For those of you familiar with the Avengers and the X-Men, who would win
between the Autobot Courier Blurr; and Pietro Maximoff, the fastest man
alive: Quicksilver??? Hey, don't trash me for this! It coulda been worse,

Blurr would win pretty easily I'd bet. We know that Blurr is capable of
supersonic speed. Quicksilver, whose top speed is subsonic (except for
snapping his fingers which is pretty stupid IMO :) ), should kill himself
for calling himself the fastest man alive. He's been outrun by Flash (outrun
is too too too weak a word for the actual contest, and contest is too too
strong a word), and that Eternal Makari (sp?) who was rated faster than QS any
way.
Maybe Pietro's been upgraded but I doubt it was enough to beat Blurr. Well
speaking of my second favorite speedster (Flash is #1, hey why not go with a
proven winner? :) the only time that I was happy to see Galvatron batted
around was in the 3-D comic were Blurr used momentum/inertia/whatever to hit
like the big bot that he is.
Still wishing that Blurr was almost as fast as Flash (Blurr's been holding out
on us is all that it is) I was wondering does anyone know the name of the fanfic
were Blurr was saying how lasers were the only thing faster than him? That's
all that I remember too :( I was just thinking though that it was pretty cool.

Blurr would win. They wouldn't have to race. Blurr could punch
Quicksilver in the face and break all his bones.

Its possible that Pietro's powers has changed since then, but the Official
Handbook of the Marvel Universe lists his speed as 175 mph.
Targetmaster Blurr has a speed of 750 mph, which makes him more than four
times as fast as Quicksilver.

There is something else to consider here, besides speed that is. The
title of this thread is Blurr vs. Quicksilver, not who is faster: Blurr
or Quicksilver.
In Blurr vs. Quicksilver, Blurr gets the nod every time due to the fact
that he is a 30-foot tall robot armed with energy weaponry and
Quicksilver is, other than mutant speed ability, is human.
Can we say "Bye-bye, squishy?"

Yes well, Quicksilver is getting his own book in a couple months, so soon
he'll be moving at 3,000 miles an hour with new jacked-up powers going

In a way you're right, it was never explicitly said that this was a
contest of speed. But then again, no one said it was a battle to the
death either. It could equally well be a game of chess (in that case I
have no idea who would win.)
As both Blurr and Quicksilver are well-known for their speed, I think
it's fairly safe to assume that this is what the comparison is about.
