I guess I'm also not alone in being suspicious of the way Cosby's kid
met his end. I saw the CNN helicopter shots as the body lay alonside the
car. What caught my eye was the fact that the passenger door was open but
the trunk lid was closed (do they put spare tires in the passenger seat on
Merecede's?). He was supposedly alone (I suspect he had a passenger who
left the car in a big hurry). Also when the car was loaded onto the roll
back truck all 4 tires seemed fully inflated. I doubt if the cops would
change the tire before moving the car. Was there a flat tire in the trunk
and will the coroner find dirt on the hands?
I wonder why the female could talk to the cops at first but now she is
too traumatised to co-operate? She said he was a white guy but can't give
details about the get-a-way car? Fishy, real fishy.

FYI, It WAS really cold that night. Down in the <shiver> 30s, which for
Los Angelenos might as well be below zero.

Hmm maybe this will seem fishier...maybe not. The last account I read
stated that Stephanie Crane met Ennis Cosby earlier in the week and invited
him to her house for dinner. He called her and requested steak (not a
very polite thing to do, IMHO) for dinner but she had a cold and didn't have
any steak on hand so Ennis cooked supper for himself at home and went to
Stephanie's house later. Now didn't this happen around 1:00 am? I would
think that Ennis must have had a real late supper and if Stephanie was sick
with a cold, why would she want company at 1:00 am?

Anyways, Ennis Cosby calls her from his car to tell her he has a flat tire
and she decides to drive over to his car. She gets there but even though

she's wearing a full length fur coat in Southern California, its too cold

for her outside and she opts to wait in her car. Someone suddenly taps on
her drivers side window terrifying her so she races away and returns a scant
few minutes later to find Ennis lying dead.

Then her description of the guy tapping on her window differs significantly
from the security guard's description (he was also in the area at that
time). Then Ms. Crane becomes too distraught to help the police adequately
anymore.

Maybe I am too suspicious...maybe there is nothing there...hmmmm...

My problem with the above --

The woman is identified officially only as a 47 year old screenwriter.
the NY Daily News (a paper with a very poor reputation, by the way) is the
one claiming to identify her but I don't think the name was "Stephanie
Crane."

No reports that can be found show anything like what you are asserting as
"truth" so I have to assume you are reading tabloids or watching tabloid
shows that babble these rumors out. Please try to restrain yourself and
consider that these reports may be without any foundation whatsoever.

Whenever someone says they find it odd that a person would be wearing a
full length fur coat (it wasn't full length, by the way) in Southern
California and still be cold has never spent much time in sothern
California and especially in the foothills of Los Angeles. It gets very
cold there in the winter. I know.

We don't know that the story about her having been sent away or leaving
and returning is anything like what she may have told the police. The LAPD
are ebing very good about keeping information out of the press.

: Then her description of the guy tapping on her window differs significantly

The above is pure speculation; nothing like that was ever reported in any
responsible media.

Yes, maybe you are too suspicious and maybe you are not suspicious enough
of the quality of your sources.

Who is to say that the cops hadn't done a cursory search and left the

police.

The cover story on today's NY Post (that bastion of journalism that ain't
fit to wrap fish) has Steve Dunleavy (that blowhard from Down Under)
claiming that "Ennis had to know the killer." Me, I'm tempted to think
its a bizarre random act. I feel terrible for the Cosby family and am
going to contact Columbia University about making a donation in Ennis' name.

How about those 3" high heels? Let's see, on a cold, cold morning what
would I wear if a friend placed a distress call to me and asked me to
come hold a light on him so he could change a tire?

Yup.....I'd get out my fur coat and 3" high heels.

Wow.... you know what? If this turns out to be "fishy" or some sort of

a conspiracy, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. But I don't think
so.
These statements about his car having 4 inflated tires -- maybe he had
finished changing the flat before he was shot.

The passenger door was open so you suspect he had a passenger who
bailed out of the car in a hurry? When one has to pull to the shoulder
of the road to change a flat and the driver's door might extend into the
road; it makes sense (perhaps only to me) to leave the passenger door
open. And a million reasons for him to have left it open.

It happened to be freezing cold that night: maybe he wanted to be able
to jump in the car to warm himself up; maybe he wanted to hear the phone
in case his friend tried to call him, etc.
There are all kinds of maybe's that may dictate common sense.

Or maybe she watches several news programs and reads several accounts,
and can't remember who said what, so she can't determine who is
credible and who isn't. That's *my* problem, because I don't take
notes as I read and listen. They all run together, y'know.

Okay, so maybe the cops screwed the lug nuts on so the tire wouldn't
fall off while being towed.

Also could be true. And perhaps Ennis *did* leave his driver's door
open (though I doubt it), maybe it was the cops who closed it. At this
point, who knows (certainly not the tabloids)?

And I also have first hand knowledge of *real* cold weather...that is
subzero temps. A full length real fur coat is plenty insulating in
temperatures of -20F or colder with wind chills factored in. It should have
been just fine in 30 degree weather for the few minutes she was going to be
outside her car. I don't really know how important this thread is to the
case, but it just doesn't seem valid to say she was all THAT cold for the
few minutes she was outside.

But what about those mini-skirted, very naked legs? The coat wasn't
that long! No matter her connection to this case, she should be arrested by
the fashion police!
