Here are the latest updates on 28 year old Robert Wayne Harris, the
just-fired car wash worker in TX who stalked back into the car wash just hours
after being released from jail, where he was taken after EXPOSING himself to
car wash workers, and OPENED FIRE with a handgun, shooting SIX fellow workers,
KILLING five and critically wounding the sixth. He fled the scene, and police
then revealed that they considered Robert to be the PRIME suspect in ANOTHER
disappearance/murder case, that of a gal who VANISHED in late November and was
KNOWN to have had contact with Robert, just before she disappeared.
Cops did track Robert down, and he surrendered peacefully. Immediately after
his arrest, he CONFESSED to the Nov. murder as well as the car wash massacre,
even LEADING police directly to the body of the gal he killed in November. Very
FOOLISH tactical decisions on Robert's part, since he is now GREATLY limited in
his defense strategy and might have to either use an insanity defense, or plea
bargain Guilty and AGREE to a LIFE prison sentence, if your EVIL judicial
leaders threaten to get him legally murdered at trial, which they almost
certainly WILL do.
We learn below that Robert was formally charged with five counts of murder,
for the car wash massacre, and a sixth murder count, for the Nov.gal
kidnap-murder, will almost certainly be added in the future. A killer of SIX at
the tender age of 28, this a pretty RARE feat. Still no indication that police
even THINK that Robert might be a more PROLIFIC, serial killer. He sure did a
decent job of both harvesting 37 year old Sandra, and avoiding arrest, although
he WAS a suspect from the very beginning. She was SHOT as well, right through
the NECK. Looks like Robert liked to kill by gun, even when he had a solo
victim, rather than to employ the more hands-on, messy methods of knife or
strangulation attack.
You can view a close-up, but slightly blurry facial photo of Robert, over at:
http://www.msnbc.com/local/KXAS/48792.asp
We get new QUOTES from Robert, in which he continues to express SORROW and
REGRET over his actions. He says he just "snapped", in committing the car wash
massacre, but that doesn't explain the apparently well-PLANNED Nov. harvesting
of Sandra. Well, Robert is adopting the right verbal attitude, at least, in
prostituting and humbling himself to his evil, sadistic, insanely
self-righteous society. I guess SOME people dop "lose control" of themselves
and genuinely regret their actions, afterwards. I CANNOT relate to that
situation myself, since I am UNTOUCHABLE, in terms of having CONTROL of my life
choices. I know that I will never regret any of the life choices I CHOOSE to
make, because if I were GOING to regret them, I would not undertake them in the
first place, using my Superior mental skills to DECIDE this issue in ADVANCE of
undertaking any act.
The bottom line is, whether or not Robert is CONSCIOUSLY aware of it or not,
his homidical rage stems from the LIFETIME of ABUSE, traumatization, and
brutalization, beginning in childhood, that he has endured. And these two
SEPARATE "explosions" of homicidal rage, were simply the RESULT of his lifetime
torment, finally rising up to the surface of his emotional True Reality.
Look, if this 28 year old tortured victim can SAVE and preserve his own life,
by expressing aplogy for his actions, I am CERTAINLY not going to criticize or
try to judge whether his apologies are "appropriate". Sometimes, in specific
situations and for tactical reasons, it's just BEST to prostitute yourself to
society.
Another interesting detail is that the car wash SAFE was found both OPEN and
EMPTY, suggesting that Robert did have some intent to ROB the place. Did he
plan the robbery from the very beginning, as soon as he decided to go to this
ex-job location, OR did he only commit the robbery as an AFTERTHOUGHT, after
carrying out the massacre?? That's an interesting question, at least to me.
A better photo, although not close-up, taken YESTERDAY and showing a
handcuffed Robert being led into a court building, is at:

Stay Strong, Robert!
Take care, JOE

Ex Worker Charged in Car Wash Slay
IRVING, Texas (AP) - A fired car-wash employee accused of gunning down six
co-workers was charged Friday with five counts of capital murder and one count
of attempted murder.
Robert Wayne Harris, 28, was being held on $6 million bond.
Harris was fired from the Mi-T-Fine Car Wash on March 17 after he was arrested
for allegedly exposing himself to two women there. Authorities said he returned
to the car wash three days later and opened fire on his former co-workers.
Harris was arrested Tuesday at a home in Dallas, about seven mile southeast of
Irving.
Harris could face another murder charge in the death of Sandra Gaye Scott,
police spokesman Lt. David Tull said.
The 37-year-old Irving woman disappeared in November, and her body was found
Tuesday with a gunshot wound to the neck in an Irving ditch. Harris, whose
telephone number was on Scott's pager, had been a suspect in her disappearance
for months, but police haven't found enough evidence to file charges, Tull
said.

