Over in Louisiana, a 24 year old man named Eric Matthews is under arrest on
charges of strangling his 1 1/2 year old stepson, wrapping the body in plastic
and dumping it in a trash can. Soon after his arrest, Eric confessed to the
killing of 1 1/2 year old slave James, AND the additional killings of THREE
women, including the mother of the 1 1/2 year old. Yup, it looks like 24 year
old Eric is a full-fledged quadruple murderer! Police believe that on Monday,
Eric killed his 20 year old wife, Lashann. He then fled with her 2 children,
aged 4 and 1 1/2. He is not the biological father of either child. At some
point he became enraged at 1 1/2 year old James, and strangled the slave to
death.
He was arrested yesterday, after his car was spotted by police. He had his 4
year old stepdaughter with him, but she was not physically injured, and Eric
apparently did not resist arrest or attempt to flee. He initially told police
that he had dropped 1 1/2 year old Eric off at a nearby hospital, but soon
admitted that he had strangled the toddler to death, but only AFTER police had
found the body dumped into an outdoor trash can.
After confessing to this murder, Eric became quite talkative, telling
authorities that he had killed his wife on Monday, committed THREE RAPES, two
of them earlier this week, including that of a 17 year old girl, AND that in
the early 1990's he had serially killed TWO of his former girlfriends, in
Indiana and Michigan. Police are confirming that they have established links to
two unsolved homicides in those states that match up with Eric's confession. In
the early 1990's Eric was still a teenager, so it looks leke he began his
killing carrer early. And, if he indeed did kill those two ex-girlfriends, he
qualifies as a genuine SERIAL killer, thanks to his third & fourth harvestings
a few days ago.
Eric had been married to 20 year old Lashann for only 6 months. He bound,
gagged, and then beat/choked her to death, on Monday. He certainly has himself
a rather TC impressive resume, for a 24 year old, with 4 murders under his
belt.

and police said his stepfather — arrested the day before in a Chicago suburb —
confessed to killing the child, the child's mother and two other women.
The suspect, 24-year-old Eric Matthews, was found Wednesday in Schiller Park,
Ill., with his 4-year-old stepdaughter, who appeared unharmed. He was arrested
on kidnapping charges, and at first he told police he had dropped 1
1/2-year-old James off at a New Orleans hospital before heading north.
He later admitted strangling the boy, then confessed to several more killings
and a couple of rapes, said Jay Callais, a spokesman for the police department
in Hammond, La.
Police believe Matthews' crime spree began Monday with the killing of his wife,
Lashann Matthews, 20, at their home in Hammond, about 45 miles northwest of New
Orleans. He then fled with her children, Rosalyn and James.
Little James' body was found early Thursday in a trash bin behind a church in a
New Orleans suburb.
"FBI agents continued to interrogate Eric Matthews. And finally, he broke down
and said that he had killed the little boy in a fit of rage,'' Callais said.
Callais said Hammond police will charge Matthews with the murder of his wife of
six months. Her body was found Monday in the trailer home the two had shared in
Hammond. She had been bound, gagged and beaten.
While being questioned, Matthews also admitted committing two rapes this week
in Indiana and Louisiana and killing two of his ex-girlfriends in the early
1990s, Callais said.
Matthews told authorities he killed two of his ex-girlfriends before he moved
to the New Orleans area in 1996. Authorities believe those two murders occurred
in the Indianapolis and Michigan areas; they were considered unsolved homicides
until Wednesday's confession.
Matthews said he dumped both bodies in trash bins.
"We're glad we have such a dangerous person in custody,'' Callais said.

