Transformer sexuality?
We don't ever really see any Transformers mention their parents or
children. So how do they reproduce? Is there sex involved? I like
to think so.
In the comic continuity there's this whole thing with Primus and stuff
that explains where TFs are made. Whatever. The comic sucks hot man
chowder so let's not get into that.
In G1 there's that episode where Megs goes to vector sigma and gets
"souls" for his new decepticons. This certianly seems to suggest that
there is no need for intercourse as well... well that would certainly
suck...
But there is so much proof that sexuality must exist on Cybertron.
What about the women? I'm talking Elita-1 and Arcee... sweet sweet
Arcee (btw if I post porno of Arcee would it be taken down?) ...
anyway... why have chicks if there's no sexual procreation. The only
reason for any species or earth to have gender differences is for
reproduction.
Now I don't know all that much about Elita-1 so maybe someone can fill
in the gaps for me but it seems that she was Optimus's slice of poon.
His piece he would get while not scouring the Universe
Then there's Arcee. So what's her deal? I think this chick i sso hot
that... I'd arc weld a car frame to myself just to get the chance to
smell her hair... well her metal bagel head things. Anyway she's so
obviously banging Daniel. As if the alusions in TF:TM weren't strong
enough then we've got the insanely perverse headmasters series. "I
feel you inside me"... damn that's HOT!! Now I appreciate that Arcee
is playing for the human team. This gives me hope. I mean if I can
ever get past the whole fact/fantasy barrier that separates us then
she's just that much more likely to give it up to me. I just feel for
the other bots. I mean... there are NO chicks around. So then
finally one comes along and she decides to shack up with a human.
That would really cheese me off. There are plenty of human women for
Daniel to shack up with. It's like if a girl studying Engineering
hooked up with some dude from Biology. There are so few of them.
Don't go looking somewhere else for it.
Then there's Beast Wars. This brings it to another level. The
Maximals and Predacons take on the personalities of the animals
represented by their Beast forms. There's no doubt in my mind that
they take on sexual feelings as well. Tigatron was obviously banging
that other Tiger that got killed by that stray missle in that episode.
But there were a few interbot relationships too.
Tigatron and Airazor. This was obviously a relationship since the
whole floating island ordeal. Sure he's a big tiger and she's a
little bird. Talk about elephant and a pig! Some guys like a tighter
fit I guess. Their relationship is so hardcore that they take the
metaphore of joining so far that they actually merge the two into a
single being. That's hard core man.
Silverbolt and Blackarachnia. They're obviously a couple. They kiss
and stuff. Why have this built in urge for physical contact without
the need for reproduction? To answer this question we must ask
ourselves from where the human urge for physical contact spawns.
There are really two source. The one more obvious one would be that
of love. Love leading to sex in a survival of the fitest evolutionary
point of view. But then there's the affection of a parent for child
or any other kind of guardian/dependant need for contact. Well this
bascially all bubbles down to the need for a parent to protect their
child and for a child to seek out the comfort of a parent. This same
instinct should only be present in a situation where procreation is
possible. So Silverbolt and Blackarachnia's attration can only be
explained by sexual reasoning.
... and of course there have been other attracted to BA. Turantulas
obviously had a thing for in in the earlier episode and Cheetor's
"crush" certainly pissed us all off.
The next thing I'd like to talk about is homosexuality... it's
obviously rampant in the world of Transformers but I'll leave that
'till another time. I would first like to hear some other ideas on
the issue.

That's for organic beings. As for technological beings, the two genders, being
based on what we presume to be a human-styled society, are used for societal
balance. The yin and the yang, in a matter of speaking. It seems more than
likely that had there been female Decepticons, there never would have been a
Great War...just speculating on that one.
As for the techno-organic Cybertron after Beast Machines, procreation may be
theoretically possible. Let's just see what Bottanica & Rattrap and
Blackarachnia & Silverbolt can come up with.

Well, in the cartoon continuity, the Quints built and sold Autobots as servants
and Decepticons as warriors, I believe. So it would make sense that some would
prefer a "female" servant instead of a "male" one, which would explain the
genders.
I also think there may be female Decepticons... Amazon warrior women, who were
sold as a lot for a special order... hmmm, I feel fanfic coming up.
Don't forget, by the way, that Rattrap referred to his great aunt Arcee...
As far as the lack of female Autobots... they may have been decimated by the
early years of the war, since many of them were probably built to serve and
were ill suited for combat. Only those who adapted well were able to survive.
Of course, some of these females may have hooked up with stronger, male bots
for protection as well, and it may be certain coding that allows them to feel
affection for these protectors. As far as the male affection... it could be a
learned habit, a conditioned response that causes protective feelings
programmed by the Quints (if female bots cost more, they might have put that
in) or... we can explain it with the galaxy wide female conspiracy. Female
autobots, like females throughout the galaxy, managed to find a way to make
males enamoured of them... for the Autobots this may have been a virus that was
introduced into the programming of various male bots and spread over time...
this virus making the Female Autobots seem attractive and worth protecting.
This could have been done as a survival mechanism by some of the first Female
Autobots after they were liberated from the Quintessons... and it may account
for some of the survivors of the early war years.
In Beast Wars the Maximals and Predacons may have been affected by biological
hormones... but that's a whole nother ball of wax.... or they could still have
the virus, which by now has become an integral part of the base programming of
all bots.
Though I must say, the first post of this thread shows some deep sexual
repression issues...

