Elderly Diabled Springdale Man Falls Victim to "Pigeon Drop" Scam

Police say one man approached the victim on June 8th and asked for directions and a ride to the bank. He told the victim he'd won a large settlement but didn't trust the bank.
Once at the bank, a second suspect, who used a cane, pretended he was a stranger who had just withdrawn money from the bank. That second suspect with the cane gave the victim and the first suspect $10,000 and let them drive around the block with it, as a sign of trust. Then the first suspect and the man with the cane convinced the victim to go inside and withdraw $3000 -- and let them hold the money -- also as a sign of trust.
But then a third person showed up, and the two accomplices disappeared with the victim's money.

Joseph Harris, 21, and Ryan Bennie, 24, were charged with the Sept. 26, 2010, early morning robbery shooting death of Shane Gulleman, 18, of Greendale, Ind. Gulleman drove to a Winton Hills parking lot in the 100 block of Craft Street to buy drugs but was robbed and killed.
Harris routinely mouthed off during the trial, often loudly cursing, especially at Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor David Prem, who Harris insisted was lying. At one point, Harris launched so many vile names at Prem and caused such a commotion in court as the jury was watching that the judge granted Harris' request to be removed from the courtroom so he wouldn't have to be offended by Prem's closing argument.
"In all my years, I've never had a defendant tell the judge he couldn't stand listening to me and wanted to leave," Prem said.
At least one member of the audience also argued with Prem and was kicked out of the courthouse.
The jury convicted Harris of all charges - aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and gun charges - but found Bennie not guilty of all charges.
When Harris is sentence July 27, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The shootings happened around 12 a.m. in the 7000 block of Stillwell Road.
Police are still trying to piece together what happened but they know that two of the victims, a man and a woman, drove to Thornton's gas station on Reading Road to get help. The man was shot in the cheek, the woman in the leg.
Police believe the four other victims drove themselves to the hospital.
The victims' names and conditions have not been released. Police have also not released any information on suspects
except to state that they're niggers.

A crime alert from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said two black males entered the Fred Meyer Jewelers inside Kroger on June 16 and one suspect asked to see an item in the display case while the other looked around the store.
The first male asked to see another piece of jewelry from an adjacent case and the employee left the first case open. When the employee turned her back, the second male reached behind the counter and took the tennis bracelet, the alert said.
Both men left the store and the theft was not discovered until the following day, according to the alert.
The first suspect is described as around 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing more than 200 pounds, bald and dark complexion. The second suspect is described as 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with a light to medium complexion. Both are 30 to 40 years old, the alert said.

Yvonne Kennedy, 49, struck the officer in the left side of her head Thursday night in the 500 block of Elberon Avenue in Price Hill, according to Cincinnati police.
She also threatened to throw a coffee mug at officers and refused to comply with orders to place her hands behind her back so they could handcuff her, police wrote in a complaint filed with Hamilton County Municipal Court.
Kennedy was held without bond overnight at the county jail.
The officer is expected to recover.

Winslow was arrested after police used the few clues they had to narrow the number of suspects, and then used facial recognition software to match police sketch with his mugshot.
Police say on June 8th Larry Winslow lured his first victim into an alley by suggesting it was a shortcut. Then police say Winslow picked the woman up, threw her into the bushes, held her down, choked her and tried to remove her clothes. Fortunately, that victim was able to escape before he actually raped her. Sylvania Merriweather heard the alleged victim's screams. "She had came out, clothes was hanging off her, she had her shoes in her hands, she was hollering and screaming and crying and she ran acro
ss the street." That first attack that Merriweather described took place around noon. A time when typically you'd feel safe.
Police say Winslow tried to force himself on another woman that same day. His second victim was also able to fight him off. A short time later, police released a sketch and then later matched the sketch to Larry Winslow's mug shot. He was arrested June 22nd, the same day police say Winslow raped his third victim.
Merriweather says he feels all the women in the community are safer with Winslow behind bars. Along with the attempted rape and rape charges, Winslow is charged with six counts of kidnapping-two for each victim.

Ron Siler
Police are searching for a black man in his 20s who police say shot Siler in the arm around 11 a.m. in a street robbery at Race and Green streets in Over-the-Rhine. Police said Siler was transported to University Hospital with what they described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Siler, a high school dropout at age 14, found success in only one arena - boxing.
He won the 2004 U.S. Olympic boxing trials as a 5-foot-3, 112-pound flyweight.Siler was considered a medal contender, but his tournament ended in the next round with a 45-22 loss to Tulashboy Donivorov of Uzbekistan.
Siler previously had won the National Golden Gloves in 2002 and 2003 and the U.S. championships in 2004.
As a light flyweight, Siler won the 1998 and 2001 U.S. championships and the 2000 National Golden Gloves. He also won a bronze medal at the 2001 world championships.
Siler turned pro in 2010 year and has fought three times, his only bouts since the 2004 Olympics.
Earlier this year, Siler pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Ralph "Ted" Winkler sentenced him to two years of probation and fined him $1,000.
Siler, represented by a publicly paid lawyer because he said he was too poor to hire one, was allowed to travel out of state for boxing training and bouts, Winkler said.
Siler had a previous drug possession and trafficking arrest but those charges were dismissed because police forgot to date the search warrant and a key informer didn't appear to testify.
Siler previously was sent to prison for his role in the theft of tools at a construction site and a fight when construction workers tried to get the tools back. He was released from prison early, though, when U.S. boxing officials convinced the judge to release him so he could train for the Olympics.

