I finally got my first BW TFs! I bought a Dinobot, and a pack of Megatron vs.
Optimus Primal. The Op and Megs pack kinda sux. The transformations
basically go by themselves, (not much fun in that.) But the robot forms are
very posable, and even seem a bit old GI Joe-like. I really like Dinobot,
tho. The Raptor mode is pretty kewl, and I really like the robot mode too.
One question tho, what's with that deformed raptor head thing over the robot
head. It looks like the robot head is covered with snot! The spinning tail
thing is a little chinsy, but the sword thing is pretty kewl. The transparent
orange plastic looks kewl too, his legs (in robot mode) are like rib cages!
It's a pretty kewl TF, pretty posable in both modes, and a good, pretty
complex transformation. Tell me if anyone else noticed this, Dinbot robot
head looks more look like good 'ol Optimus' head than Primal's. I realize
Primal and Meggy aren't the good 'ol Ops and Meggs in G1 & 2, but stiil. I
haven't managed to break any of them yet, but I can close with Primal. SEe, I
whenever I get a new TF it's always been my habit to attempt to transform it
on my own, without the directions. (I used to pride myself on being able to
transform any TF without directions, which comes in handy when I get a TF from
a garage sale or whatever, and it doesn't have an instruction book or box.)
Anyway right when I got Primal home I tried to transform him. Big mistake
with that auto-transform thing. This promptly messed up his shoulders so when
I transformed him the way the box said to (pulling up the bat's tail.) his
shoulders didn't reach high enough. I hadda pull and push on the frame 'till
I got it right. It's okay now, but a little loose... I hear that there are
other, larger sized BW TF's of Primal and Meggs, with different animal modes,
is this right? I didn't see any at my Toy-R-Us. Also, from looking at the
box Iguanis has the same transformation as Meggs. Sales here is doing good
I'd have to saw, except for Trantulus, there were TONS and TONS of Trantuluses
there! They're no selling at all! There were two Razorbeasts, NO Cheetors
(all sold out) no Iguanuses, ONE Waspinator, NO Terrorsaurs, about four
Dinobots, ONE Rattrap, about three Op vs. Meggs. There was one from the new
collection, but it's name escapes me... Oh, BTW what's with Primals being the
Maximal GENERAL? I thought the position was commader, Meggs IS commander of
the Predacons. Anyway one finally rambling, on the back of the card in the
top corner it says "Beast Wars" and underneath that in smaller letters is "THE
Transformers." On the front of the card it's Beast Wars Transformers. Funny
huh? BTW, the box art is awesome! Love that eye! (One final note: I live in
Sunnyvale, California, in the Bay Area, also in the Silicon Valley. I went
to the Sunnyvale Toy-R-Us if anyone cares.) Oh, anyone got any good BW TF
pics? Oh, and I am enjoying the classic "Excessive force is not necessary."
I wish I'd known that years ago when I first started collecting TFs! I'd have
a lot more intact TFs in my collection!

Because Optimus may not be the supreme leader of the Autobot Maximals.

You too?
What changed that? You say "used to." I still do...

What was hard about Primal? Just missing the fact that you have to pull
the tail up first?

Oh. I see :) Did you try figuring G1 Megs out w/out instructions? Now
_there_ was an accomplishment :)

Yeah, they _will_ be out, but they're not here yet.

Good eyes. The first example of lazy re-use of existing molds in the
new line...

*Zing!* :)

:) My younger brother knew that -- he just took all the _screws_ out of
my Constructicons :( Alas poor, unsuspecting Bonecrusher is the only
survivor, mercilessly torn from the comfort of his teammates, and left
to ponder why _he_ was left behind...

Yeah? Now this sounds interesting... How far along is it?

I enjoyed the challange of not looking at the instructions with the
original diaclone figures as well as some of the later Tfs but this was
lost with the later Tfs. I never had to look at any of the instuctions
again until finally when I first transformed BW Dinobot. My hats off to
his designers who fought the temptation to continue the simplistic
transformations that helped to contribute to the stumbling, thankfully not
the fall of the Tfs as a toyline.

CronoT. Who just recieved his Sixshot in thebox with styrafoam and is
about to take "THE ULTIMATE TRANSFORMER CHALLENGE".
