KEY WEST -- Murder suspect Jeffrey Wallace is pleading
self-defense in a shooting spree that left a bar manager
dead and four others wounded.

During four hours of testimony yesterday, Wallace told of
a complicated conspiracy theory involving Boston mobsters,
a bank and former boss Michael Sumner, who managed the bar
where Wallace once worked as a bouncer.

Our hero testified that on orders from God and his dead
father, he went to the Key West bar to kill people plotting
to kill *him*. Prosecutors say that Wallace worked in
psychiatric hospitals for years and knows how to fake
mental illness.

DANIA -- An unIDed homeless man is credited today with
saving a 78-year-old Dania woman by interrupting a rape-
in-progress.

Cops say the intended victim was reading on her sofa when
the suspect barged in through an unlocked front door.
The homeless man, who frequently seeks shelter in the
woman's carport, noticed a strange car in the driveway
and went inside the house, where the startled rape suspect
ran outside and escaped in a sports car with the word "
Obsession" printed across the top of the windshield.

The victim suffered a few bruises but did not require
hospital treatment.

HUNTINGTON, WV -- Two unIDed high school students have
been charged with torturing a kitten on school grounds.

Students found the tan kitten last week --still alive --
after its head and face had been burned all the way to
the skull.

If convicted, the boys could spend six months in a
juvenile detention center.

MILLEDGEVILLE -- Jury selection begins today in the
death penalty trial of John Esposito, charged with the
kidnapping and murder of a 90-year-old woman.

Our Hero is accused of kidnapping Lola Davis from a
Madison shopping center, and then beating her to death.
An 18- year-old co-defendant, Alicia Woodward, is also
accused of participating in the crime.

ObBonus: The pair is also charged with killing an elderly
couple in Oklahoma

PHILADELPHIA -- Cops have arrested foster mother Lisa Price
and charged her with murdering her 6-year-old daughter.

Our Heroine is accused of killing Jacqueline Venay and
dumping her body into the Schuylkill River.

Cheers!

Did anybody else see this guy testify on the Court TV broadcast of the trial?
I don't think he was faking mental illness. He seemed genuinely crazy to me.
His mother's testimony about his past delusional behavior seemed truthful.

Yep, I saw Jeffrey Wallace on Court TV and I thought he seemed truly
crazy.

Fascinating and repellant at the same time.
