|PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A man wanted for possession of child
|pornography turned himself in Thursday to Port St. Lucie police.
|
|Mark Pamer, 39, 1348 SW Prairie Circle in Port St. Lucie, was wanted
|on charges of possession of 10 or more images of child pornography,
|according to an arrest affidavit from the St. Lucie Sheriff�s Office.
|
|Pamer, a pulmonologist, has a previous arrest for domestic battery
|from May of this year. Until this week he had practiced medicine at
|Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Ft. Pierce and St. Lucie Medical
|Center in Port St. Lucie, according to Ginger King, spokesperson for
|the hospitals.
|
|She said Dr. Pamer was �no longer on out staff� and that the hospital
|�is cooperating with local authorities.�
|
|Both hospitals are property of Nashville, Tennesee-based HCA Hospital
|Corporation of America.
|
|In addition to practicing medicine in Florida, Dr. Pamer is licensed
|to practice medicine in Illinois.
|
|Pamer posted bond of $100,000.
