A former adult movie star used her good looks and acting experience to scam
more than $40,000 from six North Jersey banks before being arrested this
week, authorities said.
Joy Marquart, 30, known simply as "Farrah" when she starred in dozens of
porn films during the 1990s, was arrested Monday after a teller at a
Washington Mutual bank branch in Emerson recognized her driver's license as
a fake.
She was being held on $105,000 bail at the Bergen County Jail, charged with
theft and attempted theft.
Police say Marquart withdrew up to $7,500 at a time from banks in Emerson,
Fair Lawn, Hackensack, Oradell, Ridgewood and Westwood over several months
using real customers' names and account numbers and fake IDs with her photo.
Investigators say she was a frontwoman for a New York City-based crime ring
that specializes in bank theft. They were searching for her accomplices and
trying to determine how they got the customers' account numbers.
Oradell police Detective William Wicker said Marquart strolled into the
banks wearing a black business suit and high heels and asked to cash a check
or make a withdrawal. She spoke on a cell phone during the transaction to
discourage tellers from questioning her, Wicker said.
"She was very well dressed," Wicker said. "She didn't need a lot of makeup."
California-based adult movie producer Kevin Beech told The Record of Bergen
County that Marquart had an avid following in the 1990s,

Thanks for the pic link, I was thinking she was some other blonde. Never
seen her work, never been a barbie man myself. And if that's what you call