Transformers which were obviously planted there as sexual innuendo?
I like your whole virus idea. It would certainly explain a lot. I do
have one major problem with your theory and that is simply that
sexuality doesn't even come into it. Sure there aren't any major
allusions to sexuality in the series but still... I think the Daniel
Arcee thing is pretty raunchy. Hard to get past it.
Another thing this really doesn't accounbt for is the rampant
homosexuality which we see. There's isn't too much in G1 although
I've been recently told that Prime and Bumblebee's relationship, if
looked at from the right point of view, is quite gay... and I'm not
saying happy.
As for Beast Wars I've noticed many gay couples:
Dinobot & Optimus Primal: This is the most blatent of examples. Some
would argue that what they have is merely some form of respect but I
dissagree. One episode which comes to mind is "Gorilla Warfare". In
the end Primal is in bed while Dinobot stands vigil waiting for him to
wake up. Sure that's pretty gay but *could* be interpreted in some
sort of straight way but then comes the real kicker... the plant!
Dinobot left a plant by Primal's bed... yeah that's pretty blatently
homosexual.
Scorpinok & Megatron: "Megatron is our true leader"... that
Scorpinok's got such blind loyalty to Megatron. Some would say it's
kind of a choosing the winning team thing... but let's not forget
things like what happened in "Power Surge" where Megatron was all but
scrapped. The smart more survival oriented thing to do would be to
jump ship. Instead he salvages Megs. Such loyalty from a Pred can
only be explained in one way.
Dinobot & Megatron: The entire Beast Wars continuity is nothing but a
tiff between Dinobot and Megs. First Dinobot leaves 'cause he's sick
of being disrespected by Megatron. Megs meanwhile has his piece on
the side, Scorpinok, shoot a missile at him. Megs does all he can to
get Dinobot back. He clones him (which is eaten by Dinobot as if that
wasn't perverse enough), and then... oh yeah he clones him again but
with a messed up spark so that he's more submissive.
Tigatron & Tiger: You know that other tiger? The one we all assumed
was female since Tigatron obviously mated with it... well that's what
Tigatron's beast mode was based on so... shouldn't they be identical
right down to the sex?
Cheetor: He wears yellow on Thursday... and just look at him.
Rattrap & Dinobot: Always bickering like an old married couple.
Someone get those two a room!
Rattrap & Optimus: There always that sexual tension which shows itself
by this infighting they have. I really wouldn't wanna see an ape
having his way with a rat though.

Well, Alpha Trion was the "father of the Autobots." Nosecone called Grimlock
his father. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are brothers. Mojo Jojo told the
Rowdyruff Boys he was his father, but the Powerpuff Girls never call Professor
Utonium "Daddy." Isn't that sad? :P

I don't think there';s any 'mechanical' sex invloved. For G1, anyway. think
about it from a technological point of view. ow'd it... where'd it... OK! I
think it's just a matter of a serial/fiberoptic link, some data exchange, and
then a trip to Vector Sigma. (I actually drew a schematic for this that might
actually work work!)

Well... G1 TF's come from Vector Sigma, which pretty much comes up witht eh
program (if not created in the explenation above) of the 2 'parents' just tell
it when kind of 'kid' they want.

Toyfare just has no clue. Car Robots "re-vitalized" the Transformers line in
Japan? Snuh? If it re-vitalized the line, why were there so many repaints?
Why is there no new TF series in Japan? Why were some of the
toys...erm...lacking in quality?