The violence started with the lunchtime shooting inside Tucker's Restaurant in Over-The-Rhine in January. The young woman paralyzed by a bullet is the sister of Santino Furr, shot in the head in front of a Main Street market in May.
Captain Doug Wiesman, Cincinnati Police: "I think many of these people grow up in parts of Cincinnati, known since kids for whatever reason, trying to get back for beefs with each other."
Sometimes, the shootings are about drugs, turf street power and respect. Sometimes, it's revenge. Here's an example of these feuds... Emanuel Scott was shot and killed here on Elder. Yolanda Howard was charged the next day. Police say Scott's people sent two men to shoot Yolanda's sister in a drive-by in Over-The-Rhine. The Over-The-Rhine Chamber is doing more than planting window boxes. It's moving to have felons evicted.

Special units, such as Vortex, saturate Over-The-Rhine to try and stop violence and to look for those responsible for it. Today it's Antwan Dillard and Robert White, charged with shooting at Yolanda Howard's sister, and Howard is accused of murder.
Officer Jeff Butler, Vortex Unit: "This is where she hangs out, before the warrants anyway, she was hanging out here a couple of days ago."
Captain Wiesman says some things are happening that he can't talk about, similar to the Tot Lot Gang take down in the West End. The feds were in on the gun and drug investigation. The players have gone away for a very long time. Police officials say crime in the West End is down since the arrest of so-called Tot Lot Gang members a year ago.

David Turner
According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office... 10 to 15 juveniles were outside of a store trying to get adults to purchase alcohol for them. When deputies arrived, they approached Turner, who was there with his teenage son. Turner's family members say police asked Turner if he was buying alchohol for the teens. Turner denied the claims but deputies continued to question him. He asked officers if he was being arrested. According to his son, the officers said no.
Turner took his bag and began to walk away. His son say as he was walking he was hit in the back of the legs with a club by one of the officers. Turner fell over. His son says the bag he was carrying fell to the ground and the beer exploded. The next thing he heard were two shots being fired.
But according to the Sheriff's Department... the shots were fired because one of the officers was hit over the head with the items in the bag. His son says that never happened. The store had security video and that is being reviewed.
Meanwhile the deputy who shot Turner is currently on paid administrative leave as the investigation into the shooting continues.
Turner played for the Bengals from 1978 through 1980.

Police arrested the Bengals cornerback outside the Scene Ultra Lounge in Downtown Cincinnati. According to court documents, Jones had to be physically restrained by two officers to get him under arrest. A report says that while attempting to get him in handcuffs, he tightened his arms and pulled away. On a report for his charge of disorderly conduct, it states that Jones was asked repeatedly while inside the bar to calm down and exit. It also states that he repeatedly shouted profanities and waved his ar
ms violently.
Jones was booked around 3 a.m. Sunday and released several hours later. Later on Sunday, Jones posted on his Twitter account, "I have a right to my opinion and the bad part I don't drunk.... can't even take my girl out for her birthday." The first part of his tweet was deleted sometime Sunday night.
Because of the lockout, the Bengals cannot have any contact with Jones. The commissioner of the NFL has said the personal conduct policy still applies. If convicted, Jones could be suspended.

Willie Williams
Willie Williams of Newport, a highly-touted linebacker from Florida who played at the University of Louisville and Union College in Barbourville, Ky., was arrested last week for second-degree burglary in Fort Mitchell.
He is being held in the Kenton County Detention Center on $5,000 bond, and has a July 19 court date.
Charges are also going to be filed against him by Fort Thomas police for attempted burglary at a home in that town, said Fort Thomas Police Lt. Rich Whitford.
Williams, 26, attended Carol City High School in Miami where he was heavily recruited as one of the top linebackers in the nation. He signed in 2004 with the University of Miami and played as a red-shirt freshman in 2005. He left in 2006 and attended four schools in the next three years – West Los Angeles College, U of L, Glenville State College and Union.
In 2008, his senior year at Union, he was named to the All-Mid-South Conference East first team, set a single-season school record with 144 tackles, set a single-game school record with 22 tackles and received NAIA Defensive Player of the Week honors, according to the school’s website.
Several NFL teams scouted him prior to the 2009 NFL draft, but he went undrafted.
A Miami Herald article two years ago says Williams was arrested 12 times as a juvenile, and at least four times as an adult through 2009, including a marijuana possession charge at U of L that led to his dismissal from the team.
This latest arrest happened Friday after more than a week of detective work.
It began when a home in Fort Mitchell was burglarized in late June. Then on July 1, a woman in Fort Thomas alleged that a man tried to break into her home through the back door while she was there. When she opened the door, he said he was doing a survey for a company and left, Whitford said. Someone else jotted down his license plate number and called police.
When Fort Thomas and Fort Mitchell police compared notes, and also later found out that a neighbor of the burglarized home in Fort Mitchell wrote down a license number of a suspicious car in the area that matched the one in Fort Thomas, they put the pieces together, which led them to Williams.
Williams was arrested at his Newport home.
“He admitted he was at those residences,” said Fort Mitchell Police Det. Tim Berwanger. “At the residence here, he said he never went in, but was just canvassing the area trying to sell subscriptions” to a fitness center at which he worked. “At the residence in Fort Thomas, he said he wasn’t trying to break in, but may have knocked on the door too hard.”
Berwanger said the burglary charge is punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
Fort Mitchell Police Chief Jeff Eldridge said it is his understanding that by being in Kentucky, Williams may also be in violation of parole terms from a crime he committed in Georgia.

