I was finally at kay-bee when they had him for $15, so i snatched him
up and DAMN he's cool.

In fact, i sorta think he's too cool to be the Optimus we all know and
(some of us) love. So here's my theory. During this battle with Megatron
in sector 17 of the Mirtonian constellation, not only was Prime severely
damaged, but he was, er, pushed Over the Edge, and thus ceased to be the
honour bound hero/obnoxious pansy of old, and became the total badass
that this toy would imply. Maybe Megs killed his dog or something.

Anyone volunteers to write the fanfic? :)

I can't agree enough. I often wonder how it is that no one bought these
in the first place. He is THE best version of Prime. It's a shame that
there are too many versions of him. I've thought about buying an extra
one and placing a different head on him and removing the Op Prime
stickers.
Who's head would look cool on this toy do you think?
Since Combat Hero Prime was released over here without Optimus Prime
written on his chest, I've often thought of putting a different head on
him too.
I removed the name stickers off the G2 Skyraiders and Sideswipe too. Much
better to have new characters, don't you think?

In article <Dw6yt...@cix.compulink.co.uk>,

Oddly enough, I was thinking about ways to make a Lazer Ultra Magnus
earlier today, using the original method of having his trailer separate
into bits and become armor. All I could really come up with was arm and
leg extensions that put the forearm and calf beyond the end of the
original limbs. The legs could be put in the collapsed truck mode
position, but the arms would be way too long. The head would have to be a
snap-over-Oppy's-head like the original UM. The big problem with this is
that it would make his torso way too small, and there wouldn't be enough
length to the bits to make a respectable trailer.
A similar scheme could be used on a larger scale by bending LOP's
arms 90 degrees at the elbow and straight out at the shoulder, and having
UM's arms attatch to LOP's forearms. The shoulders would be immobilized by
a chest plate plugging into the "jump jet" holes and latching to the sides
of the torso, with shoulder motion taken over by the elbow/upper arm
rotiation joints. The legs would attatch in the same manner as the first
suggestion, but be bigger. A large section would be required to fill the
gap between the LOP shoulders and provide a place for UM's head to
attatch, and could possibly be a place for truck mode UM to hide his robot
head. Of course, to actually have a light-up weapon he would have to have
a second lighting system built into the right arm (unless UM is a lefty)
which is a Good Thing since Lop's is a little on the weak side. LUM would
stand about 18 inches high by this method! As a side note, this would
probably be a somewhat frigile toy, as LOP's upper arm and hip joints seem
kind of weak to me. If anyone tries either these (or something else),
please let us know!

While searching local garage sales for TF's, I came across a loose
Scattershot with no acc. and sticker wear, and also two micromasters.
Once is a purple car, and the robot's body is black and silver. The
other is a sleek yellow and grey sports car with a teal body. Any help
in identifying these two is much appreciated.

Agreed. I think he's the best Prime ever made.

The purple one is Road Hugger, the yellow is Detour. They're both members
of the Decepticon Sports Car Patrol.

Roadhugger and Detour, respectively.

Darren, not that I can tell teal from blue or green..

Hey, there. This Laser Optimus sounds cool. I'm sure I'm to late, but if
not were do you think I could pick one up?
Thanks for your help.

If there's a Kay Bee near you, go there. There are still several in my
Kaybee. I would get one for you but I don't want to have to ship
anything and it'll be cheaper if you get it yourself. Plus, there are
other people who would have an easier time shipping it.
