Walgreens Kingdom Red Alert: Yeah, Good Luck With That

So yesterday, Hasbro spent like an hour on their Fan First Friday livestream talking about what toys were coming out for pre-order.

And I guess they just forgot about Walgreens Red Alert, who quietly went up on their web site some time after those Studio Series pre-orders. Zero fanfare, zero announcement, zero nothing. Yes, I realize that's a double negative.

I'm a little disappointed because he's sold out now. You would think they might have mentioned him, at least in passing, on the venue through which they choose to announce things to the fandom.

Well, guess if I ever get my car fixed, I'll have to start hunting for him at Walgreens and hope that one day he actually shows up.

Only things at my Walgreens TF-related are: Zoteki Transformers Optimus Prime & Starscream (separate packaged non-transforming G1 characters in certain poses), and Warrior (something, can't remember) Bayformers Optimus Prime, which seems to be a hot wheels-like, non-transforming version of his flame-marked truck from the live-action movies. The formers were $9.99 each and latter was $6.99. I'm not sure if any of the Kingdom toys have been there before.

Update: I was reading on the interwebs that Hasbro has said that Red Alert will be for sale at Walgreens in November.

I just ordered Red Alert off of HobbyLink Japan. I never find Walgreens
exclusives and this is probably cheaper than paying a scalper later.

Can't find it now. However, it's a fair bet that once it's out, eBay will be flooded with them. That's always a good indicator of whether a toy has actually hit mass release. Right now, the only ones on eBay for sale are from China, so that says to me no U.S. sellers have found it yet.

I actually was able to get one domestically after it was (briefly)
available on Walgreen's website again.

I swapped those red forearms with my the white ones from my Siege Red
Alert. The color doesn't match 100%, but then again, on the G1 toy those
forearms were silver and not white.

I had to go order third-party spoilers for him. I wonder what Hasbro has
against spoilers on not-Lambos, anyways.

Glad to hear it. I still have my Hobby Link Japan order pending, but I wonder if I should just cancel it. Is there anybody else here who needs Red Alert? Or is everybody good?

I used the grey arms from Deep Cover, which seemed like a slightly closer match.

I wonder if it's their way of skirting around having to pay for licensing rights. If they change the car mode just enough, then technically it's a fantasy vehicle. At least the third party spoilers exist! That's an easier fix than the windshield being the wrong shape or something.

I watched a Jay Leno video on YouTube where he drives a red Lambo
Countach he owns. He had the spoiler removed because he thought it was
"stupid". SMDH. I don't get it.
