I just went to the BM FAQ at bobskir.com.

The next time I plan to go there, someone, please, slap me upside the
m'ther-f'ing head. I almost got sick reading the tailored questions and
answers - all in favor, of course, of EVERTHING the writers are doing. I
know this is an old debate and in general I like BM, even I don't agree
with/like some of the story elements within it, but maybe the BM FAQ should
be called the BOB SKIR FAQ, hrmmm....

Yes, the FAQ is annoying and invariably points to Skir's "not getting"
Transformers or the BW source material at all. It was pretty clear that in
BW that Megatron referred to the 'Bot/Cons/Maximals/Predacons as separate
groups all still on Cybertron...but Skir tosses that out and says the
Autobots are gone, having evolved into Maximals. Thanks a lot, buddy. It's
little bits like that that just agitate me...

I though BW was the series that said the Bots and Cons were ancestors, meaning
they were gone? What ep does BW Megs say this, I don't remember.

"Everything" is a little strong, I'm pretty sure he's
answered a question of two with some negative oppinions
somewhere in there. Mostly though, he sticks to possitive leters,
you're right. You have to figure though that at least half the reason
Skir has the site is to be a booster, cheerleader, and ambassador
for the show. Of course he's going to be very positive and up
beat about it and try to keep the page that way. I see him in as
trying to fill a sort of Stan Lee role for BM.

-ZacWilliam, Who has been happy to have his
questions answered there twice, even if they wern't always the
answers he wanted to hear. :-) And while Bob could definately
stand to edit some of the exessive praise out of the mail he
does answer I doesn't blame him at all for not answering the
type of hate posts made against him on some boards ,either.

There were a couple references. At one point (I think when he was in
control of the alien ship) he talks about going and taking over Cybertron,
naming both Maximals and Autobots as separate groups...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bob Skir is a fucking idiot. He can't
write and doesn't care what fans want. He just wants to do it his way.

He could be referring to the Autobots aboard the Ark.

Is Mr. Whipple considered a proper name?

Right, it was "Other Voices" part 2.

MEGATRON: "In time, I will destroy [the Vok], as I will your precious
Maximals! ...And the Autobots, too!"

QUICKSTRIKE: "The boss sure thinks big." :)

Zobtrivia (2/8): How many proper names are referenced in "Dare to be Stupid"?

(2/3): The list was of characters in whose tech specs Optimus Prime is
mentioned.

That's right. I had forgot about that. I think I kinda blocked those two eps
out, because for some reason it seemed everytime I turned on BW that damn ep
was on. I got sick of it. But thanks for the memory jog people

As far as I recall, the context implied the Autobots AND Maximals on
present-day Cybertron...(Of course, I would need to see the whole speech in
its entirety again to be sure...)

Let me skip back a few lines, then.

OPTIMUS PRIMAL: "'Home'? You're taking this [MetalHunter base]--"

MEGATRON: "Back to Cybertron, yesss."

OPTIMUS PRIMAL: "No, you can't! There's no telling what the aliens would do
if they become aware of Cybertron!"

MEGATRON: "Let them! In time, I will destroy them, as I will your precious

Maximals! ...And the Autobots, too!"

I've forgotten why we're talking about this, but there's the complete quote, at
any rate. :)

And Quickstrike's timeless response.

"Whoa. Th' boss sure thinks big."

The order of his statement implies, as far as I can tell, that he intends to
destroy the Maximals and Autobots simultaneously, on present day Cybertron.
He doesn't say, "I'll destroy the Autobots of the past, and thus the
Maximals!" He doesn't even mention the Autobots first, but second...as an
afterthought, almost.

Am I the only one that thinks he's doing a Wicked Witch of the West
impression in this scene?

No, no. I thought of that *when I watched the episode*. It was the
delivery. I don't know if it was *intentional* or not, but it was the
delivery that did it for me. I always fall out of my chair laughing at
that part.

BWAHAA! When you lay it down like that, it sure does! Too bad David Kaye

Zobovor... okay, so can anyone name the three allusions to that movie in
Transformers cartoons so far, including this one?

Perspective time, folks. Let's recall that at this time the Autobots had
more or less been ignored by the Beast Warriors. However we learn that
Megatron's Agenda included (reluctantly) to destroy the Autobots on the Ark.
Reguardless, he was planning to rewrite history so that the Decepticons win
the war for keeps, so that the Predacons would then inherit the planet.

So I believe that he planned to wipe out the Autobots in the "past".
(Past being relative considering when they were.) Plus the Autobots are
refered to as ancestors of the Maximals more than once. That means the
Autobot/Decepticons are gone folks. Cybertron is now ruled by their
decendants. Well, actually Megatron now in BMach, but you get the idea.

Going to have to disagree. Even Bob and Larry mentioned that, although
Maximals and Predacons were now the majority, Autobots and Decepticons still
existed on Cybertron.

I went over to Bob Skir's page myself. It seems to be mostly a BM
pep rally page. But what's funny is that Bob seems to get rather
annoyed and somewhat angry when answering those few messages which
don't favor BM.
