Hehe... good old Hiro Ichikawa. ^_^ I ran the page through a translator
to see what the text was about, and I liked the way one of his comments
about "The War Within" was rendered: "For curing grief of the fans who
look at AMADA (TV) and are drowned in sadness." Did he really write it
that poetically, or is that the web-translator at work? ^_^

A bit of both. The phrase is "kanashimi ni kureru"--literally,
"darkened in sadness"--but there's a similar idiom, "namida ni kureru,"
which my dictionary gives as "be in (a flood of) tears; weep one's eyes
out." I'd run the whole sentence as
"As recent comics go, it's very run-of-the-mill, but it supplies plenty
of content to ease the pain for those fans who are so down in the dumps
after seeing the G1 miniseries or ARMADA (the TV show)."
What else...he feels the reaction to it's had an excessivley flattering
air to it...he think's parts of Don's mecha design work are occasionally
monotonous, but likes his sense of graphic arrangement and overall
layout...he spotted the Japanese TF and Microman logos, and thinks Don
could stand to tone down such fanboyish (and he uses that exact word,
straight from English :-) ) play a bit...he well understands the desire
for TWW-based toys, as he'd like some himself. :-)

Pretty cool. It would have been nice if he'd drawn the costume more
accurately, but I do like the way her ponytail is kind of shaped like a
lightning bolt. :)

Circuit Breaker would rule, if she weren't so hell bent on killing the first
"robot" she sees in every issue (which usually ended up being a damned
Autobot).
Bitch.
Nice pic, though! Thanks again, Doug! :)
