I have to admit I am curious about that too. Aside from the jailed members
there is very little about other members mentioned like Gypsy, Barbara
Hoyt, Dianne Lake. And what about all the children in the family? Manson
himself had offspring with several of those women.Any info?
Manson was moved to a higher security prison after the officials said they
found drugs in his cell that he was supposedly selling to other inmates. He
has since been moved back to Corcoran, though. His web site is
http://www.atwa.com
Gypsy is supposedly in the federal witness protection program. According to
the book "Manson Behind the Scenes" she married a convict named Patrick
Shannahan and changed her name to Jessica. She was living near Dallas, TX
but has supposedly moved elsewhere. Born again Christian.
Snake was an assistant manager of a bank, but not as an executive VP as some
sources have claimed. No longer at the bank, though. Married with kids.
Born again Christian.
I seem to recall that Ouisch is a housewife with kids.
I think Paul Watkins was kind of an unofficial mayor of some little town but
has since passed away. I'm kinda fuzzy on this one so could be wrong on the
death part.
Bruce Davis was studying drafting and had a couple of job offers whenever
he's released. He's married to a stewardess for an airline and has a child.
There's a couple of books trying to claim that he was the Zodiac killer.
For that connection see:
http://www.mansonmurders.com/ZODIACBREAKING.html (claims Davis is Zodiac)
http://www.zodiackiller.net/SuspectDavis.html (says there's just a few
interesting coincidences)
Tex Watson is married and has several kids. He runs a Christian
organization aimed at getting Christian materials to inmates. His web site
is http://www.aboundinglove.org It has a long interview with him at
http://www.aboundinglove.org/interview.htm Denied parole for the maximum
time of 5 years (No, he won't be paroled then. He just won't have another
hearing for 5 years.) He was moved to a higher security prison a while
back.
Leslie Van Houten recently had a parole hearing and was turned down again.
But this time for only one year. So, she gets another hearing next year.
Whenever they start letting hearings get that close together, it's a big
sign that they're about to let them out. Sooo, 1999 or 2000 may very well
see her release. Read about her at http://www.wco.com/~aerick/leslie.html
There's a bit of info about Susan Atkins, also at
http://www.wco.com/~aerick/leslie.html She married some self-proclaimed
millionaire (Donald Laisure). On their honeymoon (yeah, they got 72 hours
together), she supposedly stabbed him, leaving a 4 to 6 inch scar. They
divorced and she married James Whitehouse, whom I believe has now graduated
from law school. So, she's got a lawyer for a husband, now! She was denied
parole for only 4 years last time, rather than the maximum 5.
But, she's not the first to be released. Just the first BIG name one. Clem
was let out ages ago. He supposedly studied airplane repair while in
prison, but does house painting.
Manson's son with Mary Brunner went public about 5 years ago. Michael
Brunner. He was raised by Mary's parents. I believe he said Mary was more
like a sister to him than a mother. To me, he looks more like Mary than
Charlie.
He also had another son from his pre-infamous days. He was killed around 5
years ago, too. As I recall, his truck/car was found by the side of the
road and he'd been shot to death. Seems like Nevada, but I'm probably
wrong. He had made contact with Charlie by mail a year or so earlier, as I
recall.
Sandy Good's son was raised by friends and she seems to protect him from the
media. She now says his father is Charlie.
Bobby Beasoleil and Kitty Lutsinger (bet I blew those spellings!) had a
child, too. I believe she raised the child.
That's all I can recall right now...
Thank you for your time and consideration:
With GODS' LOVE Capt JOHN "V"

I'm pretty sure that their lawyers hint that it won't hurt their appeal
attempts either.
***-.._.--**-.._..-.........Wolfenhnd.......-.._..-**--._..---***
If you wanted to give 'em the benefit of the doubt, you could also assume
its the first time in their lives that they've had plenty of time to sit
down and think about life. Or they see so much negativity around them that
they turn to something better. Or they do the tough/bad act for a while and
see that isn't really accomplishing anything. Or they see the other
believers are the only ones finding much tranquility amidst the harshness of
prison...
But then again, I'm bet there's one or two fakers in there... ;)
Okay, I was just searching thru my archives (okay, its a cardboard box with
a bunch of pages torn from magazines and tabloids). Here's from the May 24,
1994 issue of Examiner (and a couple of other sources):
Sandy Good lives in Hanford, CA, which is near Manson's prison. Holds
copyrights on the www.atwa.com web site. Gardens. Sells homemade crafts.
Catherine Share was living in the southwestern US. Had worked for an
airline but was fired when her past was discovered. Has a husband and son.
Linda Kasabian was living in New England. Mother of 4. Changed name to
Linda Christian. Supposedly worked as a waitress, got discovered and moved
to Miami, FL and works in a restaurant.
Nancy Pitman served 3 years. Housewife in Napa, CA. Still has the X on her
forehead.
Catherine Gillies is a mother of 5, living on welfare in Trona, CA.
Mary Brunner. Librarian in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Supposedly had to move
after being exposed.
Ruth Ann Morehouse. Lives in midwest and is afraid of Manson followers. A
single mother. Had to move every two years. Son was 23 (as of 1994).
Church goer.
I'll eventually put this on my web site a bit clearer along with photos.
Manson's son by Rosie Willis reportedly committed suicide (gunshot to head)
June 29, 1993. He had gone by the name Charles Manson, Jr. earlier in life
but then changed to Charles White. Found beside his vehicle on interstate
70 near the Colorado/Kansas state line (Kit Carson County, CO).

I actually see very little difference between going around saying"Charlie
is love" and "Jesus loves you."

There isn't much.
When I was working at the asylum one of my cow orkers was a predatory
Jehovah's Witness. As we worked the night shift, he had plenty of time
to importune the patients. Since the patients couldn't escape, he wouldn't
leave them alone when they asked him to, and many of them had trouble
with vivid religious ideation (i.e. delusions) to begin with -- not to
mention that the bookshelves were groaning with the weight of Watchtowers
and awake!s -- I interpreted this as abusive and reported the cow orker.
This resulted in the cow orker's being 'counseled' and his agreeing to lay
off the patients.
A couple of days later, I was attacked by a patient with a metal table leg.
This was not an especially substantial weapon and it would not have been
a very effective attack if the leg had not been concealed on the other side
of a counter from me and brought down on my skull by surprise. I didn't
lose consciousness, but was blinded by blood. When things sorted out,
the religious cow orker -- who by the by had been on the same side of
the counter as the patient and could have seen the table leg -- had
unlocked the door and released the patient. The patient stole a car
and drove to San Marcos. He was apprehended by San Marcos police
who, alerted by a silent alarm, arrived at a service station to
discover the patient kneeling on the attendant's chest making mush
of the attendant's skull with a hammer.
Outcomes;
Cow orker: discharged in a couple of weeks for striking a patient
who had been resisting conversion
service-station attendant; was expected to survive as a vegetable,
the last I heard.
patient; confined in the sort-of-secure 'boot camp' unit at the
asylum, had grounds privileges in three weeks, released
in six weeks
me: a marked man for violating 'the code' by reporting an
abusive situation, eased out over the course of a year.
conclusion; Jehovah's love is approximately the same as Charlie
is love.

I remember Ruth Ann being pregnant at the time of the Manson trials. Since
she was still "in the family" at that time, does anyone know which Mansonite
was the father?
