when he gets around
other big strong guys he seems to mellow out, but only slightly. Jason has
the opposite personality. He's laid back, really easy going, but you can
sense that there is a powerful lionesque strength in him beyond his obvious
physique. If Zak and Jason were to get into a fight, they would probably
end up killing each other if neither tapped out or said "uncle." My guess
is they've already met and are friends. Professionals all the way.