One is forced to wonder why Toyfare can't do any better. Wizard is still an

As for being unable to post binaries here... well the question wasn't
so much about me being able to put the picture up here but whether or
not it would be acceptable content. So how 'bout a no nipple, no

I really don't think the term necrophile would apply to cars since
they haven't died. Someone who gets hot by looking at their PC screen
isn't really a necrophile since the screen is unliving... they're
arguably technophile... but no more than someone reading a porn mag
would be an arbophile... that being a term I just made up for
something who is aroused by trees and tree derived products. As for
loving manequins or dolls... being attracted to something with no
physical basis such as... well just look at this pic:

I'd love to see that serial/fiberoptic link schematic if it's not too

Another thing... if there is some sort of robot mode intercourse as we
all assume there is... and there's gotta be a beast mode intercourse
so... the beast wars guys should be able to do it two different way.
I can just imagine robot mode Blackarachnia and Silverbolt spread out
on a moss covered rock with vapour venting from their joint exausted
from some hot robo-action and then Blackarachnia leaning over to
Silverbolt and saying "That was heavenly... wanna do it Beast mode?"
So... if Silverbolt's robotic "stamina" is gone maybe he can give it
another go in Beast mode or vice versa. I think it'd be funny if a
couple would have relationship problems where one of them liked it
robot mode while the other liked it beast mode. It'd be like human
couples with partialities for anal, oral or nasal intercourse.

notwithstanding. :)
Beast Wars, of course, *did* have characters display obvious attraction to
another (Tigatron/Airrazor, Quickstrike/BA, Silverbolt/BA, Cheetor/BA),
but certain consequences of that were left unexplored.
Unofficially? Well, whatever you want, I suppose. There's oodles of fics
about what Megatron REALLY meant when he said of Nightbird "She's all I
ever wanted!"; about Starscream having a wife and several lovers; debating
just what, if anything, Tracks is attracted too.
And of course, Beast Continuity just adds more fun. :)

While one could (and I did) interpret the VS/Primus origins as being
complientary (nothing to suggest in my take on the cartoon that VS was not
in fact inhabited by Primus, though as far as G1 proper is concerned, such
must fit under "pink bunny speculation"...), it was canonically
demonstrated in KtVS that in the Great War era one didn't just go and get
offspring (or recruits) ready-made anymore. The trek to VS was pretty
arduous, recall.

AFAIK, the only "out" TF is BW Inferno. A mean, he's a male TF, ant an
ant. (his alt mode appears to be a worker/soldier neutered female, to make
things more confusing.) He addresses Megatron as "Queen". Male ants (and
Inferno does think he is an ant) exist but for one reason -- to impregnate
Queens.
That whole scene where Inferno first sees flaying TM Megs and says
"Royalty! you've *come* for me!" gets a whole new meaning...

I don't think the model kit used the same art, though. I was just curious as
to whether anybody owned this issue and had a scan, since I only took a cursory
glance at the ToyFare issue the other day. I was mainly curious as to who drew
the art and how accurate it was to her cartoon model.

transformers were created as nurses. In most earth hospiatals female
nurses are needed because of the small, thin hands. a small, thin hand
in the operation room is often needed to get inside of the patients
body. The average male hand is huge compared to a woman's
OTHER IDEA'S for female transformers could be for spy missions. you know
the old saying ,"the skinner a person is, the less you see of him in
shadows. female transformers would make perfect spies because they can
slip through tight area's & are more flexible.
most male transformers are built like bulky warriors to fight battles,
perhaps more streamed lined (female) transformers were built for nurse &
spy missions.
I guess not every culture needs SEX. after all the 100 smurfs managed

As for spies there are lots of advantages to being such as weighing
less when jumping around and stuff... but all around a more compact
model is more convenient in any way but Arcee and Elita-1 are by no
means smaller than all the other autobots. Rumble, Ravage and all the
otehr tapes for example are great for spying and they're... I would
suppose male. I guess maybe laser beak could be female though... but
isn't the mere idea of them joining like that with Soundwave sexually
suggestive?

They are machines, built off an assembly line, programmed to simulate free will. We know that some of them are programmed by Vector Sigma, but there are others that have other origins (G1 Dinobots, Technobots, Terrorcons, Scorponok...) but they are accepted into the Transformers "race" without significant question.
We don't know if all the Transformers on Paradron are ancient, or whether they had a different mechanism for creation, for instance. There were a number of other colonies that were found, and a number of other mechanical races.
Given how quickly the Dinobots and Technobots were accepted, I think it is reasonable to assume that if the Lithones transformed, they would have been accepted as Transformers. "Transformer" isn't so much a description of a race, just a description of a robot that transforms -- but Scorponok isn't even a robot.
Further, all the Transformers on Paradron should have eventually shut down because of a lack of Cybertronium, unless they had a different origin.
Predacons and Terrorcons have been seen under Quintesson control, and may have been built recently. Sharkticons are marketed as Transformers and have Decepticon insignia in our world, despite almost certainly being built off Cybertron.

There is nothing canonical to suggest that "male" Transformers objectify the "females" that way, at least not to the point of ignoring all other attributes in favor of their gender. Octane had his Arcee pinup, but we never saw him interact with a female, did we?

Also, most people think Arcee and Springer are a couple in Season 3, after Hot Rod becomes Rodimus Prime.
We also never see Transformers show any signs of jealousy in G1. Cybertronian Transformer personalities are more limited than our own -- or more advanced... Hard to tell, really.