Cincinnati Police identify a suspected shooter in Over-The-Rhine. Police say 33 year old Jarrad Barge shot into a car containing a man, a woman, and two children on Thursday night.
The shooting happened near McMicken and Vine Streets. A man riding in the backseat was hit in the face with a bullet.
The woman driving the car lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a building near a firehouse. There were also two young children inside the car at the time. They were not injured.
The man has been taken to University Hospital. There has been no update on his condition and his name has not been released.
Police are now looking for Burge. The suspect was last seen in a silver 2004 Ford Explorer with an Ohio plate of FDA8636. This man is to be considered armed and dangerous but police haven't said if they have a motive for the shooting.

Cincinnati police say the suspect was after his ex-girlfriend, offering that cash to another woman to assault her.
Christopher Bullock, 34, is charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly agreeing to the third party arrangment.
It's not clear if that third person carried out her end of the bargain. Bullock was arrested Thursday night.
He is scheduled for a Friday morning arraignment.

33 year old Jarrad Burge is accused of shooting 38 year Raymond McElroy in the face and left hand while he sat in a car with two females and two toddlers. No one else in the car was injured because of the shooting, but the female driver is crash the car into the side of a building.
Burge was arrested Monday by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team without incident. He is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center, charged with felonious assault.

CINCINNATI -- Police said a man was shot and killed early Monday after he kicked in someone's front door.
Investigators said the man, Anthony Dodds, 20, broke down the door to a home about 2:45 a.m. on Glenwood Avenue in Avondale.
Dodds was fatally shot by another man on the front porch or inside the home, police said.

The gunman then fled in a white car, but police have not been able to track him down for questioning.
Police said they weren't sure why Dodds tried to break into the home.

Now, he's also a convicted felon who will spend the next year in prison and the next 25 years reporting as a sex offender after he had sex with a 15-year-old in a city building.
"He has led a great existence up to this point, (but) he did a bad thing here," Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Ruehlman said Tuesday in sending Banks, 27, to prison after he was convicted July 5 of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Banks, whose body shook as he faced the judge Tuesday, was a U.S. Marine who fought in the battle of Fallujah, earning an honorable discharge after a four-year hitch.
Banks, who had no criminal record before this incident, was on the Lincoln Heights Fire Department when he met the girl, who was working at City Hall in a special program for teens.
When confronted about the girl's allegations, Banks admitted he had sex with her - and gave her $300 to help her out. The girl told authorities it was to pay for an abortion, but she lied and never was pregnant.
"I am truly heart-broken over this case on both ends," Banks told the judge.
Several witnesses spoke Tuesday about what a fine man Banks was and how much he helped others. The judge admitted Banks was a decent man but said someone in his position knew not to have sex with the girl, who testified at Banks' criminal trial.
"She sounds like she was about 12 or 11, (has) this little voice," the judge said. "He knew he shouldn't have been messing with her."
"You're supposed to rescue us and help us. It's just so improper."
Banks also was a part-time firefighter in Lockland.

This shouldn't be surprising. As the criminals are pushed out of OTR they are looking for new places to operate. Recent violence in Covington, west end, westwood, and avondale are an effect of the changes in OTR. There will be more of this ahead. I think that mt. auburn and clifton will be able to push back and keep the criminals on the move to still other areas, but the neighborhoods with the least community involvement such as westwood, avondale and even covington should be very worried.

Police say 20 year old Mario White climbed onto the roof of the United Dairy Farmers on Springfield Pike in Springdale on Wednesday and then used aluminum foil to cover the satellite dish. The foil blocks the signal to credit card companies.
Police say after the dish was covered, an accomplice, 41 year old Tyrone Montgomery went into the store and purchased two gift cards and some other items using two different debit cards.
Undercover officers say they saw the whole scam go down and they approached White and the man who was driving their car, 42 year old Altonio Coleman. Coleman allowed police to search his vehicle-officers say they found 17 other gift and debit cards in the trunk. Coleman then admitted to police that the trio drove to Cincinnati to commit fraud. Coleman also admitted to using the same aluminum foil scam to buy gift cards from the UDF on Queen City-they were using those cards to pay for a hotel room.
Coleman, Montgomery and White all face a number of charges- including theft. Coleman and White are behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Center. A warrant has been issued for Montgomery's arrest.

Croley said the football team met at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the school and several members of the team have visited Williams at the hospital.
�We rallied together; we are a family,� Croley said. �There were a lot of teammates that have been down to see him.�
It is the second straight summer the Princeton football program has dealt with significant adversity off the field. Jovante Woods, the 16-year-old son of former Bengals running back Ickey Woods, died in mid-August 2010 three days after collapsing at his home from an asthma attack.
In December 2009, senior defensive back Ryan Sawyer died in a car accident.
Croley said the team is �hoping and praying� for the best for Williams. �We know he is a fighter; we are here to support him and the family,� Croley said.

