Trixter, Liquid Velcro, Steve-O, Robowang, and myself
found these at a Meijer outside Columbus. 5 cards to a pack
for 2 dollars, I picked up five, and then went back for two
more.

Each character card has a bio. No tech spec numbers, no
motto, but a bio. So here's the ones that haven't appeared
on transformers.com yet. And believe me, the last one's
a doozy.

(Steve-O and Trixter will probably fill in any gaps I leave
with their cards in reply...)

Airazor

Airazor, one of the most powerful airborne Transformers there is, has been
reborn into the Transformer Armada universe in the hopes that her special
aerial skills will help to destroy Unicron. Flying high over the
Decepticons
with her Mini-Con partner Nightscream, Airazor uses her keen eyes to spot
any
Decepticon activity. With the balance of power up in the air, Airazor and
her
Beast companions are in for a strange new future...

Comettor

Comettor is the Mini-Con partner of Jetfire. His serious and technical
outlook on things is a good balance to Jetfire's off the battlefield
carefree
nature. In Comettor's alternate mode, he becomes a transport vehicle with
the
ability to intercept and send transmissions as far as the moon. When
powerlinxed with Comettor, Jetfire displays upgraded targeting and extra
sensory abilities as well as increased firepower.

Longarm

Lonarm is the Mini-Con partner of the Autobot, Red ALert. In his vehicle
form, Longarm changes into a crane, which sits atop the front of Red Alert's
Rescue Vehicle. Longarm analyzes and diagnoses technical problems, which
Red
Alert then fixes. He also helps out during rescue operations, and when
linked
with Red Alert, allows his larger partner to launch stun disks.

Wheeljack

Wheeljack is an exotic sports car with fast lines and fast attitude. Once a
prominent Autobot member, Wheeljack has had a vibrant and rocky past; now he
is a stalwart Decepticon. Lefet behind on a battlefield to die, Wheeljack
has
not forgiven his once good friend Hot Shot who left him there. Now he wears
his scars as a badge of honr: a huge gash tears through the heart of his old
Autobot logo, a blemish he keeps to demonstrate and remind those around him
how he feels about the so-called nobel Autobots. One day he will settle the
ancient score; with Hot Shot's ruination his revenge will be complete. In
Robot mode Wheeljack skillfully wields two energon batons.

Rad, Carlos, and Alexis

These three adventurous kids are best friends to the end! After awakening
the
Street Speed Team Mini-Cons, the three kids became the Autobots' most
important link in the war against the Decepticons on Earth!

Inferno

Inferno is the MIni-Con partner for Megatron's second-in-command Thrust.
Inferno changes into a compact armaments station that can launch a massive
missle. When combined with his partner Thrust, Inferno adds a high-octane
boost of power that gives Thrust super-charge speed and weaponry.

Blackout

Blackout is the Mini-Con partner of demolishor. T his feisty powerhouse
changes into a rolling missile platform with a high-tech sensory array.
When
Blackout combines with his partner Demolishor, he adds that extra amount of
firepower the Decepticons need to turn the tide in the attack against the
Autobots.

Zapmaster

Zapmaster is the Mini-Con partner for the Decepticon jet Thundercracker.
Just
like his cousin Swindle, Zapmaster changes into a super speedy racecar.
Much
like his larger partner Thundercracker, Zapmaster is a speed demon and loves
to live for thrills. He can sometimes be found on racetracks all over
Cybertron and Earth trying to beat the speed records of top drivers.

Unicron

At the predawn of time when the universe was fresh and new the All Spark
sent
two powerful beings out to see how the cosmos was faring --- these two
brothers were Primus and Unicron. Charged with exploring the vastness of
space they travelled from one end of the universe to the other. They
discovered a region of space spewing forth pure energon, power beyond th eir
infinite dreams. Primus could not wait to tell their father what they had
found. But Unicron had other plans; a great desire welled up in his
soul ---
he had to have it for himself. When Primus wasn't looking Unicron smote his
brother and then cast his seemingly lifeless body into a nearby star
cluster.
And thus began the transformation of Unicron into the dark good, the black
sinister side of the spark. Unicron is a massive moon-sized battle fortress
brimming with thousands of gun emplacements and a gargantuan maw he uses to
devour worlds. His soul burns with an all-consuming thirst, a craving that
cannot be sated. He ultimately dreams to rule the universe on day, and to
dominate and control all Transformers.

