COVINGTON, Ky. -- A Villa Hills wife and mother must report Oct. 5 to begin
serving a 60-day jail sentence for her sex-crime conviction.
Jeni Dinkel, 51, also was placed on five years’ probation Tuesday and
ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, perform 200 hours of community service and
register as a sex offender.
Dinkel reached a plea agreement in May on one count of third-degree rape,
but a judge rejected the agreement because he said the case was too abnormal
to warrant a deal.
Judge Gregory Bartlett expressed concern that Dinkel continued to allege her
15-year-old victim had been the instigator and complained that Dinkel’s
sex-offender assessment had been done without his input.
The boy was a friend of Dinkel’s high-school son, and police discovered
their ongoing relationship as officers investigated a party she hosted where
alcohol was served to minors.
The victim's mother told the court that Dinkel relentlessly pursued her
teenaged son.
"She threatened to come to the school and get him if he wouldn't take her
calls or text messages," the woman said. "Over the course of three months
she raped him five times (and) Jeni Dinkel told my son she might be pregnant
with his child."
Dinkel's husband, former Cincinnati Bengal Tom Dinkel, said his wife was
needed at home, where her son is battling cancer.
"I hear this time and time again that she has not expressed remorse, (but) I
can guarantee you, sir, every night, every day this conversation goes on
about how sorry she is for causing both pain for our families and the
victim's family," Tom Dinkel said.
Dinkel faced up to five years in jail on her conviction.

Police report provides details

VILLA HILLS - Two years after police began investigating Jeni Lee
Dinkel for sexually exploiting boys at her Villa Hills home, a friend
of her son told authorities Dinkel had repeatedly raped him.
The boy was 15. Dinkel was 51. Although the felony rape charge that
Dinkel pled guilty to did not allege any force, it is a crime because
of the boy's age.
When the boy told a counselor at the Children's Advocacy Center last
March, Villa Hills Police say they were finally able to bring charges
in a case that had frustrated them for some time.
In the police department's 11-page, final investigative report -
obtained by The Enquirer through the Open Records Act - the victim and
his friends portrayed the mother of two as a sexual predator.
Dinkel's victim told police he had seven sexual contacts with his
friend's mother between Aug. 19 and Nov. 25 of last year.
He described Dinkel's bedroom, where many of the encounters took
place, recited her personal cell phone number with its Los Angeles
area code to police, and he gave a physical description of Jeni Lee
Dinkel that "included her body and breast implants that (he) advised
feeling."
For nearly four months, the boy told police Dinkel wouldn't leave him
alone. She repeatedly sent him sexually explicit text messages,
including, "I want your (expletive) so bad." It was followed by
another message that said, "Hey, you've got to keep this quiet. You
need to delete these."
She made phone calls to the boy, often when he was with friends, the
report said. He told police he even put one of Dinkel's calls on the
speakerphone without her knowledge.
The victim's friends told authorities how Dinkel, who worked on
Hollywood films such as "Wild Things" and "Bad Boys," showed them nude
layouts in Playboy of people she'd done makeup for.
They related how she flashed her breasts to juveniles in an upstairs
foyer of her home during a party after Covington Catholic High
School's homecoming.
The teens also told police that Dinkel did shots and smoked marijuana
in her home with under-aged visitors and engaged in "dirty dancing" at
Covington Catholic's 2006 Mom Prom.
The victim told police that the first sexual encounter happened after
Dinkel had served him beer and "a blue Gatorade bottle with vodka or
rum in it" during a gathering at the Dinkel home.
The teen told police he went into the kitchen to get something to
drink, and Dinkel complimented him on his physical appearance. Then
she began kissing him on the mouth and touching his chest, the victim
told police.
After they moved into a side room, Dinkel removed his pants and
performed a sexual act on him, the teen told police. She also advised
him how a woman liked to be touched, he said.
>From there, the two moved to Dinkel's bedroom, where the victim told
police he and Dinkel engaged in sex "approximately four times over a
period of several hours."
Because the teen wasn't old enough to drive, Dinkel sometimes arranged
to pick him up at friends' homes, the boy told police, and she would
drop him off at a convenience store near his home.
One sexual encounter occurred when Dinkel's son was spending the night
at his dad's house, and she repeatedly text messaged the victim about
getting together, the report said. Dinkel picked the teen up hear a
friend's house and drove him to her home. Afterwards, Dinkel dropped
him off "up the street from his house," the report said.
Another time, the victim and several of his friends were spending the
night at Dinkel's home after a party, he told police. All of the boys
gathered in the basement to sleep after Dinkel had given them alcohol.
That night, the teen told police Dinkel text messaged him "not to fall
asleep and to come to her bedroom when everyone was asleep." The
victim went upstairs, where the two had sex, then he went back
downstairs to sleep in the spare bedroom, the report said.
In one of the final sexual encounters, the victim said Dinkel and an
intoxicated woman picked him and two of his friends up after Dinkel's
son invited them to spend the night. The teen told police "there was a
red cooler of beer on the rear porch and alcohol bottles on the
kitchen counter." At the house, the two women drank with the boys, the
report said.
That night, the victim said he got cold on the deck and went to
Dinkel's son's room to put on some sweat pants. He said Jeni Dinkel
entered the room, pulled his underwear down, and proceeded to perform
a sexual act on him. The door to the bedroom was open, and another
male juvenile walked in on them, he told police.
Later that night, the teen told police he was in the bathroom when
Dinkel walked in on him, locked the door and performed a sexual act on
him. The two then had sex. When the victim left, another male juvenile
told him that he had seen Jeni Dinkel entering the bathroom and that
he had "listened to the activity going on in the bathroom."
Through it all, Dinkel "kept telling him that this had to be a
secret," the teen told authorities. "She advised him that she could
get in trouble (and) she did not want her son to know," the report
said.
By Thanksgiving weekend, the victim told police he did not want the
relationship to continue. The boy said he was upset because he knew
"this was wrong" and he was weary of lying to his parents and friends.
The boy, who played sports with Dinkel's son, also worried that "this
relationship would hurt their friendship."
The victim decided that after the last contact that he no longer
wanted to keep seeing Jeni Dinkel," the report said. "The victim
stopped answering her text messages and would not take her phone
calls. The victim advised that after a week or so that Jeni Dinkel
stopped calling him."

