I had to tell someone. Proposed to the GF last night and
she said yes, despite the fact that I'm a grown-ass man
who plays with children's toys.

...Women like that are hard to find these days. You
gotta make sure you keep those ones.

Yay! Congrats, and I hope everything goes well. You know a gal

I hope she likes Transformers.

I also hope that this won't interfere with the G1 subtitles.

Hmm. Sounds like good advice.

We were talking about creating a game room, and putting the TFs
in there, in a display case.

I'm sure you have many worse qualities than collecting toys that she puts up with. Toys are quiet, don't smell bad, don't leave dirty dishes in the sink, and don't cough up hairballs in the middle of the room.

A few other things not to do in the bedroom
1. Don't get a G1 megs out to role-play that you're the Robot Master
2. Don't expect her to role-play Circuit Breaker.
3. Get that display case and put a lock on it before you ever have
kids.
4. Don't play the Beast Wars theme more than 2 times a week.
5. never make her watch Armada if you want her to stay around.

Congratulations, don't put any TF items on the wedding registry.

Look, dude, I'll admit I'm not best member of this newsgroup. My posts
can be odd at times and perhaps I could try and sound a I'm the king
of typos. I just don't know what I've done to tick you off,
man. Whatever it is I'm sorry. Honestly. I mean it. I am sorry for
coming here and being a pain in your ass.

Is there any way I can convince you that I'm not Gustavo? He's a nice
guy and doesn't deserve to be accused of, I don't know, what it is
you think I'm doing.

I should be ignoring your posts, but I'm hoping you can be just a little
reasonable here and we can find a way to co-exist on this newsgroup. Am
I wasting my time?

If leaving will get you off Gustavo's back, I have no problem leaving.
Whatever it takes to get you to calm down.

Perhaps she has a collection of Strawberry Shortcake dolls that embarrasses her so much that she won't reveal it until she has you in the golden shackles of a wedding ring.

Deathy, this may be the last post I will make in response to you. I
know that each time I reply I'm just feeding your madness.

I want to make a final attempt to reason with you, and let you decide
where this mess goes from there.

First of all, I have apologized several times for my first ATT post
as Primus Allspark. I was angry at the current state of affairs and
let my emotions get the best of me. As Starscream (Prime) once said
"nobody's perfect."

As far as acting like a troll, maybe some of my fooling around here
came across as crossing a line. I'm kind of a odd character, so I'm
used to my decisions being misunderstood (and rightly so, when looking
back on them). Having said that, it has never been my intention to
cause this group, or anyone in it, any trouble.

I try to contribute to the fandom in any way I can. Right now I'm
very busy subtitling G1 episodes (I'm starting act 2 of Fire in the Sky
as I write this very post), so if you haven't checked those out I'd
recommend it. Should you see any errors in them please let me know so
that I can fix them promptly.

I've been a lot quieter these recent days. I think back when I first
started out here I'd probably create three times as many posts in a
month (on average), so you can't possibly be mad at me fore posting too
much.

All I'm saying here is that I'm not a troll. Sure I bash the Bayverse
every now and then, but who doesn't? You and I got off on the wrong
foot here. What will it take to bury the hatchet and try to be friendly
from this point forward?

Ultra, I have read enough of your posts recently and Gustavo's posts
over the many years to be convinced you two are not the same person.
Even if you were, why should I care as long as you contribute to the

So, assuming that this actually is Deathy, he's gone crazy and you really can't treat him like a rational person and expect rational responses. I'm sure there's a more precise definition of how he has gone crazy, but hateful paranoid loon seems about right.

There's not much you can do with a hateful paranoid loon. You could taunt them for fun, but that's kind of dickish. You can pity them, but they'll just assume you're taunting them. You can ignore them. You can avoid them.

That's about it.

Don't keep apologizing, don't leave thinking it will make things better -- you've done nothing wrong.

I hope it's not really Deathy. I hope Deathy is off somewhere with his big butted Columbian women in the back of a UPS truck or whatever. He was a freak, to be sure, and I didn't like him, but no one deserves to become a hateful paranoid loon.

This could just be Scottie being a douchebag. That's my hope.

There's no question in my mind that it's him. It's just a shame that
he's chosen to return to the newsgroup by being a complete troll. He
toggles between being absolutely intolerable to being almost likeable,
and right now he's definitely going through an intolerable phase. Let
us hope that it passes quickly.

Hmm, I dunno. For him to just come out of nowhere after all of these
months and start blasting everyone in sight just doesn't seem like
classic Deathy to me. Call it a gut feeling of mine, although I could
be proven totally wrong in the long run. Mabye, he's been lurking all
of this time and finally couldn't bite his tongue any longer. Classic
Deathy was certainly very rude and crude at times in the past, but
this new Deathy seems positively malicious and hateful from what I've
read of his posts so far. It's like what you would get if Deathy was
wearing Spider-Man's symbiotic, black costume, and his positive
personality traits were being totally suppressed. If he is an
imposter, he's certainly done his homework though.

Just ignore Deathy. I checked in for the first time in weeks, saw he's
back and up to his old crap, and immediately killfiled him.

Which is odd because he's on a forum I frequent and actually behaving
himself there for the most part. It's a shame he can't show the same
restraint here.

You're never going to make peace with him, so don't bother trying.
Just killfile him and focus on the good.

I agree that this level of unprovoked rage seems out of character for
him. Usually, he only gets this way if he feels like he's been
slighted by somebody, and then targets them directly. I don't know
what he's been up to while he was gone; perhaps he was badly
mistreated on other message boards and now he's returned to wreak his
vengeance upon the fandom?

Nope. He's been on TFViews for a while and has been mostly civil.
(Mostly because we made it clear we weren't going to tolerate weird
out-of-line comments. It's a place for civil discussion of
Transformers and also comics and other stuff, but we try not to get
into discussing crap like what kind of women we prefer.)