Car Suspect May Face More Charges
By SUSAN PARROTT
DALLAS (AP) - Police said the suspect in a car wash massacre could face an
additional charge of capital murder now that authorities have confirmed a body
found in a ditch is that of a woman who disappeared in November.
Police were led to the body after interviewing Robert Wayne Harris, who is
being held for the Monday shooting deaths of five car wash employees in Irving.
Another worker remains in critical condition.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner on Thursday used dental records to identify
the body as that of Sandra Gaye Scott, an Irving woman missing since Nov. 29.
Scott, 37, died of a gunshot wound to the neck, said Charles Gaylon, a field
agent for the medical examiner.
Irving police spokesman David Tull said investigators have prepared five
capital murder charges and one attempted capital murder charge in the car wash
killings. He said Harris had been a suspect in Scott's disappearance and could
be charged in her death.
Funerals were held Thursday for two of the car wash victims. Services were held
in Irving for Dennis Lee, the 43-year-old manager of Mi-T-Fine Car Wash; and in
Lipan for Rhoda Wheeler, the 45-year-old cashier.
Harris was fired from the car wash just days before the shootings. He told
KXAS-TV that he ``snapped'' when he went to the business on Monday.
``I'm deeply sorry for what I did and for all the pain that I caused everybody
involved,'' he told the station Wednesday during a telephone interview from
jail.

Man accused of killing five at carwash confesses to NBC 5
By Rhonda Hughes
IRVING - NBC 5 received a stunning phone confession from the man accused of
killing five people at an Irving carwash. The suspect in the massacre at a
suburban Irving car wash that left five people dead, told NBC 5 he’s “real,
real sorry” for the bloodshed.
Robert Wayne Harris, told KXAS-TV Wednesday that he routinely carried
a gun but did not plan to use it Monday morning when he went to the Mi-T-Fine
Car Wash in Irving.
During a telephone interview from jail to the home of his brother, Harris
spoke with NBC 5 Reporter Rhonda Hughes. Harris said something “snapped” and he
started shooting.
Police found a body Wednesday morning, possibly that of a woman reported
missing last November, after questioning the man suspected of killing five car
wash employees earlier this week.
Police received information from Harris “that lead us to the discovery of
this body,” said David Tull, a spokesman for the Irving Police Department.
The body was found in a grass-covered ditch near Lone Star Park in
Southwest Irving, Tull said.
When asked by KXAS if he had confessed to that slaying to police, Harris
said, “Yes.”
Sandra Gaye Scott was reported missing November 29th and her pickup truck
was found December 3rd. Harris was linked to her disappearance because his
phone number was the last number on her pager, police said.
Scott’s relatives have said they had suspected Harris in the 37-year-old
woman’s disappearance but police told them they did not have enough evidence to
charge him.
‘Police have not made a positive identification on the body because of the
advanced state of decomposition.’
—David Tull Irving Police Department
In a January search warrant of Harris’ apartment, police stated Harris was
found to be “deceptive” in three polygraph tests where he was questioned about
Scott’s whereabouts.
Police have not made a positive identification on the body because of the
advanced state of decomposition, Tull said. But Charles Gaylor, a field agent
for the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office, said “We think it’s her.”
A forensic dentist is using dental records to determine if the body is
Scott’s.
Gaylor also said that the five slain car wash employees each died from a
gunshot to the head. One victim, 48-year-old manager Dennis Lee, also suffered
an “incised wound of the neck,” he said.
Killed were Lee; Rhoda Wheeler, 45; Augustin Villasenor, 36; Villasenor’s
brother, Benjamin, 32; and Roberto Jimenez Jr., 15. Octavio Ramos, 36, remained
in critical condition today at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were set today for Lee and Wheeler, and on Saturday for
the Villasenor brothers.
Police have said robbery is a motive in the slayings. Investigators
found the office safe open and empty, according to an affidavit.
The assailant was still standing over three bloody bodies when a witness
entered the business, court documents show.
He had been fired from the car wash Friday after being arrested for
exposing himself to two women at the business. He had been freed Sunday on $500
bail.

