Sam Manzie - remember him?

I know a girl who is dating the ex-boyfriend of Sam Manzie's sister -
the 15 year old convicted killer of Eddie Werner (11). Regardless -
apparantly the ex-girlfriend (Manzie's sister) has been stalking my
friend. I guess these psycho tendencies tend to run in the family. I
have heard lots about this - inside stuff about the family that was
never revealed to the papers...anyone remember this case?

Thx for the links, Threnody. Interesting, both of them. I remember the case
now. It was hard to understand how it all happened. I still don't
understand, except that young Sam lost it big time, and the child selling
candy died for no reason anybody could understand.

And now, wonder what the deal is with Manzie's sister, if Lilac is
believed.

Well, you said it was awful for the town or something along those lines.
Did everyone know both families? Did you? Did the parents talk to you or
anyone you knew afterwards? Were there any stories about Sam Manzie that
were common knowledge among you all, but the papers didn't print?

His sister was afraid of him/Sam and went to a friends house the weekend that Sam committed murder! The previous Wednesday a judge told Sam you just need to remember the difference between right and wrong and you will be fine. His parents wanted him committed but they wanted the state to pay for it so when his parents brought him home on a Wednesday and left on a trip on Friday and his sister/older than Sam, went to a friends house, Sam murdered Eddie ....on Saturday. September 27, 1997. He would have turned 12 on December 25.

Justice Files has some of an interview and Barbara Walters. You can find it on line. Sad, tthe pedophile that molested Sam had already been charged for a previous molestation. He was back out in society 2001. I have not looked him up since.
Sad for the child Sam murdered, sad for Sam, a victim as well.
Pedophiles should be given life sentences, they are notoriously difficult/impossible to treat.

Do you mind if I ask you where you got your information that Sam's sister was at a friend's house? Only asking because I've done a ton of research on this story and have never come across that piece of information(Though it would make sense).
