Anyway, they come in by the thousands. Not really
hostile, but they WILL snatch your stuff/food if
they want. Some of the locals pacify them by
handing out yummies.

Ya know, maybe this is a good, just, thing. It
really really looks like WE killed-off all the
Neanderthals "just because". H.Erectus vanished
too about the time humans became prolific in
Africa and beyond. Two successful subspecies,
hundreds of thousands of years history, ZAP.

Likely the memory of the Neanderthals lives on
in tales of "trolls" - the rough physical
description matches. In any case it looks like
we kinda OWE the other, cousin, primate branches
of the family .....