Brandon Tolbert
A Hamilton County Grand Jury indicted 23 year old Brandon Tolbert on five counts of rape, as well as gross sexual imposition, three counts of aggravated burglary and public indecency.
Local 12 News was the first to tell you about these attacks on the West side. Prosecutors say Tolbert sexually assaulted at least two women at knife point the Aspen Village Apartment Complex in Westwood in June. Other attacks happened at the Villages of Roll Hill- formerly known as the Fay Apartments-in North Fairmount.
Tolbert has been behind bars since June 26th. Prosecutors haven't said how they ended up tying Tolbert to the rapes.

The man showed up at District Three Police Headquarters on Warsaw Avenue in East Price Hill around 2:30 a.m. Friday. He had been shot in the leg.
He told officers three people inside car fired shots at him on Enright Avenue... which is nearby. Police are still looking for the suspects.

Shooting victim drives into house, dies
WESTWOOD, Ohio - Cincinnati Police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday night on the 2200 block of Harrison Ave. in Westwood.
Capt. Andrew Raabe says two black males had got into an argument at the intersection of Fenton Ave. and Harrison Ave. shortly before 9 p.m. Raabe says the argument escalated and shots were fired.
Police say 33-year-old Priest Huffaker was injured and left the scene in a SUV but only made it about a half a mile before crashing into a nearby house.
Huffaker was taken to University Hospital and later died from his injuries.
Also inside the SUV were a female passenger and an 18-month-old child. Police say they suffered minor injuries.
Police have not identified the victims and have not taken anyone into custody.
Police say the shooter was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue shorts and possibly a red bandana.
Police had K-9 units on the scene searching for the suspect and any other pieces of evidence.

CINCINNATI -- Police said officers arrested a naked woman after a stabbing on Park Avenue.
Officers said the incident started when the woman got intoxicated at home and started arguing with her boyfriend.
Detectives said the fight escalated and the woman stabbed the man with a butcher knife in the stomach.
Paramedics said he was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
Police said when they found the woman, she was completely naked.
No other details have been released.

Lamar Williams
Lamar Williams, 18, passed away Sunday at University Hospital four days after he was shot near his Springdale home. He was gunned down at the Willows Apartments on Chesterdale Circle in the early morning hours of July 20, police have said.
The would-be senior and two-year starter on Princeton’s football team was struck in the back of the neck and had been on life-support.
There is a news conference scheduled for 3 p.m.
"This is heartbreaking but our kids know how much we love them and support them,” said Tom O’Neill, school district spokesman. “We consider ourselves a family at Princeton. Families come together in times of tragedy.”
Vikings football coach Gary Croley and others from Princeton were with family members at the hospital, according to a statement on the school’s website. School officials also met with about 40 students Saturday to help them grieve.
The school district plans to hold several fundraisers, including a car wash soon in the high school parking lot.
No suspects have been identified or arrested in the shooting. Springdale police did not immediately return a call for comment Monday. They have not said what led up to the shooting, or if the teen was targeted.
Williams split classroom time between Princeton and Scarlet Oaks Career Development Campus in Sharonvillle, according to the school district. He was expected to graduate next year.
It is the second straight summer the Princeton football program has dealt with significant adversity off the field. Jovante Woods, the 16-year-old son of former Bengals running back Ickey Woods, died in mid-August 2010 three days after collapsing at his home from an asthma attack.
In December 2009, senior defensive back Ryan Sawyer died in a car accident.

Black Quartet
COLUMBIA-TUSCULUM� Columbia Parkway, one of the city's main traffic arteries, was shut down during the morning rush because someone fired shots out of a home between Delta and Tusculum avenues about 4:30 a.m.
While rush hour traffic backed up on nearby Eastern Avenue and U.S. 52, a SWAT team surrounded the home at 3571 Columbia Parkway and took four people into custody about 3 1/2 hours later, allowing the road to reopen about 8 a.m.
The shooting unnerved neighbors and nearby business owners.
Two windows were shattered at the Gymboree, an early child development center, at 3549 Columbia Parkway. No one was reported injured.
Cincinnati Police Lt. Stuart Koeppe said they didn't know what prompted the gunfire.
"They are young kids. I don�t know what caused them to do something stupid like this to shut down a community," Koeppe said.
Police were still searching the building as of 9 a.m. and talking to the four suspects. No charges had been filed.
Koeppe said an officer on routine patrol heard two gunshots about 4:30 a.m. Police quickly moved in and sealed off the area.
"It was fortunate we had a police officer in the area," Koeppe said.
About 5:30 a.m., officers attempted to speak with two men who emerged from a residence where the gunshots were initially reported, according to emergency communication reports.
Officers ordered the men, who appeared to be in their late teens, to show their hands. They ignored the commands and ran back inside, shutting off the lights, reports state.
The SWAT team arrived at 6:30 a.m., about 90 minutes after the incident began.
Some media outlets reported that a police cruiser window was shot out, but Cincinnati Police Lt. Alan March said that did not occur.
Initially, police warned residents nearby to remain indoors, but that advisory was soon lifted.
Marquita Stoddard, 31, her husband and their 19-month-old son Ethan live next door to the home that was surrounded by SWAT. She said the men who live there are normally quiet.
"We just moved here from further up Eastern Avenue to get away from drug sales down there, and now this. Our kids play out here. It was so quiet and nice until this. I guess everywhere you go you've got idiots in the world," Stoddard said.
She said her husband, Scott Stoddard, 34, was tackled and handcuffed by police when he left to go to work about 4:30 a.m. He is a maintenance worker at a nearby McDonald's.
"They handcuffed him and shined their light on his hands to see if they had gunpowder on them," she said.
Her husband was permitted to leave shortly after that when police determined he was not involved.
Business owners were surprised to wake up to reports of gunfire in the normally quiet area. It has been recently developed as a commercial center.
"I am shocked. Since this development has come in, it has been quiet here," said Marianne Kurtinitis, owner of Kurtinitis Fine Furniture, 3561 Columbia Parkway.

