You know what they should have done was make some TF that turned into
their Cybertron forms. Imagine The Jets turning into those seeker jets, or
Laserbeak turning into that weird bird. I mean there are som many toys out
there now a days that have different themes for the same guy i.e Karate
kicking Leonardo, Farmer Leonardo, taxi cab driver leonardo. Maybe someone
should pass this idea on to Kenner for their new TF toy line. I doubt
they'd be interested, but there's alwyas hope!

Well, I always wanted a Pyramid Seeker too, but I'd rather the
precedent be for a new character for each toy, rather than suffer the
Batcurse. Prime and Megs have a slight case of that already, and Ops got
hit bad in G2, but hopefully they're over it now. By the way, has anyone
ever figured out the transform sequence for the PSeekers? They might make
a great design for the people who've been talking about a really unique
con exclusive toy, hypothetical as that talk has been. Maybe if "G3" comes
to be Has/Ken willl do one...

some more on Mainspring sometime soon

The Seekers always seemed to me like one of Sunbow's greatest uses
of artistic license. I tried following (frame-by-frame) some of the
Cybertronian transforms in "More Than Meets the Eye," and they all use
animation tricks to give the illusion of a logical transform. In a
fantasy realm it works a lot better, but it must make the toys a real
pain
to do concept designs on.

Kenner's Batman line irritates me in just that concept, with zillions of
different Batmans. They can keep that to Barbie and release a new Batman
each year, but not hundreds of them, I want original characters, I already
have four OPs, I need no more OPs, perhaps a posable version of the
original, but otherwise, LOP is great. Most of these different versions
are not much of an improvement, rather just a rehash, I prefer the real
Turtles, the taxi driver is only for major completists.

At the start of "More Than Meets The Eye", the characters only look like
their Earth forms in robot-mode on Cybertron because of laziness in the
animation/script-writing teams. In Beast Wars, the characters don`t have
the animal parts on their body before crashing on Earth because they
thought: "They wouldn`t look like beasts before they came to Earth"
and spent time altering the characters accordingly.

This leads me into an interesting topic...
I note with interest that Megatron is the only Beast Warrior that we get
to see a full-body shot of before the organic conversion process. Anybody
have any guesses as to his original alternate mode? To hear the Kenner
reps at Botcon96 talk about it, it seems that the Beast Wars Boys INVENT
transformation by being the first robots to ever do it, if you subscribe
to the idea that this 'strange alien world' is prehistoric Earth.
At any rate, the BW Megatron toy has very beast-like traits about him in
robot mode. Fleshy shoulders, teeth on his chest which form the lower half
of his mutant head, his lower legs and lower arms... Has anybody ever
thought about replacing or modifying these parts to create a Megatron that
looks like his pre-conversion self?
I've thought about doing it, but I don't know that I want to spend the 40
bucks so I can make two non-organic arms out of the pincer-tail thing.
Anybody else like to steal my idea and try it out?
KKC, let's see... Need to remove the mutant head halves, the wings, the
crossbow launchers and cover up the dino-belly backpack somehow. Other
than that, I think it might work....
