From the Chicago Tribune--

Amy Jacobson testifies before grand jury
Ex-TV reporter summoned to answer questions about disappearance of
Lisa Stebic

Tribune staff report
12:11 PM CST, December 20, 2007

Former TV reporter Amy Jacobson testified before a Will County grand
jury this morning to answer questions in connection with missing
Plainfield mother Lisa Stebic.

"Amy was asked to come down here and assist in the investigation,"
said Jacobson's attorney, Robert Andalman. "She came down here and
answered all the questions that they asked."

He said Jacobson was subpoenaed. They declined to answer reporters'
questions about her testimony.

Lisa Stebic was 37 when she disappeared from her family's home on
April 30. Her husband, Craig, has been named a person of interest,
though he has repeatedly denied any involvement in her disappearance.
He and his wife were getting a divorce when she vanished. Numerous
searches have failed to turn up evidence as to her whereabouts.

In July, Jacobson was fired from WMAQ-Ch. 5 after a rival station
aired video of her in a bikini top with a towel around her waist, as
well as her children, at the Stebic home. Jacobson has said she was on
her way to the East Bank Club with her children when she got a call
from Craig Stebic's sister, who invited Jacobson to the house to talk.

She later said that her sudden departure came after her former bosses
accused her of "getting too close to the police" while reporting on
the case.
