Is there still a big difference in the mileage between the Auto and a properly operated Standard, or is that a thing of the past by now?

Standards if used properly can achieve better use of the engine. Often there is mileage difference. My auto has a lot of mods and I drive the thing like I stole it. I have heard stories of folks with 3.73 gears getting over 20 mpg with a manual trans. Chet Botkins "RLB" <sand...@fuse.net> wrote in message news:u82gfpp...@corp.supernews.com...