Murder suspect admits to killing wife, her son, others

The body of a missing 17-month-old boy was found in a dumpster in New Orleans
early today, and Chicago authorities arrested his stepfather Wednesday in
connection with his death.
The body of toddler James Sylve was found around 2 a.m. in a dumpster behind
the Pelican Building on Airline Highway, said Hammond police spokesman Jay
Callais. The site is near the Jefferson/Orleans Parish line.
Hammond police had been searching for Eric Matthews, 24, after his wife,
Lashann Sylve Matthews, 20, was found murdered sometime late Sunday or early
Monday. Her two children were missing from the home.
Officers with the Schiller Park Police Department arrested Matthews around noon
Wednesday in Chicago. He has since been charged with first-degree murder for
the death of his wife and intent to inflict great bodily harm in the toddler's
death.
The 4 1/2-year-old daughter of Lashann Sylve Matthews was found safe when the
stepfather was arrested, the FBI reported.
Matthews was arrested on a federal warrant filed in the Eastern District of
Louisiana, charging him with one count of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution
- simple kidnapping.
Matthews originally told police he had left the boy at a New Orleans hospital
but later confessed to FBI agents in Chicago that he strangled the child at 6
a.m. Monday in a New Orleans hotel. He said he wrapped the toddler's body in a
plastic bag and threw it in the dumpster before heading north, according to
Callais.
Matthews also allegedly confessed to other crimes, Callais said, including:
• Murdering his wife and committing two murders that occurred in the early
1990s around the Indianapolis area. Initial autopsy reports indicate Lashann
Matthews died from asphyxiation.
• Committing a rape in the Hammond area about a year ago. The victim had been
tied up and refused to tell police who assaulted her for fear of her life,
police said.
• Committing a rape earlier this week. Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office
spokesman Chuck Reed said a passing motorist found the victim, a 17-year-old
girl, on the side of Alfano Lane around 5 p.m. Tuesday. She was naked from the
waist down and severely dehydrated, Reed said.
Residents there told detectives that Matthews owns the property where the
victim was found.
Acadian Ambulance took the girl to North Oaks Medical Center.
She told authorities she wasn't sure how long she had been lying on the ground,
and tests revealed she had extensive sexual trauma, Reed said.
He said sheriff's detectives haven't interviewed her yet because she is still
being treated.
Schiller Park officers spotted Matthews' black Dodge Stratus in a parking lot
and arrested him without incident.
Authorities in Marion County, Ind., were also searching for Matthews because of
an alleged rape and beating of a woman there sometime Tuesday.
Matthews' name was on the register of a motel there, and he listed the same
vehicle description.

other very interesting TC news items that are being ignored. So I am very happy
to provide this very interesting update on 24 year old Eric Matthews, the
fellow in Louisiana who has confessed to killing his wife of 6 months, her 1
1/2 year old son, and TWO other women, ex-girlfriends, in the early 1990's.
This makes Eric a genuine serial killer. He has also confessed to raping three
women, two of them this week, after his killing of 20 year old Lashann, his
wife, and her 1 1/2 year old son.
In this most fascinating update we learn that Eric began expressing his rage
at a VERY young age. At the age of TEN, Eric was charged with and CONVICTED of
RAPING a 35 year old mental hospital staff worker. As an even younger child,
Eric was OF COURSE brutally abused. His uncle began raping Eric when he was
THREE years old,. At age 9, Eric was PUNISHED by his society, and sent to a
mental institution. A year later, at age 10, he cathartically relieved his own
rage and hate by DOING to a 35 year old, what was done to HIM, against HIS
will. He was raped over and over prior to age 9, and at age 10, he simply chose
to REFLECT back at his society, the injustice and brital trauma that was
forcibly imposed upon him. And yet AFTER he committed the rape at age 10, your
society chose to find Eric "guilty", and to punitively punish him. He was
forced to remain in mental hospitals, in three different states, throughout
most of his childhood after age 9.
Authorities are now finalizing the extradition of Eric back to LA. He was
arrested in IL, and initially denied killing his 1 1/2 year old stepson, but
after his body was found wrapped in plastic & dumped into a trash can, Eric
began confessing to numerous crimes, including the four murders. He will
initially be charged with the murder of his 20 year old wife of 6 months, but
the FBI has been brought in to investigate the two early 1990's murders, and it
appears VERY likely that Eric is telling the truth and did kill his two former
girlfriends, aged 18 and 19, both of whom disappeared in 1994. One of them was
Eric's live-in lover, the other worked in the same restaurant as Eric and was
apparently involved with him romantically. Both of these women have been
missing since 1994. Their bodiers have NEVER been found, which might make it
hard for police to prove conclusively that Eric did kill them. But I see no
reason to doubt his confession, and it is undeniably true that both of these
women had DIRECT links to Eric and disappeared without a trace in 1994.
Your society allowed Eric to suffer brutal abuse, since age 3. At age 10,
your society chose to punish Eric again, by convicting him of rape. Well, Eric
got the LAST LAUGH. He successfully killed FOUR people. Even if your pathetic
society imposes a legal murder upon Eric, via the death penalty, he still WINS.
Your society created him, and he claimed FOUR lives of members of society. You
can only physically kill Eric ONCE. So, at the very end, when all is said and
done, the final score will be: Eric 4, your society 1. In the end, we ALL lose
at the game of life. Eric simply began losing as a child. At some point he
decided to claim his justifiable vengeance, and I honor and salute his right to
have done so.

