98 Blazer power window

A couple days ago, the power window started acting strangely. It would get to the bottom, and then make loud klunks, and keep going.

Today it stopped going up, or down. Took the door panel off. Find the motor was (aftermarket motor from 2011) held on with three screws, all had fallen into the panellling.

Two went into threaded inserts. One was loose. Sub a 1/4-20 by inch phillips head screw. Took some doing, to get the nut on the end.

Window works again.

Thanks. I'm glad that worked out. The window isn't
totally perfect now, but it does go down and up.