Police say Maupin and Penter fired shots from the balcony of Maupin's home on Columbia Parkway around 4 a.m., shattering the glass of the Gymboree store. No one was hurt.
An officer patrolling the area heard the shots, went to the area and called for the SWAT team. Maupin, who lives in the home, came out voluntarily to speak with police. Penter and two others were initially taken into custody for questioning. The other two people were released without charges.
Officers tell us they also recovered several firearms from inside the home. At first, investigators believed a high powered rifle may have been used, but now believe it was a smaller caliber handgun.
Police did have to close Columbia Parkway for more than three hours. It reopened just after 8 a.m.

Officers said the victim was at home during the burglary and personally identified the suspect.
"We actually caught the guy. If I wasn't home, he would have robbed my apartment, (the one) downstairs and upstairs," the victim said.
Police arrested Glenn Gulley, 57, who they said was someone they know well due to past arrests. It was Gulley's 28th felony arrest.
The Cincinnati Police Department said that Gulley has a rap sheet dating back more than 10 years.
Giving only the name "Natalie," the victim said she's thankful Gulley has been caught, but she's still scared in her own home.
"Now the scariest part is; 'What if he had a knife and what if he had a gun?' He could have shot me. I'm totally freaked out all day," Natalie said.
Police said that Gulley was only able to get away with the jewelry he could carry. They said officers recovered most of it, but a few sentimental items are still missing.
Natalie said she wants something done to make her neighborhood safer.
"I really would like them to make sure our locks work properly, we have better locks on our doors, and I'd like an alarm system for our building," Natalie said.
CPD said that Gulley will face a judge Thursday morning.

Springdale police say Sullivan, Williams, and the third unidentified man robbed three people at gunpoint at the Willows Apartments on Chesterdale Court at 3:00 am. on Wednesday, July 20th. Police say as they ran from the scene, the gun went off, sending a bullet into Williams neck.
Williams, a two-year starter at safety on the Princeton football team, remained on life support at University Hospital until Sunday, when he died.
Lamar split classroom time between Princeton and Live Oaks Career Development Campus in Sharonville. He was a member of the Princeton Class of 2012.
Sullivan was arrested on Wednesday night and is charged with murder and aggravated robbery. She is behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Lamar Williams, 18, was shot in the neck by fellow robbery suspect Tiana Sullivan, 22, of Fairfield, about 3 a.m. July 20 at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Chesterdale Court near his home, police wrote in a sworn affidavit filed Wednesday in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
As Williams, Sullivan and a third juvenile male fled the robbery, Sullivan shot Williams in the back of the neck, according to court records. The 17-year-old ran off, but Sullivan drove Williams to the hospital. He died Sunday.
Springdale police did not state in court records if the shooting was intentional or an accident. When Sullivan was arraigned Thursday on felony charges of murder and aggravated robbery, her lawyer, Jeff Adams, said the shooting was an accident.
Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Cheryl Grant ordered Sullivan held in lieu of $300,000 bond. Adams said his client did not have the money to make bond.
He asked the judge for a lower bond, citing her minor criminal record previously and the fact that she drove the victim to the hospital and turned herself in to authorities.
Williams� death has struck the Princeton school community and football team hard. This is the third year in a row the team has lost a teammate.
Williams dreamed of playing football in the NFL. Notre Dame was one of the schools scouting him. He would have been a senior this fall and was credited with once saving a junior high school classmate from choking by performing the Heimlich maneuver on him.
The third robbery suspect also was arrested Wednesday and held overnight at the Hamilton County juvenile detention facility. He confessed his involvement to police, court records show.
Williams� mother said Thursday she was relieved arrests have been made in her son�s slaying. But Nigail Davis, of Colerain Township, refused to discuss the new details of the case, including her son�s alleged involvement in an armed robbery.
Sullivan�s family declined comment.
Princeton school officials have not responded to requests for comment.