Murder charges filed in carwash shootings
Suspect tells families of victims he is sorry
03/25/2000
By Dave Michaels / The Dallas Morning News
IRVING - Police filed five capital murder charges Friday against Robert Wayne
Harris, five days after six people were shot at the MacArthur Boulevard
Mi-T-Fine carwash.
Police on Friday filed five capital murder charges and one attempted capital
murder charge against Mr. Harris
Mr. Harris reportedly has confessed to killing five former co-workers and an
Irving woman from an unrelated incident, along with leaving another co-worker
fighting for life at a hospital.
He responded to only one question Friday as sheriff's deputies escorted him to
the Lew Sterrett Justice Center. Dressed in socks and a white paper jail
uniform, the 28-year-old Irving man said to the victims' families, "I am
sorry."
At least one relative of one of his alleged victims responded to Mr. Harris'
apology. Michael Wright, 13, the son of Sandi Scott, told reporters that he
believed Mr. Harris was "a sorry person."
"If he can go take six innocent lives for no reason, then he is a very sorry
person," said Michael, whose mother's body was found Wednesday at Mr. Harris'
direction.
William Harris has said his brother has confessed to shooting Dennis Lee, 48;
Rhoda Wheeler, 46; Agustin Villaseñor, 36; Benjamin Villaseñor, 32; and Roberto
Jimenez Jr., 15, at the carwash Monday. He had been fired from his job there
after he was accused of exposing himself to customers.
Mr. Harris also faces an attempted capital murder charge from the carwash
shootings. Police have not yet filed charges against him in Ms. Scott's death.
Investigators said they charged Mr. Harris with capital murder because the
carwash slayings were motivated by robbery. An affidavit states that officers
found a safe open and emptied when they arrived Monday morning.
Police also charged Mr. Harris, 28, with attempted capital murder in the
shooting of Octavio Ramos of Irving. Mr. Ramos, 36, remained in critical
condition Friday at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
The district attorney's office has received paperwork on the charges but has
not yet scheduled a grand jury hearing for Mr. Harris, Assistant District
Attorney Wendy Risinger said Friday.
A magistrate ordered Mr. Harris held on $6 million bail, $1 million for each
count filed so far. He requested a court-appointed attorney.
Sheriff's Department officials said they put Mr. Harris in protective custody
in his own cell. At the advice of psychiatric staff, they also will place him
on cautionary suicide watch, said Deputy Don Peritz, a Sheriff's Department
spokesman.
Investigators say they plan to charge Mr. Harris with Ms. Scott's slaying. She
was reported missing about four months ago and died from a gunshot to the neck.
Mr. Harris probably will be charged with murder in that case, police said.
A Mi-T-Fine family support fund has been set up to aid those close to the
victims. People interested in donating are asked to contact the Bank of the
West at 972-790-7955 . Checks can also be mailed to Bank of the West, 1505 N.
Story Road, Irving, TX 75061.
Bank officials said the fund probably will accept donations through next week.

Police confirm body is that of missing Irving woman
03/23/2000
By Dave Michaels / The Dallas Morning News
Police confirmed Thursday that a body found this week is that of Sandra Gaye
Scott, who authorities said was last seen by a man who has confessed to this
week's deadly carwash killings in Irving.
``The body was in such shape that we couldn't immediately recognize the
identity or gender,'' said Officer David Tull, an Irving police spokesman.
Friends and relatives of Ms. Scott had all but made up their minds Wednesday
when they learned that Robert Wayne Harris had led police to the body in the
Trinity River lowlands off of Hunter Ferrell Road in south Irving. They visited
the site and commemorated it as Ms. Scott's resting place.
``I don't know if you would call it a comfort zone, but I felt like while I was
there, I was with her,'' said Barbara Bonome, Ms. Scott's best friend.
Mr. Harris confessed to the slayings of five people Monday at the MacAurther
Boulevard Mi-T-Fine Car Wash, where he was recently fired after being arrested
on indecent exposure charges.
He remained in custody Thursday at the Irving City Jail, where a judge has
ordered him held without bail.
Police have said that Mr. Harris' motive for the slayings was robbery, and
court documents show that the carwash safe was open and empty when police
arrived Monday. About 7:40 a.m., a fellow employee walked in on Mr. Harris, who
was standing over three of the bodies, court documents state.
Officer Tull declined Thursday to say whether, Mr. Harris, 28, is a suspect in
any other unsolved homicides. He said detectives would certainly respond to any
reports of other crimes in which Mr. Harris might be a suspect, ``but we are
going to take care of what we have here first.''

Kindness may have led to woman's death
Happy person helped wrong man, friends say
03/23/2000
By Connie Piloto / The Dallas Morning News
IRVING – Sandra Gaye Scott deserved more than to become the sad coda to a
violent week, family and friends say.
Resigned to learning that a body discovered Wednesday in a wooded field was
that of Ms. Scott, loved ones remembered her as a happy mother who was looking
to strike out on her own.
She had just been hired as a driver and hoped to move into her own apartment,
they said. The Irving woman wanted a home where she could spend time with her
13-year-old son, Michael Wright, on weekends and visit with her daughter,
Tiffanee Williams, 17.
``She had a wonderful personality,'' said her best friend, Barbara Bonome.
``She was kind-hearted, loved to laugh and goof around.''
Friends and family members said a brief encounter with Robert Wayne Harris
hijacked her hopes.
She was heading home Nov. 29 after helping friends move furniture when Mr.
Harris asked her for a ride to the store, friends say. Ms. Scott was last seen
alive about 9:45 p.m. at a convenience store on Rock Island Road at MacArthur
Boulevard in Irving.
Her 1981 pickup was found Dec. 3, not far from the store.
``She was told not to help him, but that was the kind of person she was,'' said
Charles Estes, Ms. Scott's father. ``Her kindness probably ended her life.''
Relatives reported her missing Dec. 1, saying it was out of character for her
not to call.
Ms. Scott grew up in Irving and attended Nimitz High School. Mr. Estes owned a
grocery store in Farmers Branch, where Ms. Scott met her first husband.
She once worked as a driver for a Las Colinas flower shop, switched jobs and
was injured in 1998 and only recently returned to work before her
disappearance, Ms. Bonome said.
Ms. Scott's son said Monday that he lost more than a mother.
``It was not a mother-son relationship,'' Michael said. ``It was more like
friends.''