Dinkel gets 60 days for rape
Husband pleads for leniency so she could care for ill son
BY JIM HANNAH | JHA...@NKY.COM

COVINGTON - Jeni Lee Dinkel victimized more than just the 15-year-old
she raped.
She victimized her own teenage son, who will have to continue his
fight with cancer without his mother at his side, according to the
judge who sentenced her Tuesday.
Despite pleas for leniency from her husband, retired Bengal Tom
Dinkel, Kenton Circuit Judge Gregory Bartlett ordered the 51-year-old
mother of two to serve 60 days of a five-year sentence.
She will report to the Kenton County jail Oct. 5.
"She placed herself in a position of not being there for her son when
he needs her the most," Bartlett said. "It's a problem of her own
making."
Additional terms also were imposed on Dinkel.
She must undergo psychological counseling and substance abuse
treatment, pay a $2,500 fine, serve 200 hours of community service for
a nonprofit organization for underprivileged women and register as a
sex offender for 20 years.
The Hollywood makeup artist, with movie credits such as "Wild Things"
and "Bad Boys," also is not allowed to sell her story or profit from
the case.
Dinkel pleaded guilty in May to one count of third-degree rape, but
Bartlett refused to follow Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders'
sentence recommendation that called for no jail time. Sanders didn't
attend Tuesday's sentencing.
Bartlett said he had to uphold public confidence in the judicial
system when weighing what sentence to hand down: "Equal justice of the
law is more than a slogan. It has to be a reality, and as far as I'm
concerned, it is reality."
The victim, now 16, did not attend the hearing but was represented by
Joshua Crabtree, a lawyer with the Children's Law Center.
"He felt during the course of the proceedings ... there was some
assertion that he had pursued Mrs. Dinkel," Crabtree said. "He wanted
to make it clear that was not ever true. In addition to that, even
when he knew the relationship was inappropriate, it was Mrs. Dinkel
who continued to contact him via text messaging him and calling his
cell phone while at school ... trying to set up opportunities for them
to be together."
Dinkel would pick him up at school and have him lie down in the back
seat so people would not see him as she drove to her Villa Hills home,
Crabtree said. She would drop him off at a corner convenience store to
try to conceal where he had been.
As Crabtree spoke, the victim's mother fought back tears while
clutching her husband's hands.
Then the victim's mother spoke before a packed courtroom.
She said the crime might have seemed less serious because the facts of
the case had been "watered down." Then she described the seduction of
her son in detail.
The mother called the Dinkel home a "sexual smorgasbord for a very
hungry, sick woman" who plied her son with alcohol before raping him.
She said Dinkel manipulated her son by text-messaging him as many as
20 times an hour and telling him she might be pregnant with his child.
"These are not chance sexual encounters," the mother said. "These are
the calculated manipulative actions of an adult emotionally abusing
and physically raping a child."
Dinkel's husband pleaded for leniency for his wife at the sentencing.
He described their 16-year-old son Alex's radiation and chemotherapy
before reading a letter from the child, who he said could not attend
because of his illness.
"I can't tell you how much I need my mom during this hard time I'm
facing," Alex wrote. "I know my mom's behavior was wrong, and she is
so sorry and sad for all of us and the victim. ...
"I need her more now than anything else in the world. I do not think I
can beat this cancer without her. She is a great mom." Alex's
radiation ends in September; chemo continues through December.
Rene Heinrich, who represented the victim's family, said after the
hearing that everyone was glad the case was finally adjudicated.
"I think overall, while there are no winners in any of this, at least
this phase is done and my client can start school knowing that this
isn't hanging over his head anymore."

But not to the victim? Some apology!! I hate fake apologies like that.
A friends steals your 46 inch big screen tv and says "I am sorry for any
pain I caused you". THAT IS NOT A APOLOGY. A apology is "Sorry, I
fucked up, that was so selfish of me to steal your tv."
Sure... if you'd like to fuck Skeletor.
