Keenan was the office specialist in sex crimes and the first DA
to respond to the crime scene. It's never been explained why
Alex Hunter pulled her off the case in the first place.

Shocking New Evidence: JonBenet Molested Long Before Murder!
Experts urge new DA to investigate
A Panel of crime experts is pressing for a new probe of the
JonBenet Ramsy murder - and this time the case should be
looked at as an unspeakable sex crime, reveal sources.
New Boulder, Colo., District Attorney Mary T. Keenan was
sent a letter by noted forensic pathologist Dr. Robert H.
Goldberg on January 10th. He writes that he and a number of
medical professionals are troubled over the way JonBenet's
murder was handled and want the death investigated as a case
of child molestation.
"There's plenty of medical evidence that spells out previous
sexual molestation of JonBenet, and a top-flight forensic
team is ready to confirm that, should the new DA want to
hear it," says a source who has seen the letter.
Since the 6 year old blue eyed beauty queen was found
battered and strangled in the basement of her family's
Boulder home on Dec. 26, 1996, her parents John and Patsy
have been "under the umbrella of suspicion."
But despite years of investigation by local cops, then-
Boulder District Attorney Alex Hunter and a grand jury, no
charges have been filed.
The Ramseys, who now live in Atlanta, GA, with JonBenet's
teenage brother Burke, claim she was killed by an intruder.
Police and Hunter investigated whether Patsy Ramsey
accidently killed JonBenet in a rage triggered by the
child's bed-wetting, insiders say.
But Goldberg, as well as a number of medical professionals
who were consulted about the case, believe the winner of the
Little Miss Colorado pageant was a longtime victim of sex
abuse, and that twisted situation is linked to her death,
say sources.
After Goldberg reviewed JonBenet's autopsy report, he told
GLOBE: "There were new vaginal injuries over old ones. The
tissue was stretched and eroded, not just torn. This happens
over time. JonBenet's hymenal opening was roughly twice that
of an unmolested child."
Dr. Cyril Wecht, coroner of Alleghney County, Pa., concludes
that JonBenet, who was found with a white cord wrapped
around her neck and another around a wrist, died from a "sex
game gone awry."
"The wrist rope was to gently control her and the neck rope
was not intended to kill her, but to bring her in and out of
consciousness for the sick sexual gratification of the
perpetrator," he explains.
Wecht believes the molester killed JonBenet in a panic after
she lost consciousness, noting: "It has to have been someone
with easy access to the victim."
Another pediatric expert, who reviewed the autopsy report,
told GLOBE: "There's no doubt this child was sexually
molested - probably with a finger. JonBenet was not a virgin
when she died."
But attorney Lin Wood, who represented the Ramseys, tells
Globe that there is no credible medical expert testimony to
indicate prior sexual abuse of JonBenet.
"This issue has been investigated thoroughly over the past
few years, with no charges against my clients.
"I am confident that the new DA will reach the same
conclusion."
Still, sources say District Attorney Keenan, who has
specialized in prosecuting sex crimes, is now eager to look
into the JonBenet case.
"Mary has always wanted this case, but had to watch from
afar while Alex Hunter did things his way," confides a
source. "She was at the crime scene the afternooon of the
murder, after the Ramseys had left, and while JonBenet's
body awaited the coroner.
"She got a firsthand view, which Hunter didn't get."