The latest attack just last night was near the intersection of Warner and Wheeler Streets. Local 12's Rich Jaffe says the other reason the thieves are on bikes is they're too young to drive.
The victim reportedly came out of the house around 1:30 a.m. Thursday and began walking uphill. Friends believe the teenage thieves on bicycles spotted him when he came out of the house and then trailed him until they caught up with him, waving a gun and telling him to get on the ground. "These are younger juveniles from what I understand, probably 14 to 15, 16 years of age. One of them brandished a weapon which he described as a handgun with a silencer, which is kind of rare."
While he was on the ground, the victim, a UC student, was also kicked in the eye by the gun-wielding suspect. All the thieves took was his cell phone. Other students who live in the area say robberies have become so common place, that when UC sends out emails about them, the warnings almost go unnoticed. "Like during the school year every other day, every day we'll get an email about another robbery going on anywhere around campus. It's crazy."
"Even last year in my old apartment, I got broken into three times there. My parents house has been broken into several times, it's just kind of become the norm, so it's something you kind of expect, unfortunately."
Police say the thieves were riding small BMX or trick bikes. Immediately after the robbery, they took off down Wheeler Street on their bikes. Aware of the teenage bandits, police worked quickly to set a snare. "We've gotten to the point as soon as these come out if we do have a description the adjacent districts are notified right away. It was the case last night, District One units and District Four units on the East were coming up on the borders, sealing up any escape routes we had." But they missed.

DAYTON -- Dayton police announced on Friday that the death of a burglary suspect who jumped from a southwest Ohio bridge after escaping authorities has been ruled a suicide.
The Dayton Daily News reported that the Montgomery County Coroner's Office determined the death of 20-year-old Kylen English was a suicide after reviewing evidence, including video and medical reports.
The newspapers reported that community members raised questions about whether police had drugged English or used a stun gun on him after they viewed a police released video of English using his head to break a police cruiser window while in custody and escaping before jumping to his death last month.
The coroner's office said there is no evidence of drugs or stun-gun wounds, but some of English's relatives believe he was stunned and beaten.
Dayton police, the sheriff's office and the FBI are investigating the death.

Authorities say the two were shot multiple times at around 4 p.m. Monday after they became involved in an argument with several people. They were taken to a local hospital where Allison, 31, died of his injuries and Malcolm Goff, 36, was treated and released.
Allison played at the University of Kentucky from 1998-2000. In his last season he averaged 8.9 points per game and 4.4 rebounds.
Police say they have no suspects and are continuing their investigation.

A just released study from the Pew Research Center reporting a record high wealth gap between whites and blacks should have been labeled "handle with care."
Because care is needed to examine the complex reality behind the fact that "median wealth of white households is 20 times that of black households...." And without care, this information will be abused and misused by those in the race business as another excuse to claim racism and demand exactly what blacks, or any of us, do not need -- more government.
And, indeed, Al Sharpton has already announced plans for protest in Washington, along with the statement: "For those who think we live in some sort of post-racial society, I have news for you: we're anything but."
For one thing, "median wealth" should not be confused with "average wealth." "Median" is simply the number right in the middle -- there are an equal number of households with higher and an equal number with lower wealth. Average wealth accounts for the actual wealth of those households and reflects the fact, not reflected in the median number, that there are a good number of well-to-do black households.
So whereas median white household wealth is 20 times higher than median black household wealth, average white household wealth is 3 times higher than average black household wealth.
The racially tinged headline obscures the deeper reality of what is driving the growing wealth gap. That is that over the period of the study, 2005-09, the gap between those with more wealth and those with less has increased for the whole country.
In fact, over this period, the gap between the most wealthy and least wealthy blacks became more pronounced than the gap between the most wealthy and least wealthy whites.
In 2005, the top ten percent wealthy black families represented 56 percent of overall black wealth. By 2009, this top ten percent represented 67 percent of overall black wealth.
You have to wonder what kind of racial claims Al Sharpton will make about this.
All this is not to minimize a genuine problem. Far more important than where black wealth stands relative to white wealth is the fact that median, or average, black wealth is far less than it should be.
That 35 percent of all black households have zero or negative wealth (net indebtedness) is dismally sad.
What to do?
If there are any public policy implications, it is not to expand government, but to remove it as obstacle to black wealth creation.
At the most basic level, black children need to get better education and this means giving black parents choice to send their children wherever they want to school.
A better-educated black population will mean a higher income earning black population. But income alone is a limited tool for creating wealth. Wealth is created through savings, investment, and entrepreneurship. And blacks lag far behind in each category.
The Pew study shows that the major destruction of wealth from 2005-09 resulted from the collapse of housing prices. Blacks suffered disproportionately because black net worth has been almost entirely in their homes.
The idea of allowing of allowing investment in a personal retirement account rather than paying the Social Security payroll tax would be a boon to building black wealth.
But when President Bush suggested the personal retirement account idea, NAACP chairman Julian Bond said this was asking blacks "to play the lottery with their future."
A life of government guarantees and controls is not a formula for building wealth. Freedom and capital markets are. Blacks need to decide which they want.
And entrepreneurship must become part of black culture. Blacks need to get that poor people are not poor because rich people are rich.
The formula for more black wealth: less government, more ownership and initiative.

The 28 year old victim, whose name has not yet been released, collapsed in front of his cousin's car at Benton and Vine Streets. He'd been shot several times in the chest. Paramedics rushed the man to University Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
Witnesses say there were two gunmen. They only have a vague description, but say they looked about 16-years-old.
Police found blood in an alley nearby, but no shell casings. So, officers believe he may have been shot with a revolver.

