time ago in the US I believe. I saw the photos, which were posted to the
internet, about 5-6 years ago, but didnt keep copies. The story was that a
woman and her lover murdered her husband and took photos of themselves
mutilating the corpse. There were about 10 photos that I saw, all of good
quality with detail and under good lighting. They showed the corpse and
various severed body parts (head, penis, hands) in various positions, one
that stuck in my mind was his severed head sitting on a chair with his
severed hand arranged to look like he was picking his nose. They were
extremely realistic, if they were faked then someone with a lot of talent
had a lot of time. I say this as a professional airbrush artist that has
digitally manipulated hundreds of photos.
I am looking for information on this specific case, as well as copies of the
photos. Please reply here if you have any information.
And yes, I'm seriously a journalist working on a story, and the photos do
exist.

I don't remember names, but I remember the story quite well. I
believe the woman was married to the murdered man. One day, her
boyfriend snuck into the house & stabbed him - as he & she had
planned. Once that was done, they got naked, probably had sex, &
proceeded to dismember the body, turning it into a "festive" occasion
by taking lots of pictures. The next day, she went to the police to
turn her boyfriend in for the murder. From what I understand, she
tried to make it sound like it was all his idea & that she had
absolutely nothing to do with it. She thought she'd gotten away
clean, but when the cops found the boyfriend in her garage to arrest
him, the camera with the film was still there as well. Naturally, the
pictures of her gleefully assisting in the butchering of the
deceased's corpse did little to convince anyone that she was just an
innocent bystander. :-) I'll post the names & such if I find them,
but there's the story as I remember it.

They took the film to be developed by a friend where he worked as he knew
about the murder. A co-worker saw the developed film and called the police.

That's what I have always thought. But one of the links says that isn't
true, that the woman in the pics went to the police next day. Wish we knew
for sure which story is true. I hope the camera/film developer one is how
the arrest happened.

Detroit, July 14, 1982. The victim Bobby ( ROBERT BERKOWITZ.) is shot
by James Edward Glover,
then 36, and Bobby's girlfriend (not wife) Jeannine Lynn Clark,
aka Charlie, then 21. Bobby is shot in the back of the head with
a large calibre copper jacketed bullet which lodges at the base
of his skull. They then proceed to hack up the body while taking
pictures, usually in (to them) humorous poses. The film is left
in the camera.
To make this brief, on July 17 Jeannine comes to the police
station and reports that Jimmy has killed and butchered her
boyfriend (Bobby), and that he (Jimmy) is still at Bobby's house.
The police respond, find the body, Jimmy (in the garage), AND
the camera with film inside.
JEANNINE SAYS SHE WAS FORCED TO HELP DISPOSE OF THE BODY, THE POLICE
DEVELOPED THE FILM AND SEE A SMILING JEANNINE ( DONT HELP HER DEFENCE

The film is processed, the results analyzed, which leads to:
James Edward Glover pled guilty on November 30, 1982. He is
sentenced to 30-50 years for 2nd degree murder, 2 years for
possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and 6-10
years for mutilation of a dead human body.
Jeannine Lynn Clark was found guilty by a jury on February 2,
1983 and sentenced on Febuary 23 to 6-10 years for mutilation of
a dead human body.
Presumedly, Jeannine is out by now on these charges. Choose your
girlfriends carefully.

On july 14th 1982, just before midnight, Robert Beckowitz 33 sat next to his girlfriend Jeannine Clark, 21, watching The Benny hill show, when Robert’s friend, James Edward Glover, 37 came up behind him and shot him in the back of the head with a 45 caliber bullet before stabbing him 83 times. James and Jeannine who had been having an affair then preceded to have a 3 day drug fuelled orgy which involved, Sex, Mutilation, and dismemberment of Robert’s corpse and if that wasn’t depraved enough, they took photos. They posed Robert’s corpse in different positions. One photo shows Robert’s decapitated head on a chair with the toe of his dismembered foot in his mouth. They also put his dismembered penis and the fingers of one of his dismembered hands inside his mouth. They took turns posing with Robert whilst mutilating him and cutting him up with an ax-saw that James had borrowed from his Mom. Robert was cut up into 14 pieces and hidden around the apartment in plastic bags. After the drugs had worn off, James decided to call the police and hand himself in. Jeannine said her involvement in the crime was against her will and she never wanted Robert to die and that James had forced her into it but one of the neighbours saw Jeannine leaving the apartment and returning, It was said that she went out to buy more film for the camera. Also, the expressions on her face in the photos tell a different story and her claims were thrown out of court but James admitted that he had forced Jeannine to take part. Jeannine was sentenced to 6 years in prison for mutilation of a corpse. James pleaded guilty and got 30 to 50 years in prison for 2nd degree murder and mutilation.

