Here is a news item that just warms the cockles of my foot fetishistic heart.
Over in Singapore, a 43 year old fellow named Zainal Mohamed Esa has been
sentenced to 25 weeks in jail for having STOLEN about 68 pairs of USED shoes.
Zainal very specifically went after SMELLY shoes, because he has a very
specific sexual fetish in which he derives sexual pleasure and climax from
drinking in the intoxicating odor of smelly shoes.
This is quite COMMON among foot fetishists, certainly MORe common than my
specific fetish for dEFORMED and painful female feet is. Smelly shoes don't do
much for me, but if they are female shoes, and a gal with tired/aching/painful
feet has just taken them off, I do enjoy examining the shoes with my hands AND
nose, briefly, before moving on to exploring her sore feet. Certainly I do not
find female foot or shoe odor to ever be offensive to my sensibilities, but
it's not a PRIMARY cause of erotic excitement either, in and of itself.
25 weeks in JAIL seems like a very harsh punishment to impose upon our smelly
shoe fetishist. A MONETARY fine, to cover the VALUE of the stolen shoes, would
have been more appropriate, with NO jail time. In court, Zainal's lawyer told
the judge that his client had NO interest in monetary gain, such as stealing
and trying to resell the shoes. Instead: "My client had a burning desire, akin
to that of a drug addict, to sniff used pairs of shoes." He is a shoe fetishist
folks, simple as that. He kept the shoes ONLY for as long as the odor of the
past owner remained. Obviously the odor did fade in time, and then Zainal
THOUGHTFULLY gave the shoes away to the salvation army charity. In a FEW cases,
he tried to RETURN the shoes to their owners. Sounds like he is a VERY kind and
thoughtful man, who meant no harm, but simply NEEDED to fulfill his strong
sexual fetish. hey, you can bet that I often go to MAJOR lengths and troubles
to satisfy my own fetish. Always have and always will.
Zainal was caught TWICE by police. The first time, back in November, 40 pairs
of shoes not belonging to him, were found in his possession. He apparently was
not given any jail time after that first incident, but just 3 months later,
cops found him in possession of 28 additional pairs of used shoes, that he had
stolen during the three month time period after his first arrest. That's when
the judge decided to impose a 25 week prison term.
I WISH this news item would at least tell us whether he stole men's shoes,
women's shoes, or both. MOST smelly shoe fetishists do have a specific gender
preference, but NOT all. About 95% would only steal shoes from a specific
gender, for masturbary climaxing plasure. But the other 5% swing both ways, so
to speak.
Take care, JOE

Singapore man sentenced for stealing smelly shoes
SINGAPORE, March 5 (Reuters) - A man who stole smelly shoes because he was
addicted to their odour was sentenced to 25 weeks in jail by a Singapore court,
the Straits Times newspaper reported on Friday.
Lorry driver Zainal Mohamed Esa, 43, did not steal the shoes to sell, but out
of a ``burning desire, akin to that of a drug addict, to sniff used pairs of
shoes,'' his lawyer Rai Ratan Kumar was quoted as saying.
Zainal, whose obsession was a psychological need, said his lawyer, kept the
shoes until the smell waned and then gave them to the Salvation Army or tried
to return them to their owners.
Police got on the scent of the shoe thief after a tip-off from a resident
living near the site of the thefts.
Zainal had 40 pairs of shoes when he was caught last November. In January the
police caught him again with 28 pairs.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of theft and two counts of fraudulent
possession and is out on bail until his sentence starts on April 1.

Man stole smelly shoes to sniff them
By KAREN WONG
A MAN who was twice caught with dozens of used shoes he had stolen pleaded with
a judge to be lenient, saying that he had a "sort of addiction" to the smell of
old, worn shoes.
Zainal Mohamed Esa, 43, a lorry driver, did not steal them to sell, but out of
a "burning desire, akin to that of a drug addict, to sniff used pairs of
shoes", said his lawyer, Mr Rai Ratan Kumar.
He told a district court yesterday that Zainal kept the shoes "until the smell
runs out".
Then he either gave them to the Salvation Army or tried to return them.
He usually took shoes which had been left outside flats, said the lawyer,
describing the obsession as "sort of a psychological need".
Zainal pleaded guilty to two counts of theft and two counts of fraudulent
possession yesterday. District Judge F. G. Remedios considered two other
similar charges against Zainal when he sentenced him to a total of 25 weeks'
jail. He will begin his sentence on April 1 and is out on $20,000 bail.
The court heard that at about 6 am on Nov 11 last year, a man living in Block
329, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, called the police and reported that someone was
stealing shoes.
Later that day, the police found Zainal at the void deck of Block 345, Ang Mo
Kio Avenue 3.
He had 40 pairs of other people's shoes with him.
Investigations found that earlier that morning, between 5.30 am and 6 am, he
had taken at least five pairs from flats in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.
At about 6 am on Jan 25 this year, in Block 238, Serangoon Avenue 2, Zainal was
found with 28 pairs of shoes, six plastic bags and a trolley. Outside the
court, his 22-year-old daughter told The Straits Times that she had no idea her
father had such a problem until he was arrested.