CINCINNATI -- Police are investigating a shooting in Over-the-Rhine that seriously wounded a man Thursday night.
Officers said some men came to the intersection of Vine and Green streets to pick up their cousin just before 9:30 p.m., but arrived to find the man laying on the ground.
Police said the man had been shot several times in the chest. He was rushed to University Hospital for treatment. His name and condition have not been released.
Witnesses said the gunmen were a pair of 16-year-old boys.

CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati police said they are looking for two men who robbed a Family Dollar store in Camp Washington.
On July 23, police said two men were captured by surveillance cameras as they entered the store at 6:20 p.m.
Officers said the video showed the two men, with their faces partially covered by their T-shirts, robbing the store at gunpoint.
According to police, the first man, who was wearing white T-shirt and shorts, pointed a handgun at the store clerk and customers and demanded money.
The second man, who was dressed in black T-shirt and jeans, took money from the register, officers said.
Police said they are hoping the public would be able to help them identify the two men.

The restaurant stays open until five a.m. on the weekends. Just an hour before closing Saturday morning, a man walked in and ordered a philly cheesesteak and chicken strips. But the owner quickly realized he wanted much more than fast food. "He put the gun in my head."
In that moment, Ali Haaj thought his life was over. "I'm thinking that's the last day of my life you know. Because he can shoot you, he can shoot all of us."
Haaj quickly opened the cash drawer and allowed the suspect to empty his safe. Then, while the suspect loaded dimes, nickles and dollar bills into plastic carry out bags... Haaj grabbed his gun and snuck out the back door. He crouched behind a delivery van waiting for the suspect to walk out. "When he come outside, I'm trying to stop him, I told him to freeze, don't move."
But the suspect didn't stop - instead he started shooting, hitting the van. Haaj didn't back off. "Five feet between me and him, I shoot him in the legs."
Haaj says the suspect tried to take off with $4000 in cash and two carry out meals. He didn't make it far. Employees of the Hook Fish and Chicken held him until police arrived. Haaj says he could have killed the suspect - but instead he wanted to give him the opportunity to repent. "I hope he will be a nice guy who doesn't do bad stuff no more."
Haaj has run the Hook Fish and Chicken restaurant for six years. This was the first time he's been robbed.
The suspect was taken to University Hospital for treatment. No word yet on his name or charges.
Haaj did get his money back. He tells us his delivery van will need major repairs because one of the bullets went through the radiator.

Hamilton police responded to calls about shots fired in the area of J & J Bar, located at 316 S. 2nd Street around 2:30 a.m. While police investigated the scene, a 32-year-old man checked-in at Fort Hamilton Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm.
Through investigation, police were able to identify a vehicle and suspect description as well as the suspect’s direction of travel. Ohio State Highway patrol identified the suspect traveling northbound on I-75 in Franklin and stopped the vehicle.
Hamilton police officers took three suspects into custody for further questioning. Police have not released the names of the suspects.
The Hamilton Police Department is investigating the incident and will release more information as it becomes available.

A shooting victim who refuses to cooperate with the police investigation into his attack is making the search for the gunman even more difficult for officers.
Cincinnati Police say a man showed up at an apartment building on Williamsburg Drive in North Fairmount around 1:30 this morning. He'd had been shot in the abdomen. But police say he refuses to tell them anything about the shooting or the gunman-detectives are not even sure where the attack happened.
The victim was taken to the hospital. His injuries are said to be survivable. His name has not been released.

According to court documents, the 79 year old victim hired 49 year old Carl Morris in June to remove an oak tree from his yard in college hill. Police say, he wrote Morris two checks, totaling $2,500. Morris apparently told the victim he needed the money to rent a crane to remove the tree.
The victim claims Morris never did any work. He is now behind bars in the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Police said Amanda Borsos was shot and killed Aug. 3 by her ex-boyfriend, Troy Penn, in Deerfield Township. It was Borsos' 17th birthday.
The fliers were left on cars in the area where Borsos was killed. The fliers were addressed to "White Parents," with a headline that read, "Don't Let Your Daughters Date Blacks, It Might Be A Matter Of Life And Death."

"Some bigot came in the middle of the night, skulking in the middle of the night, putting this on people's cars," said resident Greg Stanforth.
The flier specifically references Borsos. "Last week another young white woman learned too late that the 'wonders' of diversity are not what they are made out to be by the establishment," read the flier.
At the bottom of the fliers is a phone number and website address for the National Alliance, a white separatist political organization.
The fliers, which were dotted with racial slurs, came as a shocking reminder to some residents that racism is not dead.
"I thought this stuff belonged in the 1950s with the (Ku Klux Klan)," Stanforth said. "I cannot imagine how it must hurt these people to see how their tragedy is being utilized for somebody else's hate."

DOWNTOWN - Two writers for MLB.com were robbed at gunpoint outside Great American Ball Park early Tuesday, according to media reports.
The writers, Barry Bloom and Thomas Harding, were approached by a
black man armed with a gun about 1:30 a.m. just outside the media entrance and exit off Pete Rose Way, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Both men had their credit cards stolen. Bloom lost $500 in cash and Harding was robbed of $100, the paper reports.