James Edward Glover (Born c. 1945-1984/1985) and Jeannine Lynn Clark (Born c. 1960/1961) were a couple that murdered 33 year old Biker Robert Beckowitz.
Murder of Robert Beckowitz
On July 17th in his apartment in the 19300 block of Woodbine in northwest Detroit, Robert Beckowitz was watching the Benny Hill Show with his 37 year old friend James Edward Glover and his 21 year old Girlfriend Jeannine Lynn Clark. Glover and Clark were secretly having an affair, this was possibly part of Glover motivation for the crime. Glover excused himself from watching the program, as Glover had spinal damage and needed a cane to walk around he went to grab one of Beckowitz's guns. Glover then came up behind Beckowitz with a 45 caliber handgun and shot him in the head, killing him and then proceeding to stab Beckowitz 83 times.
Over the next 3 days Glover and Clark had sex, taking methanfedine took pictures of themselves in the nude with Beckowitz's corpse while mutilating it with a hacksaw Glover borrowed from his parents. In some pictures Glover is seen putting Beckowitz's dismembered penis in his face, and others show Beckowitz's dismembered head on a chair with dismembered body parts such as his finger from his hand or his big toe from his foot in his nose and mouth respectively.
By the end of the ordeal Beckowitz had been cut up into 14 pieces which were then hidden around the apartment in plastic bags and sustained over 80-100 stab wounds. On July 20th Clark phoned the police and confessed everything. Glover was found heavily sedated on drugs and arrested. Glover pleaded not guilty in 36th District Court, where he was charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and mutilation of a dead human body, Judge William Hathaway remanded Glover to the Wayne County Jail without bond and ordered him to undergo psychiatric evaluation. Clark who was also arrested claimed she was held captive by Glover, and remained in custody for violated for a bank robbery charge.
Going against Clark's claims of being held against her will were Neighbors that said she and Glover had been seen outside the house several times since the day of the murder. Clark and Glover were seen visiting a garage sale, her neighbour Janice Zmich, said her son saw Glover and Clark outside the house Thursday morning, as well as hearing a woman she believed to be Clark outside the house about 3:45 a.m. yelling to be let back inside. Clark also went out to buy film for Glover's camera. Clark was ultimately charged for mutilating Beckowitz’s corpse.
Glover was found mentally mentally competent to stand trial. He then pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder, mutilating a corpse and using a firearm in the commission of a felony in exchange for a promise that he would not be given a life sentence. Glover offered no explanation for the killing or for what followed. Glover was sentenced to 30 to 50 years in prison for what the judge called a “48-hour frenzy” of murder and dismemberment on December 1st 1982. Glover said he “must have been” responsible for the mutilations and photographs. But he said he could not be sure because he was heavily drugged on synthetic opiates and amphetamines. “It’s a big puzzle ... I cannot explain,” he said.
Clark was convicted of mutilating Beckowitz's corpse on February 3rd 1983. Her claim of being held against her will was supported by Glover, who said “Right now, I’d say she didn’t really stay of her own free will,” Glover testified. However he did say she was allowed to leave at certain points. Prosecutor Thomas Bahen said the photographs,proved that Clark enthusiastically joined in on the mutilation. Bahen said “No one is going to know all of what happened, but those photographs are graphic evidence of some things that did happen,” Bahen said. “Look at her face (in the photographs). Do you see fear, revulsion, disgust? I don’t think you will find those things.” Bahen also said that Glover who had spinal-damage and a cane to walk, must have needed Clark’s to move Beckowitz’s body, and she could have overpowered him if she was being held against her will. Clark was sentenced to 6 to 10 years for mutilating Beckowitz.
Sources say Glover died in Prison in 1984 or 1985 and Clark now resides in Arizona and has been arrested for things like filing false tax returns.
