I found some old post in this NG that mention the Ramsey housekkeeper
and her handyman husband. Are they suspects? She would have a key,
access to the notepad and probably had heard enough to compose the
ransom note with some personal Ramsey facts.

I also read that she stated she didn't know about the room in the
basement. I guess she was a partial-housekeeper.

I've given her and her husband real serious consideration from the
beginning, and have wonderd myself if anything "new" has come forth about
them? Their names are Linda Hoffman Pugh and Marvin Pugh. Way back at
the beginning, it was reported that she had asked Patsy Ramsey for a loan
of $2,500. which she would pay back in "work", but Patsy had told her she
couldn't get ahold of that much money or something, and Linda Pugh
reportedly said "I'm sick of you and your damned money!" The, a few weeks
later, she was on TV and was saying how she suffered terribly when she got
the news that JonBenet had been killed, etc., all the while crying what
looke to me like "crocodile tears", saying how close she and Patsey were,
etc.. She also said how just before Christmas, she had asked Patsy for a
loan of "$2,000." and how Patsy said "no problem" etc., and what a
wonderful person Patsy is, etc. Interestingly enough, I was looking
through some videotapes last night and came acroos this TV interview with
her and decided to keep it just a little while longer. It also seems to
me that I read something way back where Linda Hoffman Pugh also said there
was a "hidden" key outside of the house and that key was missing, but
that's all I've heard about that since. Of course, there is so MUCH the
police know that we haven't heard yet, so who knows? (Only "the Shadow"
knows.....)

Forgot to mention it, but in the TV interview, she says she DID know about
the "little room" in the basement, but didn't know about it at first.
Also, early on, she said that Patsy had left her a note back last Fall,
telling her to take some bags of golf-clubs down to the basement. She
aslo said that right after Thanksgiving, Patsy told her to bring up the
Christmas tress and decorations from the basement, which she said she did.
In the "early-on" interview, she also said whatgood friends she and Patsy
were, how "close" they were and that atsy often "confided" in her, etc.,
which I really doubt, myself, as most people do not "confide" in the
"hired help", especially someone whom they have only known for up to 15
months! She also said how much her daughter and JonBenet loved playing
togethr, etc., which I CAN believe, kids being kids and all, but can't
help but think that if the truth were jnown, the Pugh family probably
resented the hell out of the Ramseys, their money, house, success, beauty,
etc. Yes, I STILL have my doubts about the Pughs, alright, but realize
that only time will tell.

His name is MERVIN not Marvin. The
loan-turned-down-angry-employee story was attributed
to Nedra and is from one of the early Tabloid stories.

IMHO, the reason why we have heard nothing about the
Pugh's since mid-January is that the press, tabloid-sleuths
included, has determined that they are not news worthy,
not to mention un-photogenic!

All I know is, this fellow (the husband) looks like an FBI "Enhanced to
show the aging process" photo of Adolf Hitler at the age of 60. The same
hair, mustache, gaunt face -- a spitting image of an older Hitler. That
doesn't bear on his guilt or innocence, of course.... unless you find it
odd that someone would _decide_ to wear his hair and mustache this way!

Also, not to be overly personal or anything about people I've never met,
but photos of this pair seem to bring to life the old nursery rhyme: "Jack
Spratt could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean...." If you've seen
the photos of them, you know what I mean.

Just another oddity in an ever-oddening case....