"I thought the guy was a fan as he approached, but he said, 'We can do this the easy way or the hard way,'" Bloom told DDN writer Hal McCoy. "I started to walk away and he began yelling at me and pulled this big gun that looked like a Glock. He said, 'Put your wallets on the ground.' We did and he picked them up and ran off."
Media parking for a limited number of reporters is a block away from the ball park in a different structure. Most visiting writers stay either downtown or just over the river in Northern Kentucky and walk to their hotels or take a cab.

Shawn Johnson is accused of shooting a man on Delhi Pike. The 19-year-old is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center. Police found the victim in a parking lot on Delhi Pike near Fairbanks Avenue on July 18th. The man had been shot in the chest. He survived the shooting.
Officers did get help from witnesses at the scene. Neighbors have been taking the recent crime spree seriously, even meeting with police on Wednesday night to get ideas on how to take back their neighborhood. Local 12's Paula Toti went to the meeting too.
In this district, robberies are down 41 percent, thefts from autos more than 10 percent and breaking and entering down 17 percent. Still the recent shooting show there's a lot of work to be done. But neighbors are still scared. One told us, "Someone got shot right in front of my house."
Another says, "I hear gunshots every night, don't know where they are coming from ... but every night."
Neighbors say those shots are coming more frequently in the last five years as the bad housing market has left boarded up homes in its wake. At Wednesday night's meeting, residents shared ideas for searching out landlords ... and holding someone accountable for damage and they got ideas for working with police and citizens on patrol. "It's pretty sad when I can't take my granddaughter out .. bullets are ten feet away from where she sleeps."
The residents were told to not ask why people are behaving the way they do ... only how they can try to take back their neighborhood. There's a neighborhood meeting the second Wednesday of every month at the Community Building on Steiner and many people who live in Sedamsville plan to regularly attend those meetings.
Police also told neighbors not to be discouraged. Sometimes it takes them a while to make an arrest - but that doesn't mean they're not actively investigating a crime.

The driver, who was hit in the chin and shoulder, was able to drive herself to District 3 headquarters on Warsaw Avenue in West Price Hill about 1 a.m., according to police.
Investigators think she was attacked on Grand Avenue in East Price Hill.
The driver, 29, told police she did not know her assailants.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Chanell Cephas, works for Ron's Cab.
Cephas showed up at District 3 headquarters sometime after 1 a.m. with gunshot wounds to her mouth and left shoulder.
While paramedics worked on Cephas, officers tried to figure out what happened. But because of her injuries, Cephas had difficulty giving officers much information about the shooting.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Police said the shooting happened at 750 Grand Ave. Officers suspect the shooting may have happened during a robbery.
Police have not named any suspects in the shooting. They asked that anyone who may have seen a Ron's Cab company vehicle

Deputy Michael Kane attempted to pull over a stolen 2010 Suzuki Kizshashi with a Kentucky license plate in the 5100 block of Colerain Avenue Thursday, sheriff's officials said.
The drive refused to stop and fled at about 35 mph into the Hawaiian Terrace apartment complex.
The low-speed chase lasted only two minutes, but ended in a crash into a hand railing at 5127 Hawaiian Terrace. Three men bailed from the car and ran off.
Kane was able to apprehend one of them. The other two remain at large.

2 Suspects Still Being Sought

CINCINNATI -- Hamilton County sheriff's deputies were involved in a pursuit that ended in a crash in Hawaiian Terrace.
Deputies tried to stop a stolen 2010 Buick in the 5100 block of Colerain Avenue when the vehicle tried to get away, deputies said.
The chase, which lasted only two minutes and only reached 35 mph, ended when the vehicle crashed into a hand railing at 5127 Hawaiian Terrace.
Bryant Johnson
Three people inside the car fled. Deputies were able to apprehend one of the suspects, identified as Bryant Johnson, 19.
Deputies said Johnson was a passenger in the vehicle. He was charged with obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies used K-9 officers to search for the other two occupants of the car, but were not able to find them.
Anyone with information about the pursuit was asked to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.

White's Facebook page, though, also was important to police, who used it to arrest White for two crimes that resulted Wednesday in him being sent to prison.
White, 19, was convicted of two counts of robbery in two separate cases. In exchange for White's guilty pleas, Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Jocelyn Chess dismissed two other charges.
The cases against White were similar. On Jan. 30, White rushed at a woman in the parking lot of her Colerain Township apartment complex, knocked her to the ground and used a gun to rob her while threatening to kill her.
In the second case, White charged another woman as she was in a Walnut Hills parking lot in the early morning hours of July 4. White knocked her down, punched her in the face several times and took her car keys, threatening to kill her. He drove away in her car, which also contained her purse and cell phone.
Hughes called police. Hours later, they found her car Downtown. It still had her purse in it. They also found her cellphone.
When she opened her cell phone, she saw it had on its screen a Facebook page that wasn't hers.
"She said, 'Wait a minute, this is the guy who robbed me. That's the guy,' " Chess said. "While he had the phone, (White) was logging in to his Facebook page."
Using information from that social networking site, police quickly tracked down White and arrested him.
Common Pleas Court Judge Jerome Metz Jr. sent White to prison for five years.