Swindle and Zapmaster are _cousins_?

How can they be....

Unicron is the father of all the Mini-cons who appeared in the cartoon....

Primus is his brother.....

And Swindle and Zapmaster are _cousins_....

So that means Zapmaster must be the son of....

Dave Van Domelen, notes that this DOES put some other god above both
Unicron and Primus, turning a Zoroastrian dualism into more of a pantheism or
modified monotheism (Unicron taking a Luciferian role).

Here's a few from my set (I'll post some of LV's later tonight):

Leader-1 (I don't *think* this has appeared anywhere, and it's kinda boring
anyway):

Leader-1 is the Mini-Con partner of the Decepticon leader, Megatron.
Leader-1 changes into a self-propelled artillery, capable of inflicting
great damage on the Autobots. When Leader-1 combines with Megatron, he
becomes am (sic) extremely powerful cannon, firing mega-powered blasts.

(Clench's is more interesting, and hopefully Steve-o will post it when he's
done STEALING ALL MY FRIENDS. *sob*)

Rollbar:

Rollbar is the Mini-Con partner of Scavenger. His strength is impressive,
even to his larger Autobot teammates. In vehicle mode, he is able to
overcome rough terrain and rougher enemies. Decepticons and enemy Mini-Cons
never challenge Rollbar without a solid plan of attack. When powerlinked
with Scavenger, the two are nearly unstoppable, able to bulldoze their way
through an army of Megatron's greatest warriors.

Incinerator:

Incinerator is the Mini-Con partner of Blurr. What he lacks in strength, he
makes up for in speed. In racecar mode, Incinerator can outrun and
outmaneuver some of the fastest Decepticon jets. When powerlinked with
Blurr, the two are unstoppable on the open road. It has been said by fellow
Autobots that they are even capable of flight when driving at super speed.

Bonecrusher (Most of this one is just the Land Military Team bio, but it's
got a couple extra lines at the beginning.):

Bonecrusher is a tough Mini-Con land vehicle that carries multiple missles.
(Note: That's totally a lie.) When launched, these missles fill the air
with streaming trails of explosive firepower. The Autobots recognize the
destructive power of the Land Military Mini-Con Team and fight fiercely to
keep them out of the hands of the Decepticons. Meanwhile, Megatron is
determined to possess them and their power.

Skywarp (probably the most interesting of the ones I got):

Skywarp is a sleek jet with uncanny marksmanship, a talent that has helped
fuel his success and rise the the Decepticon ranks. His eagle eye and
ability to hit even the smallest targets has given him the moniker,
"Bull's-eye in the sky". But even his special talents have not allowed him
to escape the uneasy ties he has with his treacherous cousin Starscream.
While he doesn't like to admit it, he owes much of his success to his
cousin. It's a slippery slope. He didn't mind using the connection when he
was young and up-and-coming; now it's like a huge weight on his shoulders
that he cannot remove. It is a relationship that Starscream has no problem
exploiting.

Here he is, among others. I'm including notes on a couple who are posted
on the website to point out minor differences. For the most part, though,
the bios that appear both in cards and on the site are exactly the same in
content, although there are slight changes along the lines of breaking up
long sentences and inserting the character names more often.

Buzzsaw (#12)
Dualor (#14)
Cribbed from Destruction Team website bio, although they have slight
differences. After stating that the team can take on any Transformer
as in the web bio, Buzzsaw's says "Buzzsaw has incredible individual
strength..." and goes on to talk about their awesome ability to combine
with Cyclonus. The web bio says each member of the team has "incredible
strength". Dualor's card, though, in place of the incredible strength
bit makes him out to perhaps be even stronger, saying "Dualor can take on
any Autobot," even though it's also just said the team as a unit can take
on any TF.

