I know that there has been some speculation in the ng about Donald
Paugh..... Does he have an alibi? Was he in Atlanta the night of
JonBenet's killing? I bet the Boulder PD won't say; they'd give away
their last shroud of secrecy. It has been suggested that Patsy's parents
were divorced or separated; is this true as well?

}First, John Andrew is out of the equation. He was confirmed to be in

}Second, while John Ramsey is still considered the prime suspect by it

}Geraldo even mentioned it too), hinted around that John may soon be
}taken out of the equation, that the first two writing exemplars that
}he gave, cleared him from being the ransom note writer. While this
}obviously isn't certain since it hasn't come from the Boulder PD, its
}something to consider.
}What about Donald Paugh? He's been someone I've been seriously
}looking at as a possible prime suspect for several weeks. Why
}JonBenet's grandfather. Why not? He lives in Denver which isn't
}that long a ride from Boulder, he is known to have been in Denver and
}Boulder on Christmas Day, he has a key to the Ramsey house, his
}presence in the house at night wouldn't have scared JonBenet (maybe
}why she didn't scream and maybe why she may have willing gone to
}another part of the house with him), he works very closely with John
}Ramsey and therefore would probably have had easy access to John's
}bonus figures and certainly would have known John had served in the
}Navy at Subic Bay. It also would explain why Cindy Ramsey described
}John as a good husband and loving father (why not? if its Patsy's
}father then Cindy's daughters wouldn't have been molested). Then
}recall that it was Donald's wife who jumped to explain the bruise on
}JonBenet's arm (the hamster cage). It also explains why the Ramseys
}are staying with friends in Boulder rather than living with Patsy's
}father in Denver. It also supports John Douglas' conclusions that
}parents who murder their children are not usually the ones who find
}the body. There are a number of inconsistencies which can be as
}easily explained by inserting Donald Paugh into the equation instead
}of John Ramsey.
}I'm not going to create a scenario about how I think it exactly
}happened, I'll leave that to the fiction writers here or the DA in
}court if it comes down to that. But I think Mr. Paugh is as good (if
}not better) a suspect as anyone else. I just pray for Patsy's sake
}that it isn't her father. I can almost see a betrayal of this nature
}by a husband, but how would she live with a betrayal like this by her
}own father? My next question is one nobody else has brought up
}either, has anyone looked into whether Patsy or her sister Pamela
}were molested as young girls? The parallel early childhoods of Patsy
}and JonBenet would be almost to much.
}Again, these are not accusations, but I do think the speculations are
}reasonable given what we know are facts.

The first I heard about Donald Paugh was on Geraldo. I haven't seen
anything in the newspapers. How come? You make an interesting argument.

Thanks. Interestingly, my friend in the Roswell PD won't tell me
anything about Donald Paugh except - just watch for some news about
him (which of course only peaked my curiosity even more). From what
I remember about the very early coverage of this story in Atlanta's
papers though, Donald Paugh was in Denver the night of the murder (an
easy drive to Boulder in the middle of the night), and while Donald
and Nedra aren't divorced or legally separated (as far as I remember
- again from the paper), he lives he Denver to work at Access
Graphics. During the time of the funeral and when the Ramseys were
here in December-January for the week, they all stayed (Ramseys, Don,
Nedra) at the Paugh home on 865 Brooksglen Drive in Roswell.
What the Roswell detective did tell me I posted: John Andrew's alibi
is firm per Cindy, Melinda and neighbor Joan Crowley (who has sworn
the 4 of them all had dinner together Xmas), and, he said that the
reason the BPD wants a third writing exemplar from John Ramsey is
that the first two exonerate him and they want to make sure. While
this alone doesn't mean he didn't do it (I personally don't put much
faith in handwriting experts), it gives me more reason to look at
Donald Paugh. If I can get my neighbor to cough up anymore, I'll
certainly post it.

You won't get flamed by me...when I heard Heraldo mention him and then
pointedly annouce that he wasn't going to go into that at this time a
large red flag went up...I posted about it but nobody replied....what do
we know about this man...if nothing there may be a reason for that.
Well, Geraldo said that Grand-Paugh lived in Boulder.
As for your other question, the tabs this week say Patsy has changed her
mind and intends to stick by her man.