front of her grandparent's television, seemingly unaware of the murder spree
her stepfather confessed to that included her mother and 18-month-old brother.
Rosalyn Sylve was returned to her grandparents from the Chicago suburb where
her stepfather, Eric Matthews, remained in jail. Police were preparing Thursday
to return him to Louisiana to face murder charges.
"It can't happen too soon," Schiller Park, Ill., police Chief Peter J. Pule
said. "I say good riddance to bad rubbish."
Matthews, 24, disappeared Monday from his home in Hammond, La., with Rosalyn
and her brother James, the same day his wife was found murdered.
After a three-day manhunt that ran through Indiana, Matthews was found at a
motel near Chicago. Rosalyn was found safe in one of the rooms. James was not
with them.
At first, Matthews claimed he had dropped the boy off at a hospital in New
Orleans before taking off, but the child's body was found in a trash bin along
a suburban New Orleans road Thursday.
"After all the leads from the stories he told us about dropping the baby off at
an emergency room of a hospital fell through we knew he was lying about that,"
said Sgt. Jay Callais of the police department in Hammond.
Police believe Matthews' crime spree began Monday with the killing of his wife,
Lashann Matthews, 20, at their home about 45 miles northwest of New Orleans.
Authorities brought the girl back to the New Orleans Thursday.
"She's wonderful. She's happy to be home," said the girl's aunt, Sonja Lewis.
"She didn't say anything about it. She just settled in and started playing."
The investigation was turned over to the FBI, Sgt. Charles Muse of the Hammond
Police said Thursday night.
Hammond Police will charge Matthews with the murder of his wife. Her body was
found Monday in the trailer home the two shared. She had been bound and gagged,
with a pillow case over her head. She had been badly beaten.
The couple married in November.
During Wednesday night's interrogation, Matthews also admitted killing two
ex-girlfriends in the early 1990s, Callais said.
Marion County (Ind.) detectives identified them as Christina N. Darnell, 18,
Matthews' former live-in girlfriend, whom he reported missing in August 1994,
and Kenya L. Willis, 19, a former waitress who worked with Matthews at an
Indianapolis pancake house. She was reported missing in June 1994.
"I always suspected he was involved," Capt. Michael Turk of the Marion County
Sheriff's Department said of the Darnell slaying.
Neither of the women's bodies has been discovered. Matthews told detectives he
dumped Darnell's body in a trash bin somewhere in the Castleton area of
Indianapolis.
Matthews admitted committing two rapes while on the run from Louisiana as well.
One of the alleged rapes occurred at the Dollar Inn, an Indianapolis motel
where he stayed this week.
Marion County detectives said an exotic dancer who worked for an escort service
identified Matthews as the man who raped her after she danced seminude for him
in the motel room Tuesday.
After he raped the 36-year-old dancer, Matthews choked her until she passed
out, detectives said.
When she woke up, Matthews and a little girl who was with him in the motel room
had disappeared, she said.
The other alleged rape victim is a teenager who was found injured and suffering
from dehydration in a Tickfaw, La., field.
Matthews has been in trouble with the law since he was a child. Court records
state he was sexually assaulted by an uncle when he was 3 years old.
At 9, he was sent to a mental hospital. At 10, he was charged and convicted of
first-degree sexual assault in the rape of a 35-year-old mental hospital staff
worker.
He was made a ward of the court and sent to mental hospitals in Michigan,

I already know what a serial killer is. Eric Matthews is a serial killer, got
it? If you want to know the facts about what criteria a person must meet to be
a serial killer, you will ask me politely and respectfully. The vast majority
of humans, even the stupid ones, know what the official definition of a serial
killer is, and realize that Eric meets the required criteria. But of course
there will always be stupid trolls infesting this NG, who reach new heights of
ignorance.