Wreckage (#20)
Cribbed from Land Military Team website bio, although it is a little
more specific in saying he "carries two concussive missiles".

Swindle (#40)
Swindle is the Mini-Con partner of the Decepticon, Starscream. Swindle
transforms into a speedy and sleek formula-one racecar. When Starscream
transforms into his jet fighter mode, Swindle can attach to the tail of
the jet, adding power to Starscream's attack capability. When Starscream
is in robot mode, Swindle can link up with his larger partner to unlock
massive rocket launchers on Starscream's shoulders.

Crumplezone (#42)
Crumplezone is the Mini-Con partner of the Decepticon, Cyclonus.
Crumplezone transforms into a powerful tank, with a massive cannon in the
front. Crumplezone also combines with Cyclonus to become a differently
configured nose cannon of his helicopter form, increasing the firepower
of the monstrous Decepticon.

Clench (#52)
Clench is the Mini-Con partner for Galvatron, the reformatted and
powered-up version of Megatron. After Megatron was reformatted, he
decided to 'trade up' his Mini-Con partner. Searching the globe over,
Galvatron finally found the perfect Mini-Con companion in Clench,
Leader-1's brother. Although Leader-1 and Clench share nearly identical
transformations, Clench is ten times faster, stronger and more powerful
than Leader-1.

Windsheer (#54)
Windsheer is the Mini-Con partner of the Decepticon Wheeljack. This
aerodynamic Mini-Con changed into a supersonic jet that aids Wheeljack in
his missions. Windsheer, like his partner, used to be loyal to the
Autobot cause -- but when Wheeljack turned to the Decepticons, the bitter
Windsheer joined up as well. The two now have a vow to destroy all the
Autobots they see!

Tidal Wave (#56)
Tidal Wave is a massive aircraft carrier that is easily the single
largest Decepticon in the fleet. This dim-witted hulking titan contains
more firepower and brute force than any three Decepticons combined. He
is a caricature of all things big, bad and dumb -- he is a slow talking,
slow mindd individual that wields entirely too much military might for
his own good. Incapable of any finesse, he often uses way too much
explosive punch than is required; it is this overkill mentality that
leads to a great deal of headaches and collateral damage. Megatron uses
Tidal Wave, despite his handicaps, effectively: together they combine to
make an unparalleled fighting force.

Ramjet (#57)
Ramjet is the Mini-Con partner of the hulking Decepticon warship Tidal
Wave. While small in stature, this Mini-Con is the only thing standing
between Tidal Wave being an enemy or an ally. Ramjet changes into a
high-speed jet fighter that can add an enhanced boost of firepower to the
already impressively armed Tidal Wave.

Hoist (#74)
In an epic battle, the Autobot known as Smokescreen fought valiantly and
offered the ultimate sacrifice; his metal body was incinerated in a hail
of explosions. Red Alert resuced his spark of life and placed him into a
new body, a rugged Backhoe, and thus Hoist was born. Hoist is a burly
hard-working construction worker who places dedication above all else.
He is the epitome of the perfect soldier: big, strong, and fearless who
prefers combat straight up the middle.

Overload (#76)
Overload is a secondary trailer pulled by Optimus Prime in vehicle mode.
It is his duty to support the Autobot leader, be omnipresent, seen and
felt, but not heard. Overload is a weapons system; in time of need he
transforms into two gargantuan shoulder-mounted energy cannons wielded by
Optimus Prime. This unique combination makes the Autobot leader more
powerful than he has ever been before. Vigilantly standing ready he
waits for Optimus's order, "Powerlinx Overload", a signal that his leader
needs more firepower -- and firepower is what Overload brings.

Rollout (#77)
Rollout is the Mini-Con partner of Overload. With uncanny precision, he
is able to extinguish a fire within a five-mile radius. Unlike other
partner Mini-Cons, rollout possesses an upgrade version of the ancient
Autobot Headmaster technology and is permanently integrated into his
partner's physiology. Forming this head and central core of Overload,
the two Transformers combine to form one of the most powerful Autobot
warriors.

Interesting point - while it doesn't jive completely, this immediately makes
me think of the first line in the first Armada episode, about how an entity
sent forth explorers into the universe...

