Yet another family killing spree has occured, this time in Brookline,
Massachusetts, well known to all extreme true crime afficianados as the
city where John Salvi went on his abortion clinic shooting spree.
This triple murder occured a few days ago, Sunday night. Dr. Laxma Reddy
shot to death his wife, daughter, and father-in-law. Wednesday night, the
police finally caught up with the Good Doctor, way out west, in Elko,
Nevada. Police stopped his car, he got out brandishing a 9 MM handgun, and
the police officer shot him to death. Apparently the Good Doctor does not
have a quick trigger finger, or he just isn't a good shot. Ten shell
casings were found at the scene, but it's not clear who fired the ten
rounds, it's quite possible that the damn police officer just emptied his
own gun into the Good Doctor, and all ten bullets were fired by him.
Oh well, the healer becomes a killer, nothing new there. All of us have
the capacity to kill, it's just a question of the right combination of
factors coming together. At least the doctor managed to succeed in his
chosen mission. He shot his 3 family members, all 3 of them died. Mission
accomplished, for whatever it was worth to him.
Take care, JOE

ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A doctor suspected of killing his wife, daughter and
father-in-law near Boston was shot and killed when he pulled a gun on a
sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop, authorities said today.
``We're confident that there's no other suspect at large at this time,''
Norfolk County District Attorney Jeffrey Locke said at a news conference
in Massachusetts.
Laxma Reddy, 41, was driving a black car with Massachusetts license plates
when Deputy Jim Pitts stopped him Wednesday evening, Elko County Sheriff
Neil Harris said.
Pitts was about to question Reddy when he emerged from the car carrying a
9mm handgun matching the style and caliber used in the killings Sunday
night, the Massachusetts prosecutor said.
``Unlike what happened in Brookline he confronted someone who also had a
weapon,'' Locke said.
Reddy died at a hospital in this small city about 300 miles east of Reno.
Pitts was not injured. It was not immediately known if there was any
return fire, but a witness said about 10 shell casings were found on the
ground.
Massachusetts authorities have been searching for Reddy since Monday
morning when the bodies of Uma Reddy, 41, her 13-year-old daughter,
Kirthi, and father, Jaganatha Reddy, 58, were found in their apartment in
the Boston suburb. All had been shot in the back of the head.
A memorial service was held Wednesday evening at the Hare Krishna temple
in Brookline, where Mrs. Reddy and her daughter worshiped almost daily.
Locke said investigators turned to Reddy as a suspect after determining
that the killer of Reddy's relatives used a key to enter the apartment.
Brookline police and Massachusetts State Police flew to Cleveland, Reddy's
last known address, after discovering the bodies.
They learned that Reddy had left in the middle of his second year of
residency in internal medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, the
state where he had purchased a handgun.
Reddy recently visited his family in Brookline, but had not been seen in
weeks, friends said. The family is originally from Andhrapradesh in
southern India, but moved to the United States so Reddy could study
medicine, they said.
He received his medical degree in August 1979 from Gandhi Medical College
in India and interned at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City from July
1993 to June 1994.

Hello, yet another moronic observation of murder by Joe.
Mission accomplished. Joe once again shows himself to be out of touch with reality.
