The Tacoma Morning News-Tribune this morning (1/25/97) reported
from an AP wire story that the Boulder PD has questioned the Ramseys'
FORMER nanny who took care of John Ramsey's children from his first
marriage to Cindy. The nanny, Mrs. Brady, says that John and Cindy
divorced when their daughters were about JonBenet's age. The police
asked Mrs. Brady if any of the first-marriage children (John Andrew,
Elizabeth, or Melinda) were abused.

Isn't this interesting? Now why would the police ask questions
like that unless they had a reason to think that the same persons who had
abused JonBenet also had access to the three older children.

Someone on this group (was it Betsy?) even suggested that the
very reason for John and Cindy's divorce was his possible abuse of the
first children. I thought that it was kind of stretch then, but now, I
am beginning to reconsider. Too bad that one of them is dead and can't
do any talking. Isn't that convenient?

Heeheeheehee. You know the TNT. If it bleeds, it leads! The
folks over at the Globe could learn a few things from us Tacomans.

Seriously, though, at least I'm making a conscious effort to cite
the source of my facts. And I believe I said that the article was not
written by the Trib, but instead was an AP wire story.

Hahahaha. Did you graduate from my school when it was still
UPS? I kind of still wish it was; it would save me a lot of trouble
explaining to people what school I go to. And what REALLY pisses me off
is that next year's class will get to be in the new building up on the
main campus of SU, while my class will have the questionable distinction
of being the last class to spend all three years in the renovated
department-store building in Downtown Tacoma. Yuck.

Rose, that's a good point, but only if John Andrew was in Boulder
on December 25 and 26th. I think that both Pat Korten and the Boulder PD
have confirmed that he was in Georgia with his mom and older sister
Melinda. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe that she died in a car acident. You can find an excerp on
this at http://cnn.com/US/9701/11/slain.girl.update/transcript.html.
Hope this answers your question.....

His oldest daughter was killed in a car accident during a snow storm
in Chicago (where she was attending college) 5 years ago. There's
nothing sinister about it. It was a tragedy, and certainly not
convenient as suggested in another post.
