Sheri De Borchgrave is an American citizen who lives in New York. She
writes for Cosmopolitan Magazine, and calls herself 'The Bedroom
Baroness' She has awarded herself this title because of her (claimed)
sexual expertise, learnt while she was briefly married to... a Belgian
Baron. And she exploits her self proclaimed expertise to the limit! If
anyone wants to know about 'your guy's moan zones' or 'what the men of
Fiji do their penises, just to satisfy their wives' then they can look
up Sheri on the Cosmopolitan Magazine website, and get all the advice
they need...
Now where does she appear in the Dutroux scandal? She is mentioned by
the authors of 'Les Dossiers X' in the context of Police Statement
150.265 11/02/1997 POURBAIX, in which an alleged victim claims that
her abuser made a phone call to someone named BORCHGRAVE. According to
the authors of 'Les Dossiers X' , this is interesting (although
apparently overlooked by the Belgian investigators) because Sheri De
Borchgrave wrote a book about her life with Baron de Borchgrave, and
she claims that she didn't have a very nice time. In fact she
effectively says that her dreamboat Belgian Baron is an out of out
psycho, as are most of his Belgian aristocratic friends! And she wrote
a book about it, published in August 1993 and entitled 'A Dangerous
Liaison: One Woman's Journey into a World of Aristocracy, Depravity
and Obsessive Love'.
Now she does not talk about child abuse, but claims that she was
forced to participate in orgies among members of the Belgian
aristocracy, and once even turned up to catch hubby Jacques shagging
his own sister. Interesting stuff! Since the dear ex-husband's
premature death in 1989. she has been locked in a legal dispute with
the de Borchgrave family, who claim that everything she said was a
pack of lies. The family has managed to prevent publication of Sheri's
book in Belgium, after coming to an arrangement with the publisher
there, but it is freely available in the U.S. and is an entertaining
read. But is all or any of it true? If it was true, then this would
suggest, to me at least, that Regina Louf (and the X's) accounts of
depravity among the Belgian aristocracy were credible. The book
covered alleged events in the early 1980's, and Jacques died in 1989
(suicide, according to Sheri, and an accident according to the de
Borchgrave family).
Now, when writing a book of this kind, there is a choice of two routes
to follow in order to avoid being sued. Either you leave out all the
juicy bits, or you use fictitious names and places (while warning the
readers of this). Sheri took the latter option. But the publisher of
the book gave the readers very valuable clues: they included photos of
four of the castles described by Sheri. These photos were a really
gift to investigators; they acted as a sort of Rosetta stone. By
identifying the castles (which was not too difficult), and finding out
who the owners are, it was possble to match the fictitious character
of Sheri's book with their real life counterparts. And this is when
things get interesting...
It becomes clear that Sheri has exaggerated the wealth and possessions
of the people she named in her book, and she was taken to task for
this by the de Borchgrave family, and this unquestionably weakened her
legal case. But many of the essential facts were correct. For example,
she says that 'Aunt Helène' has enormous wealth and includes a
description of Helène's castle'. But Helène did not own the castle, as
Sheri claimed. Rather it had been inherited by another member of the
family, Helène's nephew. But the description of the castle, and the
nephew, Helène's family connections, and the extraordinary parties
held at the castle, at which the cream of Belgian society, including
royalty, is present, all this is verifiably correct.
On page 221, Aunt Helène gives a guided tour to Sheri of the castle.
She introduces him to the nephew, the 'Marquess of Patenos', who Sheri
describes as charming man who lived alone in this enormous fortress.
And this leads into a throwaway phrase, whose significance Sheri did
not realize, I am sure, but which makes my hair stand up on end...
"You would just love the parties he throws here, ma chérie, but it
will take years until your inhibitions are dissolved enough to attend
one of them. They are really most unforgettably naughty."
What sort of parties could she be talking about? Parties for which
Sheri would have to wait for years before her inhibitions are
sufficiently dissolved. Orgies? No. Because Aunt Hélène knew about
these. Incest? No. Sheri had told Aunt Hélène all about Jacques'
exploits with his sister. So what could these parties entail... ?
The descriptions, by Regina and the other X's, other parties in
Belgian castles were children are savagely abused, and in some cases
hunted like foxes, come back to haunt me at this point.
And who is the 'Marquis de Patenos'. Thanks to the photo in the book,
we can identify him. He is Olivier, Marquess of Trazegnies, and Sheri
was right, he did live alone in a huge fortress. Its real name is
Corroy-Le-Château, deep in the depths of the Belgian countryside (now
he lives there with his mother).
But has he ever been accused of anything? No, he hasn't, as far as I
am aware. But his uncle has! (a brother of his mother). I will not
name this brother (there are 13 siblings in all), but the account of
witness X3 is noteworthy.
extracts from Police Statement 151.829 02/06/1997 INTERVIEW OF X3
(ROYAL FAMILY SECTION)
.... The other childen had to drink his blood. She thinks she saw him
cut up in the death chamber. Little girls mutilated with razor
blades..... Child hunt prepared by CHARLY and POLO. In attendance:
<uncle of Marquess of Trazegnies>. In another location: big white
house with stables.... the naked children were released and, when they
were caught, they were raped. The hunt finished with torture of the
children in the theatre. The lips (ed: vagina) of a girl were cut off
in slices and given to the dogs. Rape of a girl aged 7-9 by a dog. A
sexual stimulant was placed on the child's vagina. Other children had
to lick the blood... A baby was eaten by the dogs. Baby ripped from
the stomach and given to the dogs by POLO. She saw the mother being
dismembered in the death chamber...
A truly dreadful account. Can it be true? It seems impossible, does't
it? But the other X's, including Regina Louf, spoke about the same
sort of things, only at a much later date than X3.
And I cannot get the description of the Marquess's parties out of my
mind.
"it will take years until your inhibitions are dissolved enough to
attend one of them. They are really most unforgettably naughty."
Thanks for the post , I think.....
