JAMIE KILLER CONFESSES
EVIL Darren Vickers has finally made a sensational
confession to murdering little Jamie Lavis.
The ex-bus driver told all to police in his prison cell three
weeks after being given life for killing the eight year old.
During his trial he strongly denied the crime, even
hinting Jamie's dad John was involved.
But all the time he was lying. Vickers, 28, befriended
the child on his bus then abducted, assaulted and killed
him.
One day into his sentence he contacted police and they
taped him confessing to committing the crime in
Stockport.
Yesterday the father-of-four from Openshaw,
Manchester, again faced his trial judge.
Mr Justice Forbes was about to recommend how long
he should serve in prison. He could have ruled he never
be released.
The judge heard details of the confession and will take it
into account in his recommendation.
It is believed Vickers admitted his guilt to possibly be
elig-ible for parole in years to come.
It is not known if he revealed where Jamie's missing
head and limbs can be found.
