One man is recovering from gunshot wounds to his face after a shooting
in Surrey at noon on Saturday.

Surrey RCMP responded to a shooting near the 8900-block of 152nd
Street and found a wounded 38-year-old man.

The victim was at a bus stop when he bumped into an unknown man on a
bike. There was an exchange between the two, and the suspect then shot
at the victim, hitting him in the face. The victim was treated at
hospital.

Police are searching for a young white male, about 20 to 30 years old
with a medium build, dirty blond hair and a light beard. The suspect
was wearing a dark hoody, dark board shorts and carrying a purse as
well as a blue bag with empty cans — and riding a bike.

The RCMP general investigation unit has taken over the investigation.
RCMP say there are no links to gang conflict.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at
604-599-0502.

Surrey has become a hotbed of homosexual and transsexual violence
towards its citizenry. Investigators should take a close look at a
known vagrant who has been seen wandering Surrey in search of a long,
black hose.
