Sometimes a good repair manual for that specific model helps. I've gotten a lot
of good information out of a Chiltons or a Haynes manual.
But off the top of my head, F-350's GVWR was 9200 lbs. with single rear wheels;
4.10 was the most common and maybe the only gear ratio available, with limited
slip as an option in the rear; a solid Dana 60 front axle starting in 1986;
Ford full floating or Dana 60 out back; EFI on 351's (200-210 hp and 300-315
lb/ft) and 460's (around 240 hp and 385-405 lb/ft) starting in model year 1988.
Transmissions were the C-6 (earlier) or the AOD for automatics and the Warner
T-18 or the New Process 435 4-speeds manuals. Transfer cases were the Borg
Warner 1345 2-speed.
Hope this helps a little. Happy Holidays!
