Hello,

I've decided to take a few seconds of time to mark the death of a mass
murderer. This mass murderer committed all of his killings LEGALLY. His society
sanctioned and encouraged and REWARDED Carlos Hathcock for slaughtering at
least 93 Vietnamese citizen-slaves, as a marine soldier during the Vietnam war.
Carlos won FAME and societal admiration for his gun massacring skills. He
proudly took credit for the 93 murders, and his accomplishment was trumpeted in
many different circles, among marine corps enlistees and alumni, he is
considered a hero. He has also achieved tremendous fame in the military press,
having numerous articles written about him in survivalist/military/gun
magazines such as Soldier Of Fortune, where it is ALWAYS mentioned that Carlos
successfully performed the very impressive feat of slaughtering at leasy 93
"enemy" humans, with his own trusty gun.

Carlos died on Monday, at the relatively young age of 56. I do NOT admire or
respect people who commit mass murder as brainwashed representatives of their
society, but I do recognize that Carlos was a victimized creation of his
society. I like to THINK that he at least achieved and felt emotional PLEASURE
over having killed so many people with his own hand, and being so richly
REWARDED by his society for doing so. Basically, my hope is that in committing
all of these killings, despite acting on BEHALF of his society, Carlos also
achieved genuinely PERSONAL, cathartic pleasure, from his killings.

Take care, JOE

Obituaries in the News

Carlos Hathcock II

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) -- Retired Gunnery Sgt. Carlos Hathcock II, who killed
93 enemy soldiers as a Marine sniper in Vietnam and was awarded a Silver Star
for saving seven Americans after a mine explosion, died Monday of multiple
sclerosis. He was 56.

On Sept. 16, 1969, Hathcock was riding an amphibious assault vehicle when it
ran over a Vietnamese mine and exploded. Hathcock was sprayed with flaming
gasoline and severely injured.

Although writhing in pain from burns to his face, arms, legs and body and at
great risk from exploding ammunition, Hathcock went back into the flames and
dragged seven Marines from the vehicle. He was awarded the Silver Star, the
military's third-highest decoration, in November 1996.

The burns ended Hathcock's combat career, but he remained in the service until
retiring in 1979.

Marine hero in Vietnam dies

VIRGINIA BEACH (AP) - Retired Gunnery Sgt. Carlos Hathcock II, who killed 93
enemy soldiers as a Marine sniper in Vietnam and was awarded a Silver Star for
saving seven Americans after a mine explosion, has died. He was 56.

Hathcock died Monday after battling multiple sclerosis since 1975. A funeral
will be held Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

On Sept. 16, 1969, Hathcock was riding an amphibious assault vehicle when it
ran over a Vietnamese mine and exploded. Hathcock was sprayed with flaming
gasoline.

Although writhing in pain from burns to his face, arms, legs and body and at
great risk from exploding ammunition, Hathcock went back into the flames and
dragged seven Marines from the vehicle.

He was awarded the Silver Star, the military's third-highest decoration, during
a November 1996 ceremony at Quantico Marine Base in Northern Virginia. He
received the citation after a letter-writing campaign by friends.

The burns ended Hathcock's combat career, but he remained in the service until
retiring in 1979.

The Viet Cong called Hathcock ``Long Tra'ng,'' or ``White Feather,'' because he
often wore a white feather in his hat.

The Carlos Hathcock Award is presented annually to the best marksman in the
Marine Corps, a Corps library in Washington bears his name and he won the 1965
Wimbledon Cup, long-distance shooting's most prestigious prize. The walls in
his home are covered with accolades.

Aw. Admit it Mr. Orbit, you DO admire and respect ANYBODY who kills 93
people. Whether it is societally sanctioned or not.

Hello,

I do not repeat myself, and I do not "admit" to invalid opinions that
Inferiors may hold of me. The original post and commentary, as made by me,
stands.

Take care, JOE

BUT, Mr. Joe 1, wouldn't he deserve your admiration and respect if he
had killed just 7 more people to make it an even 100? You know, maybe
7 more people died a couple months later from their wounds.

Also, for your information, I am not an invalid. I am perfectly
healthy. But thanks for at least capitalizing Inferior as this would
seem to indicate that you feel that I am superior to a mere inferior.

Hello,

The issues at hand with regard to any killer earning my serious respect anmd
admiration, are: 1: Are the killings an accurate reflection of the person's own
unique, core, True Reality experience of his own life. And 2: Is the victimized
human creation turned killer DIRECTING his homicidal rage and hate upon
rational and appropriate targets. Carlos falls SHORT on both these counts,
IMNSVHO.

That would not alter my already expressed opinion and attitude towards Carlos
and towards his killings, in any way.

My comments to you stand as given. I have neither the time nor the
inclination to elaborate further.