Rollout has the best profile ever. Before I never really enjoyed him;

I was kinda hoping to see the "director's cut" of Hoist's bio here.
(FYI, Orson once said that Hoist was meant to be an original character,
and not "Powerlinx Smokescreen". That little twist came from the
writers of the cartoon.) I suppose using the original backstory
would've looked like a mistake though.

Props for remembering Headmasters, but I wish they could've mentioned
that Rollout's a Targetmaster too. Then again, there are a lot of
weapon Mini-Cons, so I'm sure it'll come up eventually.

Here's a few bios I'm really dying to see, if you guys manage
to find them (or if they even exist):

Rook & Crosswise (Sideways' Mini-Cons)
Nemesis Prime
the rest of the beasts (especially Predacon!)

Terrorsaur, Rhinox, and Airazor are listed on the index card. No
Predacon, no Cheetor. Nemesis Prime is not in the set either. Rook and
Crosswise share card #46, which we haven't seen yet (unless it's in the

Hm.. all of the beasts Minicons are missing. So is Dead End and Over-Run....

I love how they did Overload (who is basically a drone) and Rollout (who is

get Clench and complete my Minicon collection.. (mutters..)

And indeed I did. Here we go.

Rook & Crosswise

Rook and Crosswise are the "twin" Mini-Cons of the nefarious Decepticon
Sideways. These two Mni-Cons can combine and take the form of a driver
for Sideways' motorcycle form, or convert into a head for Sideways! But
no matter which Mini-Con Sideways uses, the only one he is loyal to is
Unicron!

Thunderclash is missing...every recolored MiniCon team, including the Night

And yet still no Sparkplug. Damn you, Fleer! Damn you and all your
children! *sob*

-Trixter, who will not rest until she has a little piece of paperboard stuff
with Sparkplug's shiny picture on it...

Sure, THAT'S how he got that nickname. If the other Decepticons are
calling him a "bull's-eye in the sky", my guess is that he gets shot
down a lot. I reckon that the other Decepticons have conned him into
believing the BS reason that's in the bio, and they all snicker at him
about it behind his back.

I hope these cards hit some other retail stores soon.

It's not understandable! Don't give in! :D Obscure characters like that are
the ones we need bios for more than any of them! Zapmaster and Clench (and
Clench I honestly thought would be an upgrade of Leader-1, like Meagtron to
Galvatron) are in there. Hopefully Dreamwave will take care of it in their
profiles book.

Thanks

Almost all the Mini-Con bios suck eggs.

Almost all the large TF bios rock on high.

How bizarre.

Rollout's was a surprise. I liked Headmaster technology being mentioned.
Finding out Clench was a separate Minicon was unexpected...

I'm hoping Dreamwave will take care of everyone with a unique name.
Meaning I think the Night Attack Team and the beasts' Mini-Cons
should get profiles, but all other repaints that just keep the same
names shouldn't (that goes for Hot Shot, Demolishor, etc. too).

Instead, if they make the last issue a technical manual like they did
with the G1 profile series, they should have an entry describing
"Powerlinx upgrades", and show all such repainted figures in a big
group shot.

(I'd also like to see the new Dinobots included, seeing as they'll
never get bios otherwise, and they don't really fit anywhere else.
I'm not going to get my hopes up for that though)

That would be great, but I don't think it would happen either...

Um, I hate to burst your bubble, but if Zapmaster came from Unicron,
wouldn't that make him the Transformers Anti-Christ? :)

You didn't read carefully. All the Mini-cons on the cartoon came from Unicron.
Swindle was in the cartoon. Zapmaster was not. And if the two of them are
cousins, they cannot have the same parent.

So if Swindle's father = Unicron, Zapmaster = Swindle's cousin, Primus =
Unicron's brother, and cousin = child of your parent's sibling.....

You see? Zapmaster must be the son of Primus.

I don't recall any notes of Primus making Mini-Cons. They're supposed to
be all a part of Unicron's plan to keep the Transformers fighting.

Unicron's a hillbilly! :)
