We have a 2016 F-450. Looking at an 5th wheel RV with electric over hydraulic disc brakes. I know the new Fords are compatible. Can anyone tell me if the 2016 is also compatible or will we have problems? Thanks for any help with this.

Ford trucks, like the 2016 F-450, are typically compatible with electric over hydraulic brake controllers, which are commonly found on 5th wheel RVs. However, it's important to check the specific specifications of the brake controller and the truck to ensure compatibility.

One way to check compatibility is to refer to the vehicle owner's manual or consult with a Ford dealership to see if the 2016 F-450 is compatible with electric over hydraulic brake controllers. They will be able to provide you with the necessary information and may also have recommendations for compatible brake controllers.

Another way to check compatibility is to look for the brake controller's compatibility list, most manufacturers of brake controllers have a list of vehicles that their product is compatible with, you can check that list to see if your 2016 F-450 is listed.

It's also important to note that Ford trucks in the 2016 model year may have different packages and options that affect the brake controller compatibility. For example, the F-450 may have been equipped with a factory-installed brake controller, which would make it compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes.

In summary, the 2016 F-450 is likely to be compatible with electric over hydraulic brake controllers, but it's best to check with the vehicle owner's manual, consult with a Ford dealership, or check the brake controller's compatibility list to be certain.
