Plus there have been posts on Seibertron talking about possible:

Voyager Scourge

Deluxe Kup w/ Energon goodies
Leader Grimlock w/Daniel
Leader Slag w/ Daniel (exosuit)

I don't know how reliable any of this stuff is or what it means.

Can confirm this one is in Walmart computers, but it comes up as TRA GEN SS SLAG DANI. UPC is 63050998965, price is $49.

Zob (confused if Studio Series is suddenly shifting to G1, but also totally fine with it)

Maybe in preparation for the main line shifting to something else?

Yeah the rumor right now is next year's generations line will be called Kingdom and be 50/50 G1 characters and Beast Wars. Studio Series switches over to '86 movie cast so the main gen line can focus on telling this BW story unrelated to the 35th anniversary of TF:TM.

Also I made a mistake in the first post. Grimlock comes with Wheelie, not Daniel, and there's a Rodimus Prime w/ trailer rumored in the leader size class.

Well, next year is the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars. Maybe they're gearing up for something special. They didn't really commemorate G2 in any meaningful way, and they skipped the 20th Beast Wars anniversary without doing much, so perhaps this is the magic number.

A heavy focus to Beast Wars seems odd, unless it was already planned as the third part of the War for Cybertron trilogy. Even that seems a bit strange, since "G1 prior to Arklaunch, G1 after Arklanch, and now Optimus Prime as a monkey" doesn't really form a cohesive three-part story.

Now, I'm not objecting to a focus on Beast Wars. Not at all. I've been wanting new, updated versions of some of those characters for a really long time. It just seems like every time Hasbro tries to pay tribute to Beast Wars, the consumer response is cold and they just sort of dial back. They keep thinking maybe the time is right, and they keep finding out they're wrong. You gotta admire their tenacity, though.

I remain open-minded about this. I have a reasonable amount of faith in John Warden and I don't think he'll steer the franchise in the wrong direction. I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Zob (remember when there was a random Beast Wars logo on the "Siege on Cybertron" box set...?)
