I had a busy day yesterday, and I have a busy day tomorrow. That leaves today
open, and I must and will go on posting spree of TC news. Luckily, there is a
TON of interesting and worthwhile items that I've already found. Here is a
quick update on Siberian serial child killer Alexander Spesivtsev, who was
found mentally incompetent to stand trial, a few days ago, and thrown into a
high security loony bin. He was only CHARGED with killing, dismembering, and
cannibalizing FOUR little girls, but as we learn in the update below,
authorities believe Alexander MAY have serially slaughtered up to EIGHTY
people, most of them children! Wow, that is a HUGE number!
As reported by me previously, Alexander's own Mommy actually HELPED him
acquire the victims, by luring children into their house, for Alexander to
kill. What a FASCINATING case, and when you consider that the victim count
could be MORE than FIFTY, there really is no excuse for true crime authors and
journalists not FLOCKING to Siberia to interview Alexander & write books about
him. Hopefully the maximum security loony bin will NOT block Alexander from
having access to the media, or from having people visit him.
We get confirmation that Alexander had ALREADY been committed to a loony bin
for killing his girlfriend, years ago, but was RELEASED. Only after his
release, did he begin his prolific serial slaughter spree. He was arrested when
police found TWO dismembered female bodies inside his apartment, along with a
third gal who had been brutally tortured and was almost dead too. The reason
WHY prosecutors believe Alexander is a PROLIFIC serial killer, is because he
kept clothing of his victims as souveniers, and upon searching his apartment,
EIGHTY different pieces of BLOODSTAINED clothing were found.
Of course it's quite likely that each victim got SEVERAL pieces of her
clothing stained with blood, so this does NOT mean there are necessarily 80
DIFFERENT victims harvested by Alexander. Seems to me that it would be easy
enough to do DNA analysis of EACH bloodstained garment, and establish exactly
how MANY different DNA strands there are, which would give us a much better
handle on the approximate number of victims. C'mon, you Russian pigs, I know
you're POOR, but there is no excuse for failing to do EVERYTHING possible in
terms of forensic analysis, to determine the number of victims.
Take care, JOE

Russian Cannibal Found Insane
10/06/99
MOSCOW (AP) — A man accused of killing as many as 80 people, and eating
at least some of them, was found insane Tuesday and committed to a
high-security
psychiatric hospital, a news report said.
A Kemerovo regional court in western Siberia ruled that Alexander Spesivtsev
was insane, the news agency Interfax said.
Spesivtsev had previously spent time in a mental facility after being convicted
of murdering his girlfriend. He was arrested in the fall of 1996, when police
found
two dismembered bodies in his apartment, as well as one young woman on the
brink of death.
A search of Spesivtsev's apartment revealed 80 bloodstained pieces of
clothing, prosecutors said. They said tests established that none of them
contained blood from anyone in Spesivtsev's family.
There have been several cases of cannibalism reported in Russia in recent
years. Andrei Chikatilo was convicted of murdering, mutilating and
cannibalizing 52
people in Rostov-on-Don prior to his arrest in 1990. He was subsequently
convicted and executed.
