Hi

My wife and I are due to fly from Heathrow to Madrid next Tuesday
afternoon (27th Oct) with Iberia, as the first leg of a Round the
World trip (the next leg being Madrid - Santiago, Chile: departing
from Madrid 00:10 Wednesday 28th).

I have just been informed by Iberia that our flight to Madrid has been
cancelled due to a strike by cabin crew and we have been rescheduled
on a later flight, which apparently is still running, as is the onward
flight, Madrid-Santiago - the later flight from Heathrow to Madrid
should still give us more than enough time in Madrid (2 hrs) to catch
the Chile flight and Iberia say there should be no problems - call me
cynical, but they would say that wouldn't they!!!.

This is the first I have heard of an Iberia cabin crew strike, does
anybody have any further info; and should I be worried about my
booking - i.e. is it likely to escalate and can I assume that the
flights that are still running will be more or less on time (as much
as one can assume anything with airline timetables that is!!!).

Regards
