But you're using their service. If you don't give them a fraction of
your money, how do they stay in business?
I put my music on Bandcamp which charges 10% (if you make a large
enough amount of money--I think it only kicks in if you make over
$100.) but is the best music distribution service I've ever used, so
I'll happily pay the fee. (It's a little more complicated than just
ganking 10% every transaction, though.) The only decent alternatives
are iTunes and Amazon's music service, and I absolutely hate dealing
with both (as a consumer) so I refuse to use them--but not for
monetary reasons.
