Note: Domestic to international transfer passengers will only be
charged once, which will be the domestic PSC applicable at point of
origin/departure
The following exemptions apply to the charging of PSCs:
1. Infants 2 years old or under not occupying a seat.
2. Flights operated by Logan Air (BA Flights 8840-8999) are exempt
from the collection of arrival/departure charges.
3. Operating crew, crew positioning for duty within 72 hours provided
travelling on 100 percent rebated tickets.
4. Airline staff carried free and to be engaged within 72 hours with
regard to aircraft related engineering safety, security or public
hygiene matters.
5. Airline staff positioning for or travelling as on board medical,
unaccompanied minor escorts or couriers.
6. Transfer Passengers: The PSC applicable at the UK transfer airport
will not be charged for:
-- passengers ticketed on international transfer connections within
24 hours on international to international, domestic to international
and international to domestic connections.
--Passengers ticketed on wholly UK domestic transfer connections
within 6 hours. (The transfer point exemptions will not apply to
separately ticketed transfer routings even though both tickets are
issued in connection).
7. Transfer passenger where the exempted point is the origin airport
of a PSC -- the sector PSC shall not be applied. Where the exempted
point is the destination point of a sector PSC -- the sector PSC
shall be applied.
8. Trains.
When a ticket is issued outside the United Kingdom, taxes will be
converted to the currency of the country of sale at the Bankers'
Selling Rate.
