The UK tabloid paper "The Sun" reports today: (14/01/99)

Sex beast 'murdered' by victim - by Jamie Pyatt

A sex abuse victim waited 20 years to take revenge on the man who preyed
on him by throwing him off a cliff to his death, a court heard
yesterday.
Labourer Christopher Thomas, 32, allegedly spotted 64-year old
homosexual Edwin Wilcox in a fish and chip shop. He then lured him into
his car with a promise of sex.
Thomas then drove Wilcox to a remote cliff on the Isle of Wight and
allowed him a prayer before allegedly kicking him over the edge.
Prosecutor, Mr Anthony Donne QC, told Winchester Crown Court: "He said
Mr Wilcox didn't say he was sorry. He just begged for mercy - and that
upset Thomas. He said that if Mr Wilcox had said he was sorry he would
have left him. But it seemed to Thomas that he was purely and solely
interested in himself"

Thomas allegedly later told police that Wilcox asked if he was goig to
kill him and that he replied "yes" He was said to have told them "I
hate him for what he did. All my life I have been saying I'll kill the
bastard for what he did to me and I actually went out and did it"

Afterwards he "went home, had a cup of tea and a good nights sleep"

The court heard how Thomas confided in former social worker Sonia
Hackett, who then called the police.
Wilcox's body was never recovered, but a Portsmouth FC scarf with some
of his hair stuck to it was found halfway down Culver Cliff.
The court was told Wilcox, of Ryde, Isle of Wight, was a promiscuous
homosexual with a criminal record. Thomas claims he was abused by him
between the ages of 11 and 16. He was later paid for sex by Wilcox.
Thomas, also of Ryde, denies the murder in January last year. The case
continues.

A rational response to many years of abuse, I would say yes!
If he did it then you can see that he only held one person accountable
for his abuse. i.e the abuser!

Another murder case where a body has never been found, relying on a
suspects confession. It'll be interesting to see how this case goes!

Hmmmm..... I find the above line in the story very intriguing. Wilcox paid
for sex with Thomas ? Sounds to me like Thomas may have been a trick scorned.
It will be interesting to see what happens. Keep us updated if you can.
