MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Madison police arrest A school band director
and his son as part of a child pornography investigation.
24-year-old John “Bradley” Nash is charged with possession of child
pornography. His father, 58-year-old John Nash, is charged with a
violation of Alabama’s mandatory reporting law. Bradley Nash is a
volunteer with the Discovery Middle School Band, his father is the
school’s band director.
Police say school administrators notified them on June 28 of a
possible inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old female student
and the 24-year-old Nash. Police were also informed the alleged
relationship had been previously reported to the band director,
Bradley Nash’s father, who police say failed to report it to
authorities as required by Alabama law.
Officers got a warrant to search Bradley Nash’s computer. According to
police, they found obscene images of minors. Police arrested both
father and son at the Madison Police Department.
Bradley Nash was booked on a $2,500 bond, while his father was booked
on a $500 bond. Officers also tell us John Nash has been placed on
administrative leave prior to his arrest. Police say the investigation
is ongoing.
